www.cracked.com/quick-fixes/4-reasons-this-one-kickstarter-proves-humanity-doomed/As that cracked article points out; instead of donating to curing diseases, within three hours, people fully funded a reimagning of the nazi invasion of Russia(operation Barbarossa). To be specific, the kickstarter is to fund an American translation since it already had it's release in Japan(the pitch video is gold). Me and my friends will probably get a game and play it at parties/cons.  Lil Fuhrer here.

Well keep in mind that this isn't that odd in Japan. Remember Japan kinda has a boner for Germany.
So to me the worrisome thing isn't that this exists in the first place. It existing is just Japan being Japan. Nah the worrisome thing is that it got funded to have an English release.
Cause that means the backers were thinking with their lower heads and ignored the fact that it is about Nazis.

It's understandable why people wouldn't like this game, but I've seen some big overreactions on facebook. I read one guy say "Sorry, but if you own this, I refuse to acknowledge you as a person."

Bare in mind, Russia is not exactly at the top of many people's list of favorite places at the moment for rather obvious reasons (see my post above). So a lot of people probably threw cash at this more or less as a way of just giving Russia the bird and feeling like they somehow did something. PS, what would you whisper in that girl's ear? |
