I know that alot of wrestling themes are "based" on real music, especially in the bigger organizations. Wanted to know if there was a list anywhere or if anyone knows any.

I'd link Dale Oliver's Wiki entry for the great majority of the TNA derivative themes, but the list there got removed. I grabbed a copy from the page history. It's huge.

Razor Ramon's theme is based on "Those Shoes" by the Eagles. DDP's theme Self-High Five is based on "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana Raven's theme is based on another Nirvana song "Come As You Are"
I even made a thread about Heath Slater's theme being very similar to Molly Hatchet's "Flirtin' With Disaster" in the WWE section a while ago.

There's also a few that ARE real songs/compositions: Daniel Bryan's is a rock version of "Flight of the Valkyries" by Richard Wagner Macho Man's is a classical tune called "Pomp and Circumstance" by Sir Edward Elgar Ric Flair's is another classical tune called "Also Sprach Zarathustra" by Richard Strauss Austin's theme then is also based on "Those Shoes" isn't it. Pretty much.

Chris Jericho's WCW theme was a version of Pearl Jam's "Even Flow", which, in retrospect, would have made a lot more sense for Raven.

And then there's the times when wrestling themes rip each other off:
Rockers = Ultimate Warrior (same melody) Big John Studd '89 = Hacksaw Jim Duggan (he used a faster version) Rick "The Model" Martel = Val Venis Dean Malenko WWF = Cesaro 2nd (which I wish he went back to after becoming a Paul Heyman guy)

Chris Jericho's WCW theme was a version of Pearl Jam's "Even Flow", which, in retrospect, would have made a lot more sense for Raven. There was also his theme before that when he was Lionheart Jericho based on All The Days by Mammoth.

Razor Ramon's theme is based on "Those Shoes" by the Eagles. I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees this. Also, I've always thought comparing Austin's and Razor's theme was a real stretch.
