Hey guys, I'm at a gaming convention here in OKC called Super Bitcon! and it is pretty awesome so far.
I've met and chatted with Projared and AlphaOmegaSin.
They are freaking awesome in real life.

"Leap Of Faith"...gets an 8/10 from me.
What I liked about this episode:
-The conflict for AJ was really well developed (except one hiccup I will mention below) with her juggling between telling the truth and hurting the feeling of her granny and denying the truth and keeping her granny happy. I really felt for AJ's struggling to do the right thing and it was portrayed in a really realistic manner.
-Loved that the Apple Family got time to shine as well. Granny Smith was fun to watch, Apple Bloom was adorable as always and Big Mac was his usual self (although I kinda wish he would have the odd sentence now and then).
-While no Coco Pommel, Silver Shill was a good one-shot character that got the point across.
-The song was certainly better than the first Flim Flam song and the brothers were decently portrayed as dishonest con-men throughout.
What I didn't like about this episode:
-One small change would have solved the one big problem I had with the episode:
Devote one or two short scenes to some ailing pony claiming that she drank their tonic but it didn't work. Flim and Flam answer that she just need to drink more of it to have an effect because Granny Smith and Applejack approve of this tonic. This convinces the ailing pony to just buy more of it because if Granny and AJ approve of it, it must be working.
This is my big problem with this one. Besides Granny Smith and Silver Shill, we never see how drinking the tonic affects the other ponies who are buying the tonic. I can believe Granny doing the stuff because she grew confidence because of that tonic, but what about the ponies with the illnesses to whom this tonic will do diddlysquat?
We really needed a counterpoint like that to make the conflict and the moral resonate more than it. As it stands, it weakens the moral because we never get to see a counterpoint to Granny Smith's success.
-Because of this, a few scenes that went on too long could have been trimmed to devote more time to strengthen the moral
As it stands, "Leap of Faith" gets an 8/10 from me.

The way I see it:
-A battle of the bands tournament takes place -An arrogant band hits the scene, annoying everyone at school -The mane cast want to battle them, but have no musical talent -Vinyl Scratch will act as mentor to help them find the "music inside them".
