There seems to be a ton of old WCW PPVs missing. Every Great American Bash 1989 through 1997 is missing. Why do they randomly take down PPVs?

To take out or restore material. WrestleMania XIX was taken down the other day and re-uploaded without Voodoo Child. Several ECW PPVs were taken down and re-uploaded with intact cursing etc.

I know for sure that Havoc 90 was the VHS copy.

I am wonder why didn't they put Great American Bash 1986 and 1987, they have all the Starrcades and not all of them were PPVs. Granted GAB 85 might be a challenge as it was released on home video by Vestron home video and not Turner, so they might not have the rights to that and it all the matches where clipped, and only an hour long. They might have to do what they did with Showdown at Shea and have originally commentary or have the whole event shown without commentary, which would be cool. But the home video releases of GAB 86 and 87 they should be included, as well as the Crocket Cups.

The 1985 Great American Bash was an event, but in 1986 and 1987, it was just the name of a series of shows in the summertime rather than one event held on one day. The Crockett Cups, at least in 1987 and 1988, were two shows held over two days. WWE does have the full shows. Matches from the 1985 Bash (Dusty vs. Blanchard), the 1986 Crockett Cup (Road Warriors vs. Garvin/Magnum), and the 1986 GAB tour (Flair vs. Morton, Road Warriors vs. Koloffs, Flair vs. Dusty) have been released on various WWE Home Video. However, all of them, while shown in full, either had no commentary or commentary done specifically for the DVD.

Have Michael Cole or someone to do play by play, and bring in guys like Flair, Rhodes to do commentary on the matches. And have the best of GAB 86 and 87 added to the catalog.

If you go under WCW PPVs and select the individual PPV tickers, you can find some of the missing shows (at least I could a few hours ago). I'm not sure if they load up when you play them, but they're seemingly there.

The old GAB are back and "Bad Street USA" is no longer dubbed over. It is even used to dubbed over "Free Bird" on GAB 89.

You have to give credit to WWE. They truly seem to be trying to give us these events as unedited as they possibly can be.

Steinerized has also been edited back in. So I assume that means every song from the Slam Jam album is back in as well.

Have they done anything with Sting's "Man Called Sting" theme yet? Last time I checked, they dubbed over that theme for some reason.

Have they done anything with Sting's "Man Called Sting" theme yet? Last time I checked, they dubbed over that theme for some reason. It's on at least two shows that I know of: Beach Blast '93 and Bash at the Beach '95. WWE dubbed over it because of a lawsuit brought on by the song's author, Jimmy Papa. "Man Called Sting" was on the WCW Slam Jam album, and if a song from that collection was used on a PPV, WWE replaced it with a generic instrumental. I haven't heard anything from a reputable news site yet, but over the past week or so WCW shows have been disappearing, only to be brought back with the original audio. That would seem to indicate that WWE and Papa have reached a settlement in the case.

Yep, I first heard report of the restoration of Jimmy Papa music on the Fan forums. I am currently watching Capital Combat and it's nice to hear Badstreet USA as I had watched a lot of PPVs from 1988 and 1989 in the past few weeks when this theme was dubbed over. It's obvious WWE has reached a deal with Papa.

With the last few shows they've done this with, I have absolutely no problem with it as they seem to work quickly and get the content re-added as soon as possible.
Definitely looking forward to hearing "Badstreet USA" in all its glory again.
