This just popped into my head as I was watching the Knicks-Pacers game, but can we stop talking about "how much" the Knicks gave up to get Melo? Gallinari is out injured, Wilson Chandler isn't all that great, and the Nuggets STILL can't get out of the first round. The Knicks clearly won that trade. The Nuggets also have the better record this season, and getting out of the 1st round in the West is more difficult than getting to the Eastern Conference Finals. True, the West from top to bottom is much tougher than the East and that should be accounted for. However, I think there's something to be said for the Knicks being dead in the water pre-Melo to at least being a playoff contender that can steal a round or two if they get hot/Melo turns into Superman. The problem I have with Denver is that they're (still) essentially Hawks west. Good enough to compete for the playoffs every year, but won't ever compete for a title.

Miami and Boston are currently tied at 78 in the third quarter.
The Heat are such a one-man team, it's astounding. If LeBron James disappeared off the face of the earth tomorrow, Miami wouldn't get out of the conference quarterfinals.

Andrew Bynum had his right knee drained on Monday and is concerned at how much fluid was removed.

The Celtics should be tanking, but damn if there isn't anything more satisfying in basketball than watching the Miami Heat slink off the floor a defeated team.

Andrew Bynum (knee) is expected to be out "a while" according to coach Frank Vogel.

Knicks almost blew it against the Sixers, but they win the 8th straight while the Sixers drop their 23rd in a row.

Hate to say it, but it may be time the Thunder pass Russell off to another team while there is still some value to him, rather than hold onto him as he becomes even more damaged goods.....

Marc Gasol was originally going to return to Friday's game after spraining his left ankle, but later he and the Grizzlies decided that he would call it an early night.

Ok just saw Russ' injury. At the minimum, that is a sprain. But considering that was the knee he injured and needed two relatively recent surgeries on, it could be a lot worse......either way Russ is missing games. And now the Thunder higher ups face a tough decision. Do they bench Russell the rest of the year for the sake of his future, but make this more than likely another wasted season? Or do they play him, if his injury isn't too severe, and put him at risk for another injury to that knee?

The Kings are playing the Spurs really tough right now. Hopefully we can get a win tonight.

You don't really have a choice any more, even if you want him to be trade bait.
