59. Super Smash Brothers Player Uno made his debut in the Canadian wrestling promotion International Wrestling Syndicate (IWS). Uno quickly found a tag team partner in Stupefied as the Super Smash Brothers. The team found success as they soon won the IWS Tag Team Championship. Uno also found success as a singles competitor as he also won the IWS Canadian Championship. He remained with the promotion until it folded on October 9, 2010. In 2007 the team started competing in Chikara. Uno and Stupefied, now competing as Player Dos and naming their team the Super Smash Brothers, won the Chikara Campeonatos de Parejas from Incoherence (Delirious and Hallowicked) at Laying in the Gutters, Looking at the Stars on September 21, 2008. The team only held the titles for a month before losing it to The Osirian Portal, the team of Amasis and Ophidian, at Global Gauntlet: Night 2. In 2009 Uno went on a long losing streak, which included a loss against Player Dos for the Young Lions Cup, but the streak came to an end at the season finale, when he debuted his new finishing maneuver The Joystick and forced Tim Donst to tap out with it. On October 24, 2010 Uno wrestled to date his last Chikara match with Dos with Sara Del Rey and Daizee Haze, which Uno and Dos lost. Uno, along with Player Dos, made his ROH debut on May 8, 2009 in Boston, MA, in a losing effort against Rhett Titus and Kenny King. On July 25 in Toronto, Ontario, at Death Before Dishonor VII Night 2 they scored an upset victory over former ROH World Tag Team Champions Kevin Steen and El Generico. On the November 9 episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling on HDNet, Uno and Dos debuted on the show in a return match, where they were defeated by Steen and Generico. On September 10, 2011, Uno debuted in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) as a member of the Super Smash Bros. with Stupefied. In their debut match, they faced the RockNES Monsters (Johnny Goodtime and Johnny Yuma), a tag team with a similar video game-themed gimmick, in a losing effort. The Super Smash Bros. returned on December 10, 2011, this time losing a match against the American Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards). The Super Smash Bros. picked up their first win in PWG on March 17, 2012, by defeating former two-time PWG World Tag Team Champions, The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson), and the RockNES Monsters in a three-way match. On April 21, the Super Smash Bros. defeated The Young Bucks in the opening round, Future Shock (Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly) in the semifinal, and 2 Husky Black Guys (El Generico and Willie Mack) in the final round to win the 2012 Dynamite Duumvirate Tag Team Title Tournament and become number one contenders to the PWG World Tag Team Championship. On May 25, the Super Smash Bros. defeated The Young Bucks in a No Disqualification match to win the vacant PWG World Tag Team Championship. The Super Smash Bros. made their first successful title defense on July 21 at Threemendous III, PWG's nine-year anniversary event, where they defeated Future Shock and The Young Bucks in a three-way ladder match. On December 1 at Mystery Vortex, the Super Smash Bros. made their second successful World Tag Team Championship defense against the RockNES Monsters. Later that same event, they were defeated by the Dojo Bros (Eddie Edwards and Roderick Strong) in a non-title match. On January 12, 2013, the Super Smash Bros. lost the World Tag Team Championship to the Unbreakable F'n Machines (Brian Cage and Michael Elgin) in the opening round of the 2013 Dynamite Duumvirate Tag Team Title Tournament. During the match, Uno suffered a dislocated shoulder after performing a suicide dive to the outside of the ring. On January 28, 2012, the Super Smash Bros. made their debut for Dragon Gate USA, defeating The Scene (Caleb Konley and Scott Reed) in a tag team match.[22] The following day, they picked up another win over the D.U.F. (Arik Cannon and Pinkie Sanchez), after which Uno asked for a shot at the Open the United Gate Championship. The Super Smash Bros.' win streak ended on November 2, when they were defeated by Genki Horiguchi and Ryo Saito in an Open the United Gate Championship number one contenders' match.

