We have one for the edits, how about one where we name what's kept or returned from previous versions?

Despite most Jimmy Hart soundalikes being edited out, Hugh Morrus's The Zoo remake is kept in Slamboree 2000.

I have the VHS but not the means to check it and I need to know for my podcast this week.

Royal Rumble 1992 has the original Rumble theme that was edited out of the anthology.

I am guessing with the Network, WWE fears scrutiny over even a Jimmy Hart Version that sounds too much like the original. It's not a new thing...on Wii's Virtual Console, there is a level in the arcade Ninja Gaiden that originally used a ripoff of Iron Man as a boss theme (said bosses are in turn ripoffs of the Road Warriors, so....). The theme does not appear in the Wii version.

Royal Rumble 1992 has the original Rumble theme that was edited out of the anthology. This would be the same song used for Summerslams '88 and '89, no? (debuted as the Rumble theme in '91)

Mentioned elsewhere, but based on seeing Fall Brawl 93 and Superbrawl II, a LOT of the original WCW themes are retained, as is Michael Buffer. Jimmy Papa-written ones are gone (does Everybody Here Comes 2 Cold Scorpio count here, as that too is gone) Nasty Boys' 93 music seemed different, but I didn't listen carefully (this was before "We're the Boys"). And though they seemed to be after the Jimmy Hart sound-alikes, they keep Dustin's old Dire Straits ripoff.
I was impressed, though, as even the stock music was targeted by the Music Clearance Monster in the past.

Left in-tact from the first Raw: Rob Bartlett calling Yokozuna "oriental" and joking that Shawn Michaels pulled a knife during his match vs Max Moon. A Feb Raw also has a racist Jim Duggan calling in a promo and mocking "yakazuma's" funny Japanese name.

At the end of Halloween Havoc 1989 "War Pigs" by Black Sabbath can be heard playing in the arena pretty clearly.

A Feb Raw also has a racist Jim Duggan calling in a promo and mocking "yakazuma's" funny Japanese name. On Superbrawl II, they keep Jesse suggesting that Ron Simmons could become a butler, or words to that effect. Scott Dunlop is still in Fall Brawl '93 as well. Sign of the times (literally): the Beavis and Butt-head "Huh huh huh, wrestling is cool" sign that keeps getting on camera on Fall Brawl. WCW seemed to reference B&B a lot, actually... Also, I notice that in FB93, in Cactus Jack's interview, concert posters are left alone. Though they never really bothered with ads in the arena rafters. FB93 also has the "WWE performers' characters <> their real selves/this event contains views that don't belong to WWE" warning at the beginning. Now, by then Chris Benoit had left WCW for the first time, so was this just because the show was rated TV-14?

Tracey Smothers declaring "Ahhh s***!" after a hard bump to the floor during the opening match of Starrcade 1991: The Lethal Lottery: still as existent as when I first heard profanity on television. Ah, young memories.

Did they keep Sting's 89-92 theme and Luger's 89-92 theme? Those are two of my favorite wcw theme songs.

SummerSlam '92 has been restored to its original version.
When WWE aired the show on Classics on Demand, they edited out two instances of Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan discussing whether or not wrestlers were choking their opponents. In the opening tag match Heenan originally said "It's not a choke; it's a good legitimate sleeper hold." The Classics version cut out the first part, so all you heard was "It's a good legitimate sleeper hold." Then, during the Nailz/Virgil match, this bit of dialogue was omitted:
Vince: Oh come on that, that appears to be a chokehold! That's a choke, ref!" Bobby: No I can see his Adam's apple from here; it's fine."
Both of these are included in the Network airing.

Probably not as surprising, but surprising with WWE's gimmick protection:
Despite making all their match choices for his three DVD releases to cut past 1998-2000 in WCW for the point of protecting his WWE gimmick, Rey Mysterio's unmasked face is not blurred out on WWE TV releases. (It's not too surprising of one, but given how much WWE protects Rey's gimmick otherwise, you'd really think they would have.)

I mentioned in the other thread, but they keep in Limp Bizkit playing Taker to the ring at Mania 19. Not terribly surprising since they kept it on the WrestleMania Anthology, but still.
Edit: Huh, they shelled out for Hogan to have Voodoo Child. Did not expect that. I don't think he even had it on the anthology.
