At $9.99 it's a great deal I'm glad I'm locked in for 6 months!

Yeah but it's a slippery slope. They increase the price number and the difference might be so negible that it doesn't affect numbers, then they realise they can get away with a small increase, and gradually keep pushing it up a dollar or two every now and then, before you know it it's $20 (over £12) It's still good value for what you get, but I couldn't justify paying that much for it. especially when netflix is only £5.99 a month and has more variety than only wrestling. For what WWE is offering, I would absolutely pay at least £12 a month for it, I do understand the slippery slope argument but this can't be THAT difficult to walk away from, subscription wise, or is it rolling six months? And Netflix has dogshit variety. It's always improving, but the selection really isn't that great. I'd honestly much rather have WWE, at least I know it's a lot of what I like. I'd put anything approaching £15 as my absolute limit for the network. I'm already shelling out for a fair number of £££ for Sports subscription packages but at least Sky Sports & BT Sports/ESPN cover a varied range of actual live sports. Whereas the main function for the WWE Network is its extensive back catalogue. I'd hope the subscription cost reflects that when it eventually comes over here and it is nearer the £10 range rather than £15.

This is probably newz. They reported the same numbers in legitimate business sites. They said how great it was for them to be doing so well, and at this rate they are the fastest growing subscription service. I mean they are making 40 million dollars off this. I mean, if you gross that much, and still can't make a profit, you should file for bankruptcy.

Yeah I've heard that they've had more initial subscribers than Netflix and LoveFilm On Demand had at this point, and business journals seem to be praising the number. I'm guessing it's just news and stockholders panicking based on the news or vice versa.

No surprise at all, anyone with half of a brain can see this coming from a mile away. It's going to keep increasing until it reaches the monetary breaking point for subscribers.

A price hike? Yeah that'll bring in more people. /sarcasm Actually it depends. I don't know WWE's numbers, but it depends on how responsive customers are to a price increase. If WWE increases price and as you predict you lose more customers than revenue than yes a price increase was dumb. WWE's own logic may be that they're few substitutes for the network (a product that offers thousands of hours of wrestling content) so customers will be less likely to leave. In that case it's okay to raise prices as long as the increase in revenue is more than the loss in customers. I think it hurts WWE as well not opening in foreign markets and missing those customers.

If they keep it under $15, it'll still be a very reasonable bargain if you're a wrestling fan.

It's like those ridiculous money wind machines that schools put kids into as prizes. You don't want to drop what is in your hand reaching out for the extra dollar.
Then again, I'm cheap and I'd probably find a two dollar increase to be worthy of complete cancellation.