58. The Foreign Legion The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff, under the management of "Classy" Freddie Blassie as the newly dubbed "Foreign Legion" won the WWF World tag team title from the U.S. Express at the first WrestleMania. Part of the pair's regular entrance consisted of waving the flags of Iran and the Soviet Union, then demanding that the crowd be quiet and "show respect" while Volkoff sang a throaty version of the Soviet national anthem, a demand that usually only attracted boos from the crowd. Sheik then usually grabbed the mic and said "Iran number 1, Russia number 1, USA (followed by a simulated spitting act)." It was all designed to get major heat from the crowd. During his stint in the WWF, he appeared in the music video for Cyndi Lauper's "Goonies 'R' Good Enough" as a part of the Rock 'n' Wrestling Connection.

57. The Dancing Fools Disco Inferno and Alex Wright were two wrestlers in World Championship Wrestling that liked to dance before and after (and sometimes during) their matches. They were feuding with each other in 1998 and decided to form a tag team called "The Dancing Fools". Tokyo Magnum, a Japanese wrestler new to WCW, wanted to join the Fools and would appear dancing behind them (without their knowledge) during their entrance. At Road Wild, the angle came to a head when his interference on behalf of The Dancing Fools backfired in a tag team match between The Fools and The Public Enemy. Two nights later on the August 10 edition of Nitro, Magnum was told by Wright and Disco that if he wanted to be a member, he needed to impress them in a match against Eddy Guererro. He lost the match in under two minutes and he later left WCW. Both Wright and Disco then mainly feuded with The Public Enemy, but usually found themselves on the receiving end of various maneuvers involving tables. They split up in the fall to wrestle individually in the cruiserweight division. Because the team consisted of a German (Wright), a Japanese man (Tokyo Magnum), and an Italian-American (Disco Inferno), popular WCW fan site DDTDigest.com referred to the team as the "Dancin' Axis powers". Disco and Wright reunited in 2000 as the "Boogie Knights". However, the reunion was short-lived due to Disco suffering a shoulder injury during a feud with the Natural Born Thrillers. To substitute for Disco, Wright picked General Rection as his temporary tag team partner and they both would go on to win the World Tag Team Championship (although Rection's reign with the title was credited to Disco) during a tour in Wright's home country of Germany. Wright then chose Elix Skipper as another substitute for Disco in a title defense on the November 20 edition of Nitro, but Wright and Skipper lost the titles to the Perfect Event. The team then separated as both wanted to attempt singles careers once again.

56. Ricky Steamboat & Jay Youngblood Jay Youngblood (a Native American gimmick) wrestled in the National Wrestling Alliance's Jim Crockett Promotions (JCP) in a regular tag team with Ricky Steamboat. In 1982, Steamboat and Youngblood were feuding with Boris Zhukov, Don Kernodle, and their manager Sgt. Slaughter. Zhukov, then known as Private Jim Nelson, later betrayed his team in favor of Youngblood and Steamboat. The rivalry culminated in a match that attended by 15,000 people, where Slaughter and Kernodle faced Steamboat and Youngblood. In June 1982 in Maple Leaf Wrestling, Youngblood defeated The Destroyer to win the NWA Canadian Television Championship. He was later defeated by Private Jim Nelson for the title. Steamboat and Youngblood also feuded with the Brisco brothers.

