A price hike? Yeah that'll bring in more people. /sarcasm

I would think there would be more concern if it was available to everyone around the world. I'm not sure if it is now or not.

If they keep up the quality of the product as it's been the last two days, I think it'd be worth the extra couple of dollars. I would think there would be more concern if it was available to everyone around the world. I'm not sure if it is now or not. Just the United States at the moment.

I don't see how a price increase is going to help their subscription numbers, but whatever. Just so long as I can get out of the agreement if they suddenly up the prices, I'm fine with it.

Yep, though international availability should be coming towards the end of this year/early next year for Australia, the Nordic States, the United Kingdom, and others.

They need to wait for the PPV numbers before they get concerned.
I'd hazard a guess that mania still did well on PPV and will make this a very profitable quarter.

Honestly, they could pass off the price increase by adding RAW to the lineup. So, if negotiations with USA fall through, that could be a possibility, though not a likely one.

I'm still in the UK so I don't know how much it'll cost us, but for the deal you get that price increase seems negligible. I wouldn't worry.

They increase the price number and the difference might be so negible that it doesn't affect numbers, then they realise they can get away with a small increase, and gradually keep pushing it up a dollar or two every now and then, before you know it it's $20 (over £12) It's still good value for what you get, but I couldn't justify paying that much for it. especially when netflix is only £5.99 a month and has more variety than only wrestling.

For what WWE is offering, I would absolutely pay at least £12 a month for it, I do understand the slippery slope argument but this can't be THAT difficult to walk away from, subscription wise, or is it rolling six months? And Netflix has dogshit variety. It's always improving, but the selection really isn't that great. I'd honestly much rather have WWE, at least I know it's a lot of what I like.

I would give it until Extreme Rules to get a solid idea, as others have said in other threads, a lot of people held out because they had no faith that the Network could handle Mania. I'm still in the UK so I don't know how much it'll cost us, but for the deal you get that price increase seems negligible. I wouldn't worry. Currently the conversion is like £6.30, when it makes it over here I imagine tax and VAT will be slapped on there as well, probably equalling more to £10 per month which still isn't bad.

If they can get every Nitro and RAW on there like they said, then I'll go up to the $12.99 mark, b/c I can coincide Nitro with the PPVs and make sense of everything.
But if they're going to clutch to stuff like the Monday Night Wars and roll it out when there's a $3 increase, then I'm out. I truly only got this for Mania, everything else is gravy.

They'd have to triple the price of the network for that to be viable. You're underestimating how much money they make from tv even if they don't get the increase they're hoping for in their current negotiations.

I just viewed it as a situational sell tactic to entice people to make a buying decision before the end of the year, so they can hit their expected target of a million+ by 2015.

Over 600,000 subscribers in a month and a half of bring a thing still isn't bad though. Considering the problems that plagued WWE Network at the start (and for some, continued problems), it's still pretty impressive.

Did anyone honestly think after the six-month commitment expires that there wouldn't be a price increase?
I've always said that anything short of increasing to $14.99 a month will keep me around. Anything above that, I'm out.

I'll be honest, with as much as I've enjoyed the Network... I would still pay if there's a price increase.
Especially since there will be a pretty significant drop in DVD event and PPV sales. They have to make their money somewhere.
Really, the only way I'd considering cancelling (aside from personal finance reasons)... is if they started pulling massive amounts of content off. I don't expect everything to be on there forever, but I also don't expect them to, eventually, have their entire tape library on demand.
I dunno, time will tell what happens.... right now, I'm enjoying the Network and I'm just gonna live in the moment with that, rather than worry about what may happen in the future.

I'm expecting a few dollar increase as every year goes by. By 2016, I expect it to be $13.99 or $14.99 a month. But if eventually it goes up to around $25-$30 a month it would feel almost pointless to keep it. Since one of the ideas of the network was for the fans to get all the PPVs for a really cheap price, and that wouldn't be considered cheap anymore.
