Were you a fan of his or did you think he sucked? I was a fan of his when he had the insane gimmick where he would read poems & beat up fans. I wish he stayed that way instead of turning into a face comedy act with eating big chocolate bars & being part of the new LOD. If he stayed as his psychopathic heel character, I think he could have stuck around for awhile instead of being released in early 2006. They should of made him & Snitsky a tag team in 2005 to face off against the Brothers of Destruction. Of course his most remembered moment forever will be his alleged rape of Michael Cole.

He was okay, even as a face. He didn't get amazing crowd reactions but I really don't see any reason to fire someone who fans are at least friendly towards. At the very worst, keep them in the developmental as a solid hand.

I thought he was a f***ing badass when I was 11. Yeah, he had a menacing look to him. Looked like a legit bad ass who you wouldn't want to f*** with. Just a shame they had to release him. At the time, I was seriously hoping for a Brothers of Destruction vs. Heidenreich/Snitsky match at WrestleMania 21. We got a good Taker/Orton match instead, but it seems after Heidenreich's feud with Taker ended they didn't want to do much else with him as a heel. But I think he should have stayed as a heel since I thought he was great in that role.

They missed the boat on a SNITSKENREICH tag team. Snitsky: "I like your poetry." Heidenreich: "I like what you do to babies." Snitsky:“I hear you don’t like caskets.” Heidenreich: “Like? I don’t like caskets! I hate them!” Snitsky: “I know... I know you hate caskets. I don’t like them either. But I do like you John.” Heidenreich: “I like you too Gene. But I still hate caskets.” Snitsky: “I know. I know Jon. But I have an idea.” Heidenreich: “You do?” Snitsky: “Yeah.” Heidenreich: “Okay.”

The most notable thing I remember about Heidenreich is him having one of the worst matches I've ever seen against a really fat, fake Doink in what looked like a high-school gymnasium.

I think it would've been awesome if he was still around and he was the one paired up with Lana instead of Alexander Rusev. Rocky references abound.
Also, his theme song kicks all kinds of ass.

I remember his theme.
HEIDEN- HEIDENREICH. HEIDENREICH.

He sure as hell wasn't any worse than a jillion other dudes they kept around. He at least was kind of over and had some fun history to bring up. I think he left to help his family after some kind of natural disaster. Certainly no reason to lock the door behind him

I liked his character because it's one of the goofy things about wrestling. It also made him different, instead of just "big guy who beats up people". Too bad we never got unfrozen Nazi.

I thought he was pretty f***ing terrible from the word 'go'. How he got a program with the Undertaker boggles the mind.

The dude was absolutely horrible and I'm surprised to see all the positive responses so far. Just a chore to sit through on every level.
Had a badass shoulderbreaker though.

Awful. Absolutely awful. As a monster heel he wasn't very intimidating and as a "be my friend" face he was f***ing embarrassing.

The only notable thing I remember is going to a house show here in about 2005 and watching him and Undertaker have a god awful match. Even as a 12 year old I thought it was horrendous.

I always had a soft spot for him because he's a hometown boy. He definitely could have done more given the opportunity. Apparently he's pretty bad off these days. He recently got sent home from a show in Mississippi for being in no condition to preform. On top of that he also got arrested for shoplifting from a Wal Mart. Pretty sad to see honestly.