55. The Briscoe Brothers The Pugh brothers, Jamin (Jay) (born January 25, 1984) and Mark (born January 17, 1985) grew up in Laurel, Delaware. As high schoolers, both received honorable mention All-State honors their junior and senior years for football, Jay as a fullback and a linebacker and Mark as a tight end and a linebacker. At one point, both were signed to play for Wesley College (Delaware), a fact even used in wrestling storyline at one point, at ROH Beating the Odds, to explain an absence from which they were returning. The brothers first became interested in wrestling in their youth by watching the World Wrestling Federation on one of the two channels their television could receive. Originally, they practiced wrestling moves with one another on a trampoline before the family built a wrestling ring in their backyard. From the beginning, the two of them worked on honing their craft, taping their moves and trying to improve them. Despite the fact that their dad was a coach for their high school's wrestling team, they did not participate in amateur wrestling in their high school years. Their first foray into professional wrestling came with the East Coast Wrestling Association (ECWA), while they were still in high school. While their mother, Jana, was in line to purchase tickets to attend a wrestling event, a promoter for the ECWA approached her and asked if her sons had a tape of themselves wrestling. This led to the brothers debuting for ECWA on May 20, 2000 under the ring names "Jay and Mark Briscoe" Jay and Mark Briscoe made their debuts for Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) at Delaware Invasion on January 20, 2001, being brought in to job as part of a three-on-one handicap match against Trent Acid. At the inaugural Best of the Best event, a show somewhat atypical of CZW in that it is a tournament spotlighting athletic junior heavyweight wrestling as opposed to violent hardcore matches, the two advanced past the first round in a three-way match with Nick Mondo where the stipulation was whoever took the fall would be eliminated. They were then matched against each other in the second round, with Jay winning and advancing further. This match was seen by fans as the best of the tournament, and seen in retrospect as having been responsible in large part for helping launch the brothers' careers, as they were new to the independent circuit and very young at the time. After losing in title opportunities at Breakaway Brawl and A New Beginning, the brothers won the CZW Tag Team Championship on July 14, 2001, as they defeated the original H8 Club at H8 Club: Dead?[33][34] They lost it, however, in their first defense, to Johnny Kashmere and Justice Pain on July 28, 2001 at What About Lobo? Mark wasn't used for several months after that, but Jay continued on as a singles wrestler in that time, even facing Justice Pain for the CZW Heavyweight Championship at September Slam on September 8, which he did not win. At the end of 2001 and into 2002, CZW's territory (that is, the area at which they held the majority of their events) was shifting from Sewell, New Jersey to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in order to hold events regularly at the old ECW arena, beginning with December 15's Cage of Death 3. At this event, they faced Nick Gage and Nate Hatred, but wore masks and were identified as The Midnight Outlaws.[39] This was likely to get around the fact that Jay was only 17 and Mark only 16 at the time; this meant, as they were under 18 years of age, that they could not legally work in a sport wrestling exhibition in the state of Pennsylvania. As CZW regularly began holding shows in the Philadelphia area, the Midnight Outlaws made appearances at the next four CZW events. At A Higher Level of Pain on April 13, 2002, Jay appeared across the ring from the Midnight Outlaws, tagging with Ruckus against Mark and someone else. By this time, he had turned 18. Jay and Ruckus were won the match, and this was the last time either Jay or Mark appeared for CZW until April 12, 2003, where Jay and Mark both returned for Best of the Best 3. Jay was a surprise entrant after being taunted by A.J. Styles, and Mark filling in for the injured Ruckus. Jay advanced to the semi finals, where he lost to B-Boy, and Mark lost his fill-in match to Sonjay Dutt. The two faced off with the Backseat Boyz for the CZW World Tag Team Championship at Truth or Consequences on June 14, but failed to win the belts. The Brothers appeared for Jersey All Pro Wrestling (JAPW), in the ECW arena, on March 24, 2001 at March Madness Night 2, losing to Insane Dragon and Dixie in the opener. It is unclear how, if at all, JAPW's ownership and management worked around Pennsylvania's child labor law, as both brothers were underage at