As the title suggests, I'll be headed to a house show in North Charleston tomorrow night, and I'd like some advice about things like, when should I get there, how long does the show last, etc etc.
In return for your advice, this can also be a thread for stories about house shows you've been to yourself.
EDIT: Show starts at 7:30. The hell did I forget that?

If it starts at 7:30, I'd recomend getting there around 6:50 so you can settle in, check out the merch stand (which I also recomend), get something to munch on and use the restroom.
The show will usually last around 3 or 3 1/2 hours.
Also, don't zone out and check your phone during matches that, on paper, you wouldn't be interested in. House shows are great for seeing guys experiment and tuning up their act. Not saying you'll see Ryback do a moonsault or anything, but you might be surprised.
just overall, soak in the atmosphere and enjoy it.

Honestly? Have fun.
Believe it or not, going to a WWE show isn't all "CM Punk" and "YES!" chants. Unless this is the first time you're ever going to go to a WWE show you're more likely going to get better matches than you would on a TV taping.
It's been five years since I was last at a WWE event but I don't care when I say I would cheer Cena the next time I went to a WWE event.
Just have fun man, that's the best advice I can give you.

The ones I've been to have started at 7:30 and finished around 10:30 (with a 15 minute intermission half way through)
Not much really happens before the show starts, from around 30 minutes before they show stuff on the video but its nothing too exciting. Although as previously mentioned it is worth getting in the arena around 30 minutes before the show starts just to savour the pre-event build up.
Its also fun just wandering around outside the venue before the event starts too, see lots of people dressed up (IRS, Papa Shango, Wyatts, Piper, Undertaker were amongst the many costumes I saw last time), its good fun.
So basically just have fun, play along boo the heels, cheer the faces (be a mark for the night) and more importantly....don't take signs!

Definitely bring a sign, preferably one with the drawing of a bomb with Batista written on it.

Make sure to chant CM Punk really loudly and tell all the kids around that Cena sucks and only knows 5 moves. Then chant CM Punk EVEN LOUDER, completely ignoring the fact that WWE would love to have him back, too.
Afterwards tweet about how you stuck it to Vince and hijacked his show while making fun of little kid marks.

I've only been to one house show, but there isn't that much to it really. Get there maybe a half hour, hour in advance - really not urgent to be there that ahead of time since it's not going to be that busy compared to a normal show, get yourself a T-shirt or something (where is my Straight Edge Hardcore shirt anyway, come to think of it? Know where my Sex & Violence one is), and just have fun from there. Only house show I've been to was fun, but nothing too terribly memorable - main things that come to mind were a Punk / Burke match (Punk was ECW Champion at the time) and the main event was Edge and MVP against the Brothers of Destruction, and weirdly Taker played the face in peril. Also there was this guy early on the show who could be best described as Blobby Lashley who never actually made it onto the roster.

Take a megaphone and shout the wrestler's real names and past gimmicks.
In all seriousness House Shows are fun, you see much more wrestling than at TV tapings.
The last show I went to my brother got The Great Khali's attention and he spent the rest of his match looking over at our section every few minutes. He is scary in real life.

House shows are a ton of fun. No need to get there too early, unless you wanna account for possible merch lines or something. I went to one last summer and it was so much fun. This was around the time Cena hurt his elbow so he wasn't there, but we got The Shield, RVD, Mark Henry, Big Show, Orton, D-Bry, and even an entertaining Divas match (Alicia Fox ftw). The Wyatt's entrance was really cool in person too, had the whole crowd fixated on that eerie vibe. Wrestling is just so much fun to watch live and it's not a chore to enjoy from the cheap seats (in fact, I would rather sit nosebleed then on the floor)

Talk about the wrestlers using their real names a LOT - and make it loud enough for everyone around you to hear it, too. This is ideal if you're by yourself, too, since you can make a lot of new friends this way!
Boo all faces, cheer all heels without fail. Daniel Bryan vs Curtis Axel? Looks like Mr. Axel's getting some cheers tonight!
Randomly talk about TNA for no real reason. Cena just did an AA? Say something like "Cena wouldn't last 5 minutes in TNA."
Leave the show early to "beat traffic", and make sure to be as obnoxious as possible while leaving. Little kid holding a drink? Knock it over with your goofy uncoordinated flailing around!
That's my advice based on my last house show and this super cool and not at all gross and annoying guy who sat in front of me.

There was a guy at a show yelling everyone's real names over and over like it was classified information, don't do that.
Be cool to everyone, there will be a lot of kids there likely, and from my experience house show crowds tend to be 90% Cena.
If you get there around noon, you can meet some of the wrestlers going in if you find the spot where they go Inside.
Be prepared for lots of social media stuff from the ring announcer. Don't expect any surprise returns or appearances, usually whoever is advertised will be there and that's it.
Also wrestlers can interact with the crowd more so be sure to yell a lot, if you bring a sign don't hold it up long.

Stay around for a bit after the show. There might be wrestlers lurking about. That's how I got a sweatband from John Cena from the first house show I went to last year.

Expect people to be throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks e.g. Cody Rhodes doing the "not the face" thing for a few weeks before he did it on TV

Your best bet is to wait until people nearby are enjoying something, then stop them to tell them how much better something from the 80s was than what is happening right now...preferably from another wrestling fed.
Also pick one match that has nothing to do with ethnicity, stand up and loudly chant "USA! USA!" the whole time without any breaks. If anyone complains, laugh at them and comment on how they probably don't even know the real names of the wrestlers competing.
