Just to be clear the WWE wants a six month commitment, so if I cancel my network early will I pay the balance of the six months or when I sign up do they charge me six months worth?

You pay $9.99 a month. Basically, once your term begins, you can't cancel until after your first six months are up.

There is no early cancellation. And it was stated somewhere that anyone who doesn't pay the remaining months (i.e. changes card info, blocks payment, etc.) will be sent to a collections agency.
You DO have the option when you sign up to disable auto-renewal, which I'd recommend if only so you don't forget and wind up committed to another six months you don't want.

This is what's keeping me from doing it past the trial. I would be fine with a lower commitment.

As of right now, the $9.99 from my card is "on hold". They haven't taken it from my account, it's set aside in case I go past the trial week.

I think legally they have to give you a 'cooling off/reflective' period of a few days after taking the initial payment, not including the free trial, for you to change your mind.