the time of this and two subsequent appearances in the old ECW arena. They made three other appearances in JAPW in 2001, all against Insane Dragon & Dixie – one a victory, one that ended in a no contest due to outside interference, and the last an unsuccessful challenge for Dragon and Dixie's JAPW Tag Team Championship on June 15 at Here to Stay. They made subsequent appearances for JAPW in 2002, first losing to The S.A.T. on May 3 at May Madness. They then re-entered the JAPW Tag Team Championship picture, wrestling in a three-team match against Da Hit Squad and Wasted Youth, the team of Insane Dragon & Deranged, to fill the vacant championship at Unfinished Business on July 13, 2002. It was Jay and Insane Dragon, however, who emerged as champions, after scoring simultaneous pinfalls on the members of Da Hit Squad. The six men went on to meet in a rematch of sorts at the next event, Royal Consequences 2 on August 10. Jay and Dragon defended the title against Da Hit Squad and the team of Mark and Deranged in a tables, ladders, and chairs match, which Da Hit Squad won. Two shows later, on September 20 at Family Crisis 2, Da Hit Squad successfully retained the title over the Briscoes in a regular match. The Brothers did not appear for JAPW again until late 2005, again in a tables, ladders, and chairs match for the tag team title, this time against the teams of Teddy Hart and Homicide, the Backseat Boyz, and The S.A.T.. The match, which took place at JAPW's 8th Year Anniversary Show, was won Hart and Homicide. At the next show, Fall Out, the S.A.T. defeated them and thus became number one contenders to the tag team championship. More recent JAPW appearances came in early 2006, losing along with the Outcast Killers to the S.A.T. once again at Wild Card II in a tag team title match, and then at Brotherly Love to the team of Sabu and Sonjay Dutt, a match they also lost. In October 2008, the Briscoes competed at JAPW's 11th Anniversary Show against LAX (Homicide and Hernandez). During a brawl outside the ring, Mark suffered a large gash on the side of his head. The Briscoe Brothers have wrestled most extensively for Ring of Honor. Jay wrestled on ROH's first-ever show, The Era of Honor Begins, losing to Amazing Red. Mark seconded him to the ring but could not wrestle because of Pennsylvania's child labor law (most of ROH's earliest shows took place in Philadelphia). Jay wrestled each of ROH's next four shows, against Spanky, Tony Mamaluke, Doug Williams, and James Maritato, losing to all but Mamaluke. At Honor Invades Boston, when Mark was able to perform, he defeated his brother, in the second-to-last match of the night. The Brothers went on briefly to feud against each other, during which time Jay scored a non-title win over ROH Champion Xavier at Glory By Honor. This earned him a title shot at All-Star Extravaganza, which he did not win. At Scramble Madness, back in Boston, the brothers' storyline involved them picking their own partners for a tag team match. Jay picked past foe Amazing Red, whereas Mark's partner was Christopher Daniels, as he seemingly joined The Prophecy. Daniels pinned Red to win the match. The Brothers' feud against one another concluded at the First Anniversary Show, when Jay defeated Mark in a match, and the two hugged afterward to signify their reunion. Mark never explicitly left the Prophecy, but in forming a team with his brother, he stopped teaming with them. Newly united as a team in ROH, the Briscoes began, in 2003, to feud with A.J. Styles and Amazing Red, then holders of the ROH Tag Team Championship, losing in title matches at Night of Champions, The Epic Encounter, and Death Before Dishonor, which by stipulation was their last match for the title for as long as Styles and Red held it. Before the last match, a poll was held on ROH's website, asking the fans if they wanted to see a third match between the two teams. Over 80% of respondents voted 'yes'. At Beating the Odds, they returned from a brief absence to score a pair of wins which were depicted in the storyline as being improbable, Mark over ROH veteran B.J. Whitmer and Jay in a Four Corner Survival match with ROH World Champion Samoa Joe, NWA World Heavyweight Champion A.J. Styles, and Chris Sabin, pinning Sabin to earn a future title shot at Joe. At ROH's Maryland debut, Tradition Continues, Joe retained over Jay. The Brothers took part in the gauntlet match at Glory By Honor 2, which was held to fill the tag team championship left vacant by Red suffering a serious knee injury. They defeated and eliminated the Special K team of Hydro and Angeldust as well as The Ring Crew Express, before being eliminated by the other Special K team in the match, Izzy and Dixie, due to outside interference from Angeldust. After Izzy and Dixie later