Episode 9 of Raw, who the hell is that Vince McMahon impersinator, he is really annoying, was that Joe Piscapo?
It was Rob Bartlett, one of the original members of the Raw broadcast team. I just watched the episode. He was (and still is) a New York-area radio personality. I know he has been on the Imus show a lot. He is known as a bit of a funny-man and impressionist on the radio. However, on the episode where he dresses up like Vince, Bobby Heenan really shows him up as far as wit goes. Bobby Heenan's wit was so quick and he came across much funnier than Bartlett and it seemed like Bartlett was trying much harder to be funny than Heenan was. That's funny since Rob was an outside hire specifically hired to bring humor to the announce table. Rob Bartlett was usually annoying (like when he was playing Elvis one week) and sometimes it seemed like he was actually mocking the WWE performers. I got the impression Randy didn't like him.

Right now I'm watching WrestleMania Rewind: The Mania Begins on demand (which still occasionally freezes up, but no where as bad as Tuesday when it took me 8 hours to watch ECW Hardcore Heaven). Favorite moment so far is Mean Gene talking about interviewing Liberace and mentioning how he even got to go up to his penthouse and had a "How do you like them apples?" look on his face. Which looked a little bit suggestive and not the kind of suggestive Okerlund was going for.
I have a podcast "Nothing's Funny with Jeff & Josh". We have a Halloween episode up as of today (October 31st appropriately enough).
And We have a Twitter page as well. @nadafunnypod. Someone already had the handle "NothingsFunny", and @nothingsfunnypod doesn't fit. So we had to use the Spanglish option.
Man, WCW just sneaked a fantastic match up on me. I've been watching Capital Combat '90 off and on today and this Freebirds vs Rock N Roll Express match is absolutely awesome. Besides Robocop saving Sting this show has been mostly forgettable up until now.

Just started the 1990 Great American Bash. Opening bout is Brian Pillman vs Buddy Landel. The card for this sounds pretty good. Sting vs Flair for the World Championship, DOOM vs RnR Express for the tag titles plus the debut of Vader. I'm loving being able to watch these shows in chronological order. I'll be watching the 1990 SummerSlam after this. The Network is going to destroy my life.

Watching ECW Hardcore Heaven 2000. Fun show so far with a really hot crowd, Tajiri decimating Steve Corino, and a fun brawl with The Sandman and Rhino. Rhino just put The Sandman's wife through a table with a piledriver.

Mean Mark vs Lex Luger for the U.S. Championship at the 1990 Great American Bash. So cool seeing 'taker in his Pre-Undertaker days. He's been The Undertaker for so long that you almost forget he ever did anything else.

There is talk of releasing the entire old collection of Madison Square Garden house shows on the network in several months. One of the things about this is that it’s not like you just punch a button and you put things on. The process of getting the stuff ready is time consuming, but that is at least an idea on the drawing board.
Anyone would think they've been taken by surprise by this network idea they've been planning for about three years.
Oh Rob Bartlet during that Raw with Heenan and Monsoon was like someone just farted at a harp recital. His Vince impressions were not even amusing initially but throughout the whole show were just painful. The other two were clearly tiring of having to acknowledge him.

yeah, but the actual distribution setup hasn't been in the works that entire time.
It's probably only been shortly before the official announcement.
After all, for the majority of the 3 years they were planning it as an actual TV network not an on demand service.
I was there when we got the Wrestle out, when we got our Freak on, and when we always WON!

Currently watching ECW's old syndicated show on the live stream right now (although who knows if this is syndication seeing as how I don't know if they aired out of the Philadelphia market at this time) from November 1, 1993. During it's NWA: Eastern Championship Wrestling. Tod Gordon's acting is Troma Films level of bad as he tells Paul E. Dangerously about ECW's "board of directors" when discussing the stipulation of a Sabu/Hawk vs Terry Funk/Mystery Partner (who I believe was King Kong Bundy) at the first November to Remember. Funny seeing Joey Styles do his on camera segments in fron of a table with a small monitor that says "ECW" on the screen. The show opens up with some generic rock guitar music. Was this the actual theme song or was this dubbed over a popular song to avoid paying liscensing fees? Because either way it fits the look of ECW in its pre-Extreme days. We see a Sandman backstage promo in which he is still doing his surfer gimmick. It's funny seeing Sandman's face minus 21 years of blade jobs, smashing himself in the head with beer cans, and drinking said beer before smashing himself with said beer can. And man, Peaches was so pretty! I only remember her as part of Raven's flock where she looked hot and all. But in a very grunge/riot grrrl kind of way. But man in '93 she was breath takingly pretty. Also, even though this episode was booked by Heyman, it's still not far removed from Eddie Gilbert's tenure as booker and hasn't totally shed the "Memphis-North" feel of the show. Also watching Eastern Championship Wrestling and comparing it to Extreme Championship Wrestling shows how a show can be low budget and look cheesy or be low budget and seem edgy and cutting edge.

The first Raw is off the list. you now have to put Raw 93 in the search to find it
Searching for RAW 93 on Apple TV did not yield the search. Hope they have not pulled it. A warning,if they ever pull something, would be nice.
