Okay, this is a weird one. I was browsing through the Collections section and found the “WrestleMania” music video in the WWE Shorts folder. For some reason, WWE made several changes to it. * “Are you ready for the Survivor Series?” is omitted. *The Nasty Boys’ part is omitted. *The video is almost completely re-edited with new footage. It’s from that era of course, but the clips are totally different from the original. Here’s the first version of the video, if you’d like to compare: WWE made updated versions of the "WrestleMania" and "SummerSlam Jam" videos later in 1993 for this Coliseum Video tape: It had to have been released sometime after SummerSlam 1993 because it contained footage of Bret/Lawler from that show. Strange they kept the Bossman clips in the updated vid since he was gone by this point.

I’m watching WrestleMania 34, and WWE has fixed AJ Styles’ name graphic to reflect the correct championship.

I know the OP was from four years ago, but are some of those edits still there? I was tempted to watch One Night Only on the Network recently, but I didn't. Regarding the Bret Hart vs. Undertaker match, it's a good thing that I still have Bret's DVD from 2005.

It's now the full PPV version with all the matches, including Bret/Undertaker.

SummerSlam 1988 is about 3 minutes shorter now than when it was first uploaded to the Network in 2014. They've cut all the hype for the Leonard/LaLonde boxing match as well as the ads for Survivor Series.
They've also blurred the "of Wrestling" part in the "Superstars of Wrestling" graphics during the video packages. That was not the case when I watched this show a few months ago.

On Thunder 01 (Jan. 8, 1998), different soundbytes from Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan have been spliced into the Network version during DDP's entrance.
If you view the video below, the commentary from 00:03 to 01:00 is completely different from what you hear on the Network.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEqHQzjMFNMOn Raw 509, The Rock singing has been removed from a segment with Rock and The Hurricane. The part not on the Network is in the above video. Was Rock playing some well-known song on the guitar? If not, I'm not understanding why they cut it.

There was/is an issue over Superstars of Wrestling since another company ran using the title under trademark in the late 2000s. It’s supposed to be OK now, but who knows? May also be why we haven’t even heard a whisper of Superstars from the 80s on the Network.

It's odd that they censor the Rock Concerts, but the Elias segments arent cut (as far as I know) and he does versions of popular songs as well.

makes no sense for them to edit the rock concerts when they put the first rock concert on the raw 15th anniversary dvd intact with no edits

On Heat 33, after a commercial break, there should be a backstage interview with Hardcore Holly and Val Venis where Mankind hits Holly with a chair. It's gone from the Network version because right after it, the original broadcast has a shot of an actor in the crowd, followed by a preview of his new show that was debuting after Heat.
They could have just cut from showing the actor in the crowd to Val and Holly's entrance, but they didn't. Their entrance now looks weird because Holly is selling an attack that you don't get to see.

Not so much a content edit as a selective search result, but I thought it was kind of interesting so I'm sharing it here. Searching "midget" gets you a lot of older results from other companies first, as opposed to WWE characters like Dink or Hornswoggle. The Survivor Series 94 match isn't even listed in the results. I feel like WWE wants to mask the fact that they used little people in non-PC ways years after the "different time" excuse might have sufficed.

As far as I recall Dink and Hornswoggle were never referred to as midgets. So there’s no reason for them to come up in the results. Plus WWE never did a much of “midget wrestling” and when they did they were mini or juniors in WWE Speak.

Some Mid-South Wrestling edits:
The Mar. 5, 1983 show is missing a video from the Florida territory on The Black Ninja. I believe it is included when it's shown on a different episode.
The May 28, 1983 episode had some footage on the original broadcast of children being interviewed about wrestling by a local news program at the start of the show. This is gone on the Network. WWE has spliced in a shot of Ted DiBiase and Skandor Akbar to hide the edit.
The Sep. 3, 1984 show doesn't show a video feature of Junkyard Dog visiting a child in the hospital, likely because it's from a local TV show.
The Oct. 8, 1983 episode is missing a video on Lanny Poffo. I'm guessing it's because dubbing over the music would have drowned out the dialogue.
The Dec. 10, 1983 show is missing a Randy Savage video piece, which might be for the best since he ended up going to the Jarrett/Lawler group.
The Dec. 17, 1983 show is missing a Magnum TA and Mr. Wrestling 2 training video, likely because of the Rocky theme playing under it.
The Jan. 21, 1984 program has a Rock and Roll Express video that not only has dubbed music (though the original song, "I Love Rock and Roll" by Joan Jett, is mentioned by Bill Watts before the video) but is shorter than it was originally as well, with several clips removed. The same goes for a video for the Express set to "Rock and Roll Is King" at the end of the Jan. 28 episode. The video is much, much shorter that it was on the original show.
The Jun. 9, 1984 show doesn't have the Magnum TA video "My Way" video at the end of the program (even though it is plugged right before that). It is shown on another episode with different music.
The Jul. 21, 1984 episode is missing a Magnum TA video set to "Born to Be Wild." It's also missing a Hercules/Cornette interview that transitions into a video on the PYT Express right before the Midnight Express match.

The missing Haku vs. Terry Gibbs is now included on Prime Time Wrestling 102 (Feb. 16, 1987). As a result, the episode is now just under 90 minutes long rather than 82 like it had been. Let me know when they fix the 10/20 episode which is missing the Hogan & JYD vs Funks match which is on the Network in the old school section as the house show is there but they edited that match out of the Prime Time episode. My guess is that they removed it because Hogan was teaming with a black guy which they may have found controversial at the time this was added.

On the 1-28-1984 Mid-South episode, right before the music video on the Rock and Roll Express, WWE has placed a tracking line onto the screen to disguise the removal of Bill Watts saying the video will be set to "Rock and Roll Is King" by the Electric Light Orchestra.
There's also an artificial glitch on the 7-21-1984 show when Jim Ross mentions the Fantastics' video is set to ZZ Top.