won the tag team title, the Brothers were granted a shot at it, at Main Event Spectacles. The reason given in the storyline was they were given the shot since they only lost in the gauntlet match because Special K cheated. In the opening segment of that event, they were aligned with Jim Cornette, because, in the storyline, Cornette wanted to create new champions. They attacked his former client, Samoa Joe, who Cornette abandoned since he already was a champion. They went on to win the belts later in the show. At The Conclusion, The Battle Lines Are Drawn, and The Last Stand, which was by stipulation Joe's last shot at the tag team title for as long as the Briscoe Brothers held it, they retained the belts over Joe and a different partner each time, A.J. Styles, Bryan Danielson, and Jerry Lynn respectively. Since Joe took pinfalls at The Conclusion (to Mark) and The Last Stand (to Jay), both brothers subsequently earned shots at his world title. Both fell; Mark at Final Battle 2003 and Jay at At Our Best in a memorable and bloody steel cage match. They dropped the tag team title to the CM Punk and Colt Cabana at ROH's Chicago-area debut, ROH Reborn: Stage Two, working in ROH for the first time as outward heels. At the next show, Round Robin Challenge III, the title switched three times among the teams in the round robin challenge, the Second City Saints (Punk and Cabana), the Briscoe Brothers, and the Prophecy team of Dan Maff and B.J. Whitmer. The Briscoes defeated Maff and Whitmer in the fourth match of the night to win the title for a second time, and then lost it back to Punk and Cabana in the main event. The Brothers both participated in ROH's inaugural Survival of the Fittest tournament, with Mark going over Alex Shelley in his qualifier and Jay falling to Homicide. Mark did not, however, win the elimination final. After losing a two out of three falls tag team title match to Punk and Cabana at Death Before Dishonor II Part 1, ending that feud, they lost in separate singles matches to members of The Rottweilers the next night. Between that and their victory in tag team action at Testing the Limit, it is likely that a feud was planned between the Briscoes and the Rottweilers. The Briscoe Brothers have a somewhat checkered history with Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG). They have, numerous times, been announced for events at which they ultimately did not perform, such as when they were scheduled for a PWG World Tag Team Championship match against Roderick Strong and PAC at Giant-Size Annual #4, but wound up being replaced by then-PWG World Champion El Generico and Kevin Steen. The Briscoes have been involved with the promotion since its early days, debuting at PWG's fourth-ever show Are You Adequately Prepared to Rock? in October 2003, losing to Super Dragon and B-Boy.[80] Due to the costs of bringing them in from the East coast and the sabbatical from the sport the brothers took, they would not appear again until May 20, 2006, at Enchantment Under the Sea, falling to Cape Fear (Quicksilver and El Generico). At the 2006 Battle of Los Angeles, the Briscoes' numerous no-shows were worked into the company's kayfabe when PWG announced days before that they had been pulled from the tournament as punishment. They wound up appearing anyway, attacking Commissioner Dino Winwood on Night One. The next night, they wrestled in a three-way tag team match for the PWG World Tag Team Championship against Homicide and B-Boy and defending champions Arrogance (Chris Bosh and Scott Lost), who went on to retain the titles. The Briscoes next appeared on May 19 and May 20, 2007, to participate in the inaugural Dynamite Duumvirate Tag Team Title Tournament, created to declare new World Tag Team Champions. After defeating the Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli) in the Opening Round and the Havana Pitbulls (Ricky Reyes and Rocky Romero) in the Semifinals, they lost in the Final Round to Roderick Strong and PAC. At ¡Dia de los Dangerous! on February 24, 2008, "Commissioner of Food and Beverage" Excalibur announced that the Briscoe Brothers would return on March 7. That night, the Briscoes challenged for the World Tag Team Championship, but were unable to defeat The Dynasty (Joey Ryan and Scott Lost), following interference from Eddie Kingston and Claudio Castagnoli, members of Human Tornado's stable. The Briscoes were scheduled for the 2008 DDT4, but Mark was unable to perform, causing Jay to wrestle in singles matches against Austin Aries on Night One and a Necro Butcher Rules match against Necro Butcher on Night Two. After failing to show up at the fifth year anniversary show Life During Wartime on July 6, 2008, Excalibur announced that Jay was "fired" from the company (even though PWG has never been