I like that they call it World Wresting Federation at one point and don't know that Renee already works for WWE. The article is from summer of 2012.

Very jealous of anyone in the U.S. Who has access to the network today. Wish there was a swerve and WWE opened this up to Canada at 9:00am !!!

"WWE Network is scheduled to launch in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Nordics by the end of 2014/early 2015."

Said it before and I'll say it again, I'd rather get the Network a few months late instead of never getting it at all.

Well, seeing as how the 1980's didn't come to Canada until the 1990's and grunge music didn't come to Canada until the halftime show of the 84th Grey Cup game...... Probably still heat from the Montreal Screw Job Nothing would make me laugh harder than if on the first day the WWE Network goes live on Canada if the first thing on the network's schedule is the 1997 Survivor Series.

The only things on the network, given how WWE now distributes its own home DVDs globally, that would infringe on overseas TV deas would be the live streams of shows and PPVs. It's easy as pee to geoblock locations so why not allow access to the network for those overseas (with a discount for not getting PPVs) and have just region block out the ppvs?
That seems to make more sense. Okay it's a different service but at least it's some service they could have profited from without infringing current contracts.
