Only just watched it now. Awesome documentary. Really tons of interesting clips and cameos and it got sadder near the end despite Warrior looking really happy.

That was a very good documentary. My only complaint about it is a rather trivial one, but I hate listening to Stephanie McMahon on these things. HHH and Vince looked very sincere and genuine in their words, while Stephanie looked like she was reading off cue cards. Other than that, very well done. Nice to see Warrior reconcile with Vince and Hulk on camera, plus get to tell his side of the story regarding the Self Destruction DVD.
It sucks that it took his death for people to appreciate his career, but I'm glad he is being respected for his accomplishments now. He had an amazing career and as usual left on top. When he left in 1991, he was in the main event. When he left in 1992, he was in the main event (Survivor Series tag match). When he left in 1996, he was scheduled to main event (six man tag at IYH). Now he leaves again (under sadder circumstances obviously) after headlining the HOF. Very fitting.

Why did Warrior leave in 96 after only being back for 3 months? Do they talk about that in the documentary?

Powerful doc. I didn't like his stuff that much, but I came to enjoy a lot of his motivational videos after he was out of the ring. RIP

Warrior told dad he was like a father to him, for instance.

The only thing I didn't like about the documentary is that they rewrote history a bunch of times. We don't get the real reasons why Warrior left in both 1991 and 1996.

Between her 'crying with no tears' tributes during a wrestler's death, or comparing 9/11 to her father's trial, she simply doesn't have the sincerity to pull these things off. It was really distracting when watching the documentary.

Awesome doc. Sadder with the sense of inevitability that permeates the whole thing, but awesome nonetheless. Glad he got that kind of send-off

Why did Warrior leave in 96 after only being back for 3 months? Do they talk about that in the documentary? not really but according to Warrior's old shoot he and certain things trademarked and part of his agreement with WWF at the time was that they couldn't use because they were part of outside projects for him. Then Warrior found out WWF went ahead and used those trademarks anyway. Since Warrior felt they breached the contract, his contract was void so he didn't have to show up.

Weird to see the whole "everyone hated him while he was alive but now that he's dead he was secretly everyone's favourite wrestler" thing again. What's even weirder than that? Seeing posters here who choose to ignore multiple staff messages in this thread about knocking off the fighting and shit talking against each other. Seeing someone get a week off because if I don't warn, suspend, or ban at this point no one feels they need to pay attention here. No offense, but I don't think anyone would think to look through a 46-page thread, just on the chance that some warnings were tossed out. I never saw anything, until this message. Sorry.

Man...that Little Engine That Could book was a pretty powerful message to send to Vince. As silly as it might be...I can't help but think the book is sort of like Vince's life story. Vince seemed to understand and appreciate that message. Maybe I'm reading too deep into it, but that's what I got out of it.

Apparently Nancy Grace now wants to make amends with wrestling fans over her comments.
Too little too late.

I've just watched the Hall Of Fame ceremony for the first time. I couldn't bring myself to watch if earlier, but as sad as the ending ultimately was at least he had that moment of happiness and reflection.
I feel so sorry for his family, tragic for them. Seems so cruel for him to die when he was looking that happy.
Farewell Warrior.

I watched the Warrior documentary last night. I thought that it was fantastic, even if it did gloss over a couple of things, and it was just so nice to see Warrior so happy and make amends with so many people. You could see that he was making peace with everything and resolving a lot of issues and grudges (deserved or not) that he still had.
I agree with the sentiments about Stephanie though. Triple H and Vince seemed very genuine and like they were speaking from the heart, whereas Stephanie came across as one of those talking heads that VH1 used to employ on their documentaries just to say the right thing at the right time. It was really jarring next to Triple H and Vince's genuine comments and even the thoughts of people like Cesaro, who were speaking as fans.

Pro wrestling fan or not, no one should want anything from Nancy Grace. Given how she behaved in the past over certain issues involving Michael Jackson, Chris Benoit, the Duke Lacrosse Team Scandal, and now this? It's the wonder she still even has a show.