contractual) and wouldn't be allowed to come back. However, nearly two years later on March 20, 2010, it was announced that the Briscoe Brothers would return to the company on April 10 to challenge The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) for the World Tag Team Championship. On April 10 at Titannica, the Briscoes made their long-awaited return to the promotion, but were defeated by The Young Bucks. The next month, the brothers competed in the fourth annual DDT4, defeating Kamikaze (Akira Tozawa and Yamato) in the opening round before being eliminated by eventual winners ¡Peligro Abejas! (Paul London and El Generico). On March 4, 2011, the Briscoe Brothers were entered into DDT4 once more, this time losing to the Nightmare Violence Connection (Akira Tozawa and Kevin Steen) in the first round. The brothers went on an extensive hiatus from professional wrestling, beginning in August 2004. As was announced before ROH's Scramble Cage Melee, Mark was injured in a motorcycle accident between Testing the Limit and that show, and thus both brothers had left Ring of Honor. As Jay didn't wish to return to wrestling without his brother, they stopped taking bookings from any company. After making their returns in mid-2005 to Pro Wrestling Unplugged, followed in late 2005 at ROH, the company they had regularly been working for at the time of Mark's accident, hyped their return at the Fourth Anniversary Show in February 2006. The Brothers worked for Philadelphia-based Pro Wrestling Unplugged (PWU) since at least September 17, 2005, when they defeated The S.A.T. and All Money is Legal to win the then-vacant PWU Tag Team Championship. They held that title until April 22, 2006, when they dropped it to the S.A.T. After further appearances in 2006, which were all matches they lost, the Briscoe Brothers entered PWU's Pitbull/Public Enemy Memorial Cup on October 20. They advanced past the first round match, winning over the Krash Krew, but in the course of this match, Mark was injured when Jay inadvertently struck him in the mouth with the backswing of a chairshot. Mark was taken to the hospital after the match and subsequently lost a number of teeth and sustained damage to his gums as well. In their second-round match of the tournament, against Homicide and Ricky Reyes, Mark was replaced by Joker, who subsequently turned on Jay to cost them the match. They made one further appearance, at an event cross-promoted by PWU and Juggalo Championshit Wrestling. This was a four-way singles match involving Jay and Mark and the members of the S.A.T. to determine the number-one contender to the PWU World Heavyweight Championship, won by Jose Maximo. The Briscoe Brothers returned to ROH at the Fourth Anniversary Show in 2006, forcibly including themselves in a match that was at first between the teams of Tony Mamaluke and Sal Rinauro and Jason Blade and Kid Mikaze. They won in their re-debut. They then feuded for the tag team championship again, but much as they had against Styles and Red three years earlier, they lost in three shots against the champions at the time, Austin Aries and Roderick Strong, at Ring of Homicide, Destiny, and Unified. As before, the storyline was that this cost them any chance at the belts for as long as those champs held them. It was around this time that the Brothers became enforcers for Jim Cornette's heel character as ROH Commissioner, fighting battles against his enemies, most notably Homicide and his partner Samoa Joe at Glory By Honor V: Night Two and in anything goes, falls count anywhere, elimination match at Dethroned. During this time, they also feuded with Kenta and his partners Davey Richards and Naomichi Marufuji, facing Kenta and Richards at Time to Man Up and Kenta and Marufuji at Glory By Honor V: Night One. At Fifth Year Festival: Chicago, the Brothers finally reached the top of the mountain again, defeating Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal to win the tag team championship.[4][99] Their reign, however, proved to be brief, as they in turn to dropped the belts to Naruki Doi and Shingo Takagi in their first defense, at Fifth Year Festival: Liverpool. After this match, the storyline was that the brothers felt they needed to "man up" due to losing the title in their first defense, just as they had the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship earlier in the year. Thus, the two faced off what was described as "one time only" at Fifth Year Festival: Finale. The match ended in a draw, with both of them unable to answer the referee's standing ten-count. At the next event, All Star Extravaganza III, they won the title back from Doi and Shingo, but in the course of the match Mark was seriously injured attempting a Shooting Star Press to the floor. Mark was kept in