I do think a lot of people seem to forget there was no actual footage of Owen falling, and there was a LOT of confusion and panicking when it happened... if I recall correctly, it was during a pre-taped promo, then they cut to a few ads and promos for future events while scrambling to get things in order. It wouldn't be out of line to figure they might clip it just to edit out the scambling portion and just go from promo to JR and King's announcement, then to the rest of the show.
Also, if they get any negative feedback... they can always take it down.
People also seem to think if they say "all ppvs ever" it means they'll have to sit and grin and bear it if they get a ton of backlash about it.... no, it's a simple matter to just remove that ppv and toss up a little addendum on their FAQ "Why isn't Over The Edge '99 on there?" "While, initially, available... the tragic passing of Owen Hart at this event made it a controversial show to put on. Due to feedback received, we decided to remove it."

It wouldn't be out of line to figure they might clip it just to edit out the scambling portion and just go from promo to JR and King's announcement, then to the rest of the show. The timelime went like this: Blazer/Godfather graphic is on-screen while JR pitches to a video on the Blue Blazer. It's important to note that while JR is talking, you can hear a loud noise and a noticeable reaction from the crowd. It's possible that the loud noise is Owen's harness breaking. After the Blazer video, the Blazer/Godfather graphic comes back up while JR pitches to a taped segment of Kevin Kelly talking to the Blazer. At the end of JR's pitch, he says "We've got big problems out here". After the Blazer interview, JR comes on to say that Owen fell. He talks for a bit, then pitches to a video for the mixed tag match. After that, JR continues to talk about Owen. Jerry Lawler re-joins JR as Owen is removed from the ring, then JR throws to a live interview with Jeff Jarrett and Debra.

WHY? I don't understand this decision. The show must go on the network. Owen would want it this way. I thought that was Eddie.

Okay, they have Royal Rumble 1988 listed. Even though, y'know... That wasn't a PPV, that was a TV special. I mean, yeah, it should be on there but still, weird. Theyre also including the first Starrcades, and those were closed-circuit only IIRC. Disapointed that there's no Clash of the Champions or 93-96 ECW Supercards though.

I still want to know if uncut includes nudity It should. The FAQ for the Network says content ratings will include TV-PG, TV-14, and TV-MA. Woooohoo we get to see Kat's boobies!!!! What was the PPV that had Regal's schlong?

Wait so this means there's a huge possibility that the Mickie James vs Trish Stratus match at Wrestlemania 22 will be uncut?!

The only PPV missing from the list is No Holds Barred: The Match/The Movie from December 27, 1989 featuring Hogan and Beefcake against Zeus and Savage in a cage match.

Ive seen the footage before, and while its weird that theyre putting this on here, its not like theyre forcingyou to watch it. Most likely, they'll edit out any commentary and clips that speak of Owen.
What really weirds me out is the Kevin Kelly interview that confirms the existence of a master tape of Owen's fall, with instructions to "never view, destroy or duplicate".

I'm disappointed at the lack of SuperClash III. I know it's probably awful, but still... I want to see it.

You don't have to watch the show guys. Really, you don't have to. So why does it matter if it's made available for others?

As weird as this may sound, I actually thought it was a good show from a matches perspective, when I watched it on YouTube some time ago.
You could tell Undertaker especially did not want to be there, but there was a look between him and Pat Patterson (who was serving as a second special referee) that I really get the impression comforted both men.

I'm glad they chose to include Over the Edge 99. It was an important show and needs to be included for historical purposes. I hope it airs unedited, but I would understand if they cut a few parts out. Either way, I hope it comes with some sort of explanation/disclaimer thing before the show though.

Forgive the tangent here, but when they say unedited with the PPV catalog, do they mean they'll still say "WWF" on pre-2002 shows and not blur anything or replace music? I think I know the answer to the question, but curious nonetheless. Sorry if this has been answered somewhere already.

More than likely an unpopular opinion, but I'm glad the PPV is on here. It's certainly a depressing show to include, but it's not like they're forcing anyone to watch. I'm sure, just like with the Benoit events, they'll include an advisory at the beginning explaining the sad significance of the event. For historical purposes, it's better to include it than to erase it from their history and never mention the event ever again.
I'm more curious if they'll include the Benoit tribute Raw or the moments at Bad Blood 97 where they announce Brian Pillman's death

I think I know the answer to the question, but curious nonetheless. Sorry if this has been answered somewhere already. Well, they're allowed to use the name now in historical footage, though its still been blurred on occasion. I kinda think some of the footage might have been permanently altered/censored/whatever, but I have nothing to confirm this

Can't say I really like the idea, actually I'm really opposed to it, but it's not my place to say someone else can't watch it. Still think it's in poor taste tho

As someone else said, I'm guessing a developer grunt was just asked to make a nice list of all the PPVs for the website. But, if I was the WWE, I'd just put everything up there, once you go in and start editing stuff for content (as opposed to music licensing issues), every decision and non-decision will be scrutinized. If you can just say, "hey, we just put everything up there, you can watch or not watch what you want", it's harder to nit-pick everything.

I have this one on dvd, but after I read your comment on the wire snapping sound/crowd reaction before the match promo, I jumped on YouTube really quick to look for this specifically. You MAY be correct, but I'm leaning towards the snap sound being a sound effect of the match graphic, and the sound of the crowd reacting to seeing the match graphic appearing on the tron. Plus, JR and King seem too comfortable in character compared to after the first promo when Ross couldn't stop saying "Uhh" while speaking. Just my observation, but you might be correct.
