I assume WWE would own this, but it is part 1 of an episode of "Heavyweight Wrestling from Washington DC". youtu.be/M5j34QKmY4w

What about that promotion that Terry Funk and Foley had all those death-matches in ? I'd find it hard to believe that footage would cost that much.

Its been dead a long time, but the owner is also dead. I dunno if they'd have much use/interest outside of those matches and I have no idea what the ownership situation with it is. Its such a small blip though. Outside of those famous matches, I dont see why they'd get it.

A version of that company (IWA Japan) is still around, but I have no idea if they own that footage. Also, they seemed to have ditched deathmatches for whatever the hell this is:

That's just wrong and an embarrassment to the great sport of Puroresu.

Who owns the AJW stuff? I know the WWE having matches with Aja Kong, Manami Toyota, Akira Hokuto etc on the Network would make their Divas division look silly, but it would be incredible having all those classics in one easy-to-find place.

Wasn't that an April fools joke? Not that I have heard. I'd imagine it's like Mid-South thing in a way, it is just going to take a lot of time and patience. Absolutely, but the "news" reported was that Lawler had sorted all or most of it out. Which we've heard absolutely nothing else about since April Fools-ish time. You would think Lawler would confirm reports on his twitter or something, just to appease his fans (unless he's not because it would drive up the price?) Either way it's potentially MAJOR news as far as I'm concerned and I just wish we had real confirmation on it.
