Given it crashed during Main Event this week, I guarantee it's going to happen during Mania and most likely during the Hall of Fame as well. If I were to guess, when it does fail it'll probably be at around 7:15 or so, since not as many people will be watching the preshow as the event itself and there'll probably be some people starting it up late. It didn't crash on everyone though. So who knows what the hell was up with that.

I'm still ordering the PPV, I don't want to risk it.

They should have had a live 2-hour main-roster 'special' in the lead up to it, bridging between TV shows. ArRival was no real dress rehearsal at all.

I wonder if it's a catastrophic failure, how that would impact business for them?
Would they hold off on leaving cable PPV? Would that put them at a disadvantage for ANY negotiations anywhere? Could it spell doom for the company?
I just think it's absolutely moronic for them to have launched without testing an actual PPV caliber (nevermind Wrestlemania caliber) show on the network. Can MLB's servers handle it?

My wife works in Dev Ops, which is a fancy way of saying she launches and maintains servers for a living. She wanted me to relay the following:
"We won't see a massive, full-scale system failure. We just won't. Now I don't pretend to know what their infrastructure looks like, but I can take a guess, as MLB has proven over the years they know how to properly maintain a server. More than likely, there are multiple data centers in several regions of this country dedicated to the WWE Network live stream. What that means is if servers in one region fail, users will be rerouted to another sector. Also keep in mind there is likely more than one server cluster in each region. It would be silly to assume that both the WWE and MLB Advanced Media don't have teams doing load testing, which involves using automated scripts to barrage the server with requests, then analyzing the results. The thought of having a "dress rehearsal" is nice, but in no way prepare them for Wrestlemania like traditional load testing will. In short, errors will possibly happen due to the size and scope of 'Mania, but a complete collapse will not occur."

If the Wrestlemania stream fails to an epic degree than it's going to do a great deal of damage to it's future. And there's gonna be a great difference between how many people are watching Main Event and NXT live.
If they pull this off though flawlessly then I expect the Network will be a great success.

I really see them doing an "all hands on deck" thing for this.... as Wrestlemania is the first live WWE PPV to stream, and it's been a HUGE part of the Network's marketing.
I do think if it effs up royally, they'll put it on demand 24 hours later, even if they just leave it up a week to appease distributors. If it goes down, they will have some royal ass to kiss to make things right.

In many ways, the Mania stream is just like the Daniel Bryan booking - I'm convinced it'll be a f***up, but I am hoping to be proved wrong.

I actually usually go to bed watching the live stream and it never goes out on my Roku box. The last time I had trouble was with the main event of Arrival.

I'll start by watching the pre-show on the Network. Fortunately, the pre-show this year is two hours long, so it'll give me some time to properly gauge how the stream is.
That being said, I'm fully preparing myself to order the pay-per-view, because I think it's going to crash so hard.

I'm hoping it doesn't fail. I'm woth Dish Network and I have people coming over to watch it. If it fails we'll make due, but it would suck royally.

At the very least, I expect Daniel Bryan vs. HHH to be the match where the problems really start. Not exactly the Network's fault that thousands of people decided to simultaneously smash up their computer with a baseball bat after seeing Bryan take the fall to the Trips though is it?

I'll be doing this as well, mainly because I hope many others will do the same and it will serve as one last stress test before Mania.
