As much as I loved First Class and Days of Future Past, I'm really starting to wish they had just done a real reboot. I want the first movie in the franchise to be a real modern retelling of the formation of the X-Men with Xavier and the original five X-Men dealing with Magneto for the first time. And those being the only mutants in the movie. It'll never happen but that's the X-Men movie I've been dreaming of. Part 2 would be the original team vs Sentinels and end with the original team collapsing and the third film would be Xavier forming the all-new all-different X-Men. And the fourth and fifth movies being the Phoenix/Dark Phoenix saga complete with all the Shiar space drama. Seriously, why can't we just get those movies? The X-Men are my favorite comics of all time and I would kill for faithful adaptations of all the classic storylines. I have no doubt that if done correctly they would seriously be the best comic book films ever made.

I know MovieBob can be obnoxious and even overbearing for most, but I have to say that the beginning of his Days of Future Past review really put into perspective how weird it is that X-Men hasn't had a reboot yet. I mean, as of DoFP, Hugh Jackman has been playing Wolverine longer than Sir Roger Moore played James Bond. And by the time Wolverine 3 comes out, folks born the year the first X-Men went into production will be legally adults in most countries.

It's an X-Men movie and they actually gave a nod to the characters comic attire???I dig it.

I hope at some point he gets his hand/tail on a sword. I also dug Swashbuckler Kurt.

Obviously Jubilee, Nightcrawler, and I am assuming it's Scott and Jean on the balcony?

Oh yeah. The guy's got Scott's trademark ruby quartz shades, and the girl is a dead ringer for how a young Jean Grey would look like.

Nice touch with the undershirt Jubilee is wearing (which I think says "Bring On The Light").

Hopefully this movie will give some of Jennifer Lawrence's screentime to other actors. DOFP overloaded on her.
