With this hinted at tonight, I think it might be the right time for this to happen. There's not a lot of depth on the heel side of the roster at the moment so he might get a chance at the main event from there, and we might finally get that Cody v Goldust match that has been rumoured forever, which could be very good.

Whatever happens, Cody will find a way to make it entertaining.

Also, we might only have to hear the mashup theme a few more times before it's gone forever!

At first I didn't like it because he just turned face, but then I realize he's a much better heel.

I'd rather see what Dustin could do as a heel, especially since it might be the last chance to see him in such a role.

So I guess we’ve given up on the idea of a Cena heel turn?

So I guess we’ve given up on the idea of a Cena heel turn? It's not so much giving up on it, as it is just being realistic.

I hope he gets an actual gimmick again. The face turn looked like it might lead to that, but he just ended up being the boring straight man to Goldust.
...
That wasn't intended as a double entendre, I swear.

Definitely pleased to see it. Really, I could see him winning Money in the Bank at this point - if Barrett gets the Intercontinental title and with the build Cesaro has going on, he's really the only heel on the rise available and with only one briefcase it makes more sense for a heel to get it.

I seriously don't understand why people get excited for midcarder heel turns.
Like...you've SEEN how the E books its midcard heels...its almost inevitable that they end up as afterthoughts

Plus I assume that if the feud did go ahead Cody would win which might give him some steam to challenge Bryan.

They've slowly but surely squandered Cody as a face, expect them to do the same if and when he turns heel.

I hope Goldie turns instead of Cody. Cody was getting pretty over during the whole thing with Randy last year. There's money in pushing Cody to the Upper Midcard as a face.

Maybe Cody can fill that role for a few months. I hope Goldie turns instead of Cody. Cody was getting pretty over during the whole thing with Randy last year. There's money in pushing Cody to the Upper Midcard as a face. If they want to push Cody as a face, he should be more like his JBL & Cole Show self. Otherwise, I think he should just be a heel.

Cody on the JBL & Cole show is hilarious. He plays a delusional face rather well. They sadly just never show it on television.
But what comes after a feud with Goldust? MITB? Joining Evolution? Winning the United States Championship from Dean Ambrose?
