I like Roman Reigns but they only cheered for him because it was obvious Batista was going to win. I say that based on the brief scuffle Batista had with Ryback and there was a "feed me more" chant beginning to come up. Watching that PPV some years down the line, whether it's for the first time or someone forgot the goings on at the time, must be a hell of a confusing experience. Dave honestly got a semi-decent response for his entrance, not many were booing him yet. The entire match and audience changed after Rey's music hit.

Things have improved for Orton by adding Bryan to the match, if only because Bryan's the one guy who Orton can still get a great reaction against. Plus, as mentioned before, Orton's not going to need to work nearly as hard to get something decent out of the match with Bryan in there to help carry it.
With Batista... who knows. He does come off like he would much rather be a heel than a face, and to give him credit he does seem to be trying to make it work and does seem to be in a little better shape than he was when he first came back, but there's probably some resentment there given how the whole situation went down for him.

Of course Orton is unhappy. Haven't you heard about his family issues? Hey, it was HIS decision to be a bigamist. Nobody tied him down and made him share his bed with those extra wives.

I really dislike both Orton and Batista. Honestly, as long as neither of them leave with the belt I don't care if its Bryan or Triple H getting their hand raised.
Obviously I prefer Bryan but Triple H is still an improvement over Batista and Orton.

I don't think Orton's happy unless he's not wearing pants.

Well, maybe if Batista would propose to Orton it would finally fulfill his truest of wishes.
Wait... that's not what this was about was it?

Randy might be a little miffed, but he'll be back around. He doesn't seem to stray to far from the main event anymore. Dave... I hope Dave's unhappy. I hate Dave.

I don't think Orton is unhappy. I think he knew coming in that he was going to be a transitional champ. That's his job. Now, Batista, I think he's pretty butthurt. The returned and the fans pretty much took a shit on him. WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HIS FANS!

If there is a competitive bone in their bodies they would always be wanting more and not being satisfied with "just getting paid" as some people implied in this thread.
I bet Orton wishes his booking was a lot stronger the past several months and Batista must feel a little embarrassed that the crowd rejected him so hard.

Why would Batista be unhappy? We boo him, HE BOOS US RIGHT BACK.

I believe Orton said he prefers being a heel and if he's unhappy at all its because he has to share that role with Batista/HHH.
I'm sure Batista was let down by the crowd reaction since most main event guys that return get a positive reaction.

They're both very happy to be involved in one of the most interesting Wrestlemania's in years. Orton especially. This run over the last year has been some of his best stuff.

Why would Batista be unhappy? We boo him, HE BOOS US RIGHT BACK. And when we chant "One more time", he chants "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" And when we say his jeans are too skinny, he puts on even skinnier jeans.

I dont believe for a second that Orton vs Batista was THE plan going into Mania. They knew what they were doing and looking back it explains why Bryan wasnt in the Rumble. For one of your biggest guys not in a title feud to not be in the Rumble? Yeah thats not a coincidence. They took the hit on that one. Granted i dont think they were expecting Batista to be crapped on the way he has been, but this isnt some drastic altering of plans.

I think Orton would be OK with things considering he is on shaky ground with his wellness issues. They have shown a remarkable amount of faith in him all things considered.
With Batista he won't care as long as he gets paid. Plus now he gets to act like his natural Douchey self.

People saying Batista is probably content with this must have missed his complaining on twitter about how smarks should suck his balls. When he was still being treated as a face. Dude's way too thin-skinned to be alright with what he got.

The only thing that was probably altered was having Bryan replace Punk in his match with Hunter which changed the narrative a bit, I think they would have been playing up Ortons title win from Bryan at Summerslam and the shennanigans the following months a bit more if the Triple H stuff wasnt going on