the ICU of hospital for two nights, and suffered a seizure there before eventually being released. Two weeks later, at Fighting Spirit, Mark made an unadvertised and unannounced return, entering through the crowd to come to his brother's side during his match with Erick Stevens against Kevin Steen and El Generico. The storyline was that with Mark out and injured, Jay was tagging with Stevens as a replacement. The No Remorse Corps then ran in and attacked Stevens, and Jay was momentarily left without a partner until Mark entered. Mark eventually suffered the fall in the match after several bumps to the head. They then began to feud with Steen and Generico. After successfully retaining the tag title over Claudio Castagnoli and Matt Sydal at ROH's first pay-per-view Respect is Earned, Steen and Generico showed up and immediately demanded their title shot; the scene followed with a wild brawl all over the building. The feud was followed on both ROH's standard canon, with Steen defeating Mark at A Fight at the Roxbury, and the PPV series, with the Brothers successfully retaining the tag team title against Steen and Generico at Driven, after which Steen repeatedly attacked both brothers with a ladder. The Briscoes then retained over Steen and Generico in a steel cage match at Caged Rage and in ROH's first-ever ladder match at Man Up. After the ladder match, Jimmy Jacobs and the other members of The Age of the Fall attacked the Brothers and hanged Jay upside-down from the apparatus which held up the belts. It was announced that this would not be included in the footage shown on PPV, although it was soon after shown on ROH's video wire and was included with the DVD of the event. After Mark was again injured in a motorcycle accident, though considerably less serious, Jay was alone in a match held at the taping for ROH's fourth PPV, Undeniable. This was an anything goes match against Necro Butcher of the Age of the Fall, which he did not win.[111] On November 30, the Briscoes had a match which was taped to be included in Undeniable, a tag team title defense against Davey Richards and Rocky Romero, which they won. At Final Battle 2007, the Briscoes lost the ROH World Tag Team Championship to Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black of The Age of the Fall, but won it back on April 12, 2008, at Injustice, defeating Richards and Romero, who had since won the championship from Jacobs and Black. On April 20, ROH's official website reported that Mark had sustained a wrist injury due to Jacobs stabbing him with his trademark rail spike and stood to miss up to six months. The next day, the company announced that Jay and a partner of his choosing would continue to be recognized as the tag team champions. This partner was later revealed to be Austin Aries. After their successful defense against Jacobs & Black on May 10 at A New Level, the championship was declared vacant. Mark returned to active competition at Northern Navigation on July 25, teaming with Jay and Aries to defeated The Age of the Fall in a no disqualification match. On December 19, 2009, at Final Battle 2009, the Briscoes won the ROH World Tag Team Championship for a record sixth time by defeating The American Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards). They went on to lose the championship to the Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli) at the The Big Bang! pay-per-view on April 3. On August 23, 2010, Ring of Honor announced that the company had signed the Briscoe Brothers to contract extensions. The Briscoe Brothers ended their feud with the Kings of Wrestling on December 18 at Final Battle 2010, where they teamed with their father Mike "Papa" Briscoe in a six man tag team match, where they defeated Hero, Castagnoli and their manager Shane Hagadorn. On January 25, 2011, Ring of Honor announced that the Briscoe Brothers had signed new contract extensions with the promotion. On March 19 at Manhattan Mayhem IV, the Briscoe Brothers turned heel after suffering an upset loss against the All Night Xpress (Kenny King and Rhett Titus). On September 17 at Death Before Dishonor IX, the All Night Xpress defeated the Briscoe Brothers in a ladder match to become the number one contenders to the ROH World Tag Team Championship. At Final Battle 2011 on December 23, the Briscoes defeated Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin) to win the ROH World Tag Team Championship for the seventh time, turning back to faces in the process. On May 12, 2012, at Border Wars, the Briscoe Brothers lost the title back to Haas and Benjamin. On December 16 at Final Battle 2012: Doomsday, the Briscoe Brothers defeated S.C.U.M. (Jimmy Jacobs and Steve Corino) and Caprice Coleman and Cedric Alexander in a three-way match to win the ROH World Tag