Actually, that kind of reminds me of something that happened in the book series Xanth. Basically the laws said that a queen could never rule, so to circumvent that during a crisis, it was just decided to have female kings.

It actually makes me wonder how in the blue hell the Top 10 managed to get their scores, considering what a mere single 6/10 did to the average that up to that point was almost nothing but 9's and 10's(there may have been a few 8's as well, I don't remember).
