Huh, I didn't know the Beverly Brothers' theme music wasn't owned by WWE.
I'm watching Royal Rumble '93 and as Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan are talking, you can hear the first few seconds of the team's original theme. But when the camera cuts to them walking down the aisle, the music suddenly changes to a generic track.

But when the camera cuts to them walking down the aisle, the music suddenly changes to a generic track. Not exactly. The Beverlys had two themes, one from 1991-92 and one from 1992-93. Here's where it gets stupid. When WWE released the Royal Rumble Anthology DVD set in 2007, they took the exact audio from the Beverlys' entrance at the 1992 Rumble (same theme music, same Howard Finkel intro, same background noise) and placed it into their entrance at the 1993 Rumble. Why? No idea. Then in 2008 and 2009, the SummerSlam and Survivor Series sets were released, and on those, the Beverlys had their actual 1992-93 theme on the 1992 events. Apparently, WWE got lazy and didn't fix the 1993 Rumble for the Network. I just checked the Network's airings of SummerSlam 1992 and Survivor Series 1992, and they both have the Beverlys' actual 1992-93 theme.

ECW One Night Stand 2005 still edits Sandman's theme song with some generic crap. Augh. Also, if you're watching WCW, the "Warning: Contains Benoit" should be replaced by "Warning: Contains Russo"

I don't know if its been mentioned, but an edit I found annoying was that during the This is NXT special, they edit Antonio Cesaro's entrance to just say "Cesaro" and they pretty obviously and terribly edit his call name to just "Cesaro." I'm fine with them calling him Cesaro from now on (even though I think its pretty dumb) but to act like he's never been called Antonio? Come on.

Junkyard Dog's intro in WM1 seems to be heavily edited (and I'm sure I'll see more of this in early WMs). Not only is his music slapped onto the main audio, Finkel seems to have re-voiced the intro. Has it been this way for a long time? Yeah. He originally came out to "Another One Bites the Dust" and they dubbed in the later "Grab Them Cakes." I'm pretty sure they have dubbed his entrance since the original VHS.

JYD's entrance isn't even shown. They even re-did the opening. Vince's voiceover when running down the card is different, and the music went from this ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvlaTT6LB1I) to this www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qUDLL-2bf0.

...they cut out Road Dogg's prayer for Owen. In fact, it cut immediately after to him transitioning to making a prayer for Billy Gunn. EDIT: This is the first time I've seen this in such good quality. Owen's blood is way more noticeable than I thought it to be. Urgh. I thought that "blood" was from a Brood bloodbath earlier in the night on Sunday Night Heat. Thank you for posting this, as I've heard both over the years. Now that we finally have a HQ direct feed of this show, hopefully this will help dissuade further rumors from spreading about this. I found the pre-show from Heat. 100% not Owen's blood.

I didn't think Owen bled after the fall anyway

He didn't - or at least, not significantly. I've been researching the thing all night after I learned about the Brood bloodbath. The most shocking thing I've found was from last year. Kevin Kelly did an audio interview, and he claimed to have actually seen the tapes. Not the footage, but the physical tapes over in WWE's video library. He used to have downtime over there, and he'd routinely browse the library and watch videos. He found the Owen masters and one from Droz's accident on the same exact shelf. Both were commanded to not be released, copied and, interestingly, not be destroyed. They're probably still there, and one has to wonder if someone has recently watched it while digitizing footage for the Network. He did say that he could have easily just copied it but he had zero interest in seeing it, let alone showing anyone.
Sorry if this is getting too off-topic. I just find the idea of all these lost tapes to be incredibly interesting. Just last year they released the hard camera video for Wrestlemania 3. Who knows how much crazy b-roll footage exists out there collecting dust.

With regards to Benoit, I have noticed that the PPVs with the milestones on the timeline bar don't seem to feature Chris Benoit matches. Case in point, No Mercy 2002 has a large gap between the ending of Triple H vs. Kane and the beginning of the match with Trish Stratus and (I think) Victoria. That gap is occupied by Benoit and Angle vs. Edge and Mysterio.

WCW Hotline is edited out. Spots are there but the actual numbers are obstructed. The number could be currently in use by another company and they don't want to be responsible for smartasses calling it about WCW stuff. ...Nope. I just tried it. The NWO hotline became something else though, as I recall.

Couple of questions...
Is "American Badass" in as Taker's first biker theme?
Is Tom Petty's Makin' Some Noise in at SurSer92 and WMX?

Just watching Survivor Series 2002. Surely the '3 minutes and we're outta here' theme for 3 Minute Warning was a Jim Johnston original? It's been dubbed over

Are crowd chants cut? I dont mean the ones in support of a wrestler, but the stuff like "we want flair" or "boring"-type chants.

Not edited: Koko B Ware's theme by morris day or whatever from WrestleMania III I know this was usually always dubbed.

They edited "A Man Called Sting" -_-
Oh and I haven't got a Benoit warning, and I've watched a few shows with Benoit in them. Most I've gotten says "All wrestlers in these shows are fictitious characters and they do not represent the views of the wrestlers portraying them or World Wrestling Entertainment. You can block this show using the parental block feature"

Some of the early/mid 1990s WCW themes were written by Jimmy Papa who is suing WWE for not receiving proper royalties. This would affect 'Man Called Sting.'
I don't think they've ever dubbed over the Jimmy Hart 'soundalikes' like DDP, Chris Jericho, or Raven's music. If they are dubbing over that now, I don't know why that would be.
