Mean Gene - Wife gave him a kidney so he could live. Pat Patterson - He came out and admitted he was gay. Fink - Was bullied as a kid. Piper - Has four kids, three grandchildren. Hacksaw - Daughter (I think it was his daughter?) died in an accident.Jimmy Hart - His daughter was killed. Tony Atlas - Nearly froze to death while homeless in 1989. His wife found him and saved him. Hillbilly Jim - Grew up with a single mom and one brother. Bought his mom a new car with his money. I actually think that it was a first wife he never mentioned before that story. Remember he said it was Vicky that got killed in the car accident. Man this episode is right in the feels and good on Pat. wrestlingclassics.com/cgi-bin/.ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=print_topic;f=18;t=018373

I don't have the Network, but I am curious about what each guy had to talk about when they opened up. Mean Gene - Wife gave him a kidney so he could live. Pat Patterson - He came out and admitted he was gay. Fink - Was bullied as a kid. Piper - Has four kids, three grandchildren. Hacksaw - Daughter (I think it was his daughter?) died in an accident. Jimmy Hart - His daughter was killed. Tony Atlas - Nearly froze to death while homeless in 1989. His wife found him and saved him. Hillbilly Jim - Grew up with a single mom and one brother. Bought his mom a new car with his money. Its not exactly his wife that found him and saved him. A woman found him, got him help and then he fell in love and married her.

Man that was honestly the most beautiful piece of television I've ever seen. Raw human emotion at its finest and I feel so thankful to have been able to see those men share their hearts with each other. I had tears of sadness turn into tears of joy watching this episode.
Side note: Mean Gene is the man and I would love for him to make me an Okerland someday. He's truly the one celebrity I would pay money to hang out with. Pat Patterson is a hero of mine too.

Wow that just took on a whole different dimension. My opinion of most of them has risen even higher.
Jimmy Hart , Tony Atlas and Hillbilly Jim - class acts

I can't believe Pat finally admitted there was no Intercontinental Title Tournament in Brazil!!
Good on him, I had assumed for years Pat was out and didn't give a damn who knew, maybe it was just the boys? I dunno...Good on him anyway.

I can't believe Pat finally admitted there was no Intercontinental Title Tournament in Brazil!! Good on him, I had assumed for years Pat was out and didn't give a damn who knew, maybe it was just the boys? I dunno...Good on him anyway. I joke about it, but to be fair, I know people who have been openly gay for a long time but have never actually *said* it. Example: my friend's dad is gay. He's even married to another man. But he never came out and said "yes, I am gay" to people until a few years back. It has to be a hard thing to do, and I'm guessing it's much easier to coast along with everyone knowing but not really making an issue of it. I have to echo other sentiments in this thread. I thought this show was stupid as all hell when it started, but then I got excited on Thursdays to watch my block of Legends' House and NXT. I NEVER watch live television either, so that's rare for me.

Yeah the difference between it being taken as fact by your friends/peers and actually saying it yourself and letting it out in the open is huge. I felt the show did a good job of how Pat did finally come out and I also felt they did a good job demonstrating the understanding of the group who were made clear to already "know" and be entirely comfortable/respectful with the whole thing.

I did not even know Pat had a partner for over 40 years and that he died of a heart attack. Man, I could re-watch that segment ten times and I will never have a dry eye each and every time

I don't care what anyone says, I loved this show. Every episode. I was more devoted to seeing this show every Thursday than I am to watching Raw on Mondays. I know a lot of it was scripted but the last episode I don't think was. You can't script emotions like that. Plus, I understand where Pat is coming from. Just because everyone 'knows' he is gay doesn't mean he's actually come out of the closest and admitted it to himself and everyone else. It's a ton of pressure and to live with it for 50+ years in amazing. Any clue who his partner was?

The reunion show is next week, correct? Yep. Moderated by Jerry Lawler. I hope they bring Ashley back. Hot but seems like a really nice lady. Though, it has been two years, and I bet she totally forgot that she did this show by now. "What? Legends House? I taped that show 3 years ago. You just now showed it?"

I really wish someone like Fink had lost all his weight in the time since the show.
They'd either have to admit to the time delayed show, pretend Fink hadn't lost any weight at all or pretend Fink couldn't make it but sent his cousin Howard Thin-kle in his place.

So the last episode was pretty good? Should I go straight to it or should I have to watch the others for it to make sense? I stopped after the 2nd episode.

Anyone else roll their eyes at Fink's attempt to fit in with everyone else while he forced out some crocodile tears with his lame story?

This show...this show...amazing. Anyone else roll their eyes at Fink's attempt to fit in with everyone else while he forced out some crocodile tears with his lame story? I don't think they were crocodile tears, considering his life has been wrestling from a young age (before he was involved with the business) and he's had social issues from his very birth, and focused on his goals and dreams as a means to fill that void in his life that others fill with friendships/relationships (not to say he's never had those, but listen to any wrestler talk about Fink off the show) whilst he still gets treated like garbage in the backstage area every single damned day (Bret Hart & Mick Foley have said repeatedly that it's disgusting how Vince and many others bully him around). The fact he's a success in his own mind now may seem 1000 times less awful against the shock and genuine depression of the other instances, but take it as what he does not have, if you had lacked the love and respect of your peers and friends all your life and had to focus on one goal, wouldn't that be both heartbreaking and reassuring?
