Spurs in 4. The faster this gets over with, the better. I'm gonna be sick and tired by game 3 hearing over and over again how LEBRON IS GOD or SAN ANTONIO IS THE GREATEST FRANCHISE! Go anyone else in 2015. Okay, what in the world is that all about?

Forget the Finals- how many bottom 5 seeds have crashed the conference finals party in a non-lockout shortened season since the '95 Rockets? Mavericks in 2006 as a 4 seed, and the Celtics in 2010 as a 4 seed. It's always been like for the NBA. The Rockets and 81 and 95 both got to the Finals as 6 seeds, but every year it's the 1-3 seeds in the NBA Finals. In 1978 the Sonics made it as a 4. This notion that the NBA isn't as competitive, or that years previously were the good old days when everyone competed, is false. Also five 8 seeds have beaten 1 seeds. All 5 happened in the last 20 years, and 3 of those have happened in the last 7 years. The NBA Playoffs are playoffs where you guarantee that the BEST team in the NBA is the champion. The NFL, you can say someone got hot at the right and that doesn't mean they're the best team in the NFL. It's like that for the MLB, as well. For the NBA it's the best team as champion at the end of the season.

Yes, you get the best champion, BUT for teams that are in the next tier, it feels hopeless.
In the NHL, we've seen other tier teams win titles- 3 seeds, 4 seeds, 5 seeds. To put this in perspective, let's compare seeding matchups for the SCF since the lockout:
2006- 8 seed vs. 2 seed 2007- 2 seed vs. 4 seed 2008- 1 seed vs. 2 seed 2009- 2 seed vs. 4 seed 2010- 2 seed vs. 7 seed 2011- 1 seed vs. 3 seed 2012- 6 seed vs. 8 seed 2013- 1 seed vs. 4 seed
In the NHL, a 3 seed is a workable route to at least round 3. In the NBA, being a 3 seed doesn't feel good enough. Hell, since the 3 divisions per conference era in 2004-05, the Spurs have been a three seed 4 out of 10 years.

Give me 5 good reasons why I should be interested in these NBA Finals. I honestly can't think of any.

Give me 5 good reasons why I should be interested in these NBA Finals. I honestly can't think of any. Then don't watch and quit spamming half the page. At least then we won't have to hear your constant whining about it. Seriously, I never say this, but I haven't heard you say a single positive thing about the playoffs since the first round. If you're never satisfied unless some 8 seed wins it, then basketball just isn't the sport for you. That shit isn't, and has never been, part of the sport. People have already talked about why this series should be good, last season's series was a classic, but if you're going to whine because you don't like the teams in it, then not a damn thing anyone says will change your mind. Go enjoy the Stanley Cup and quit complaining every single post. You don't like it when the top teams compete, we get it.

Part of me want Spurs to win because of how close they were last year and so Tim Duncan can get his fifth ring. The other part of me wants the Heat to Threepeat so I can see all of the Lebron Haters get an ulcer.

Duncan getting his fifth ring would be cool, and maybe he'll retire if he does.

Give me 5 good reasons why I should be interested in these NBA Finals. I honestly can't think of any. 1. It's a rematch of last year's great Finals. 2. They're the 2 best teams in the NBA. We just saw a Super Bowl between the best team in the NFL and the 4th best team in the NFL. Here you know the 2 best teams are going at it. 3. It's a better matchup than Heat vs Thunder. Heat would beat the Thunder in 5, sorry. The Thunder don't have the coaching or bench to take down the Heat in 7 games. San Antonio has the coaching and bench. 4. Tim Duncan might be the greatest PF to ever play. This could be his last NBA Finals, so you can watch an all time great. 5. LeBron could become the greatest player ever. You are witnessing it! It's excellence that has to be seen.

According to Yahoo! Sports, the Pacers will keep Vogel for next year. Aw, dammit. Who do you think is going to be The Pacer's sacrificial lamb? Likely Lance. Vogel does have a year left on his contact, and trading Roy will be difficult. Lance Stephenson's the easiest guy to remove, and he has hurt his value in the league.

Ugh, that ball movement was a thing of beauty...
If the Thunder could be consistent, they could probably dominate the league. They have two of the best players in it, and they made the right choice in picking Ibaka over Harden. But they're such a bipolar team that they're just eaten up if things don't go their way. They can fight back, but it's such streaky basketball.