Team Championship for the eighth time. They lost the title to Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly on March 2, 2013, at the 11th Anniversary Show. On April 5 at Supercard of Honor VII, Jay defeated Kevin Steen to become the ROH World Champion. Jay made his first successful title defense on May 4 at Border Wars 2013 against Adam Cole. On June 22 at Best in the World 2013, Jay successfully defended the ROH World Championship against Mark. The following day, Jay made another successful title defense against Matt Hardy. During the weekend ROH shot injury angles with both Briscoes. On June 25, it was reported that both Jay's and Mark's contracts with ROH had expired and would not be renewed. On July 3, Ring of Honor stripped Jay of the ROH World Championship. On July 16, ROH announced Mark as the sixteenth and final entrant in a tournament to determine the new ROH World Champion, while also noting that Jay was slated to be out of action for three to six months. Mark was eliminated from the tournament in his first round match on July 27 by Adam Cole. Jay returned to ROH on September 20 at Death Before Dishonor XI to hand the title belt to the winner of the tournament, Adam Cole, who proceeded to attack him afterwards. On September 28, Mark won the Honor Rumble to earn a shot at the ROH World Championship, but was later that same event defeated by Cole. On October 26 at Glory By Honor XII, Jay entered a storyline, where he introduced his own ROH World Championship belt titled the "Real World Title", claiming that he was the true champion since he had never been defeated for the title. Jay received his shot at the ROH World Championship on December 14 at Final Battle 2013, but was defeated by Cole in a three-way match, which also included Michael Elgin. On February 8, 2014, Jay defeated Cole to retain his version of the ROH World Championship. The two world titles were unified in a ladder match on April 4 at Supercard of Honor VIII, where Cole was victorious, following outside interference from Matt Hardy and Michael Bennett. The Briscoe Brothers began regularly working for ROH's sister promotion, Full Impact Pro (FIP), in September 2006, after two appearances in May. They won the FIP Tag Team Championship from The Heartbreak Express in their fourth event with the promotion, Southern Justice, after previously winning a number one contenders match over Davey Richards and Colt Cabana. On November 11, at Evening the Odds, the Briscoes were aligned with newly crowned FIP Heavyweight Champion Roderick Strong as members of his team for a five-on-five elimination match, where the three of them were the only survivors. After Necro Butcher beat Mark and Mad Man Pondo fought Jay to a no contest on February 2 at Dangerous Intentions '07, the two of them, known as a team as The Deathmatch Kings, fell in a tag title match the next night at In Full Force '07. Both brothers competed in the FIP Florida Heritage Title Tournament held at the next event, the Eddie Graham Memorial Battle of the Belts, but Mark fell to Delirious in the first round and Jay to Roderick Strong in the semifinals. Their feud with the Deathmatch Kings continued at International Impact weekend, April 20 and April 21, culminating in the Brothers retaining the tag team title in a bar room brawl on night two. The Briscoes further went on in 2007 to retain the title in matches over the likes of Tyler Black & Marek Brave, Black & Trik Davis, and Irish Airborne. On November 9, at Unstoppable 2007, their year-long title reign ended, when they dropped the belts to Kenny King and Jason Blade. The Briscoe Brothers toured with Noah in 2007, winning the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship on January 7, 2007 from the team of Takashi Sugiura and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. However, they quickly dropped it two weeks later to Ricky Marvin and Kotaro Suzuki, essentially making them transitional champions.[145] They returned for three shows in July, the first a time limit draw against Kenta and Taiji Ishimori, the second a victory alongside Nigel McGuinness over Takuma Sano, Takashi Sugiura, and Tsutomu Hirayanagi, and the third a loss with McGuinness to Mitsuharu Misawa (Noah's owner), Yoshinari Ogawa, and Ricky Marvin. They have since gone back for further tours. On November 24, 2009, the Briscoe Brothers had a tryout for World Wrestling Entertainment at their SmackDown! and ECW tapings. The following month they were invited for a tryout at Florida Championship Wrestling, WWE's developmental territory. As revealed by the Briscoes in a YouTube video, they were eventually turned down by WWE as they were not "cosmetically pleasing" to suit WWE's programming. On December 11, 2010 at Cage of Death XII The Briscoes Returned to CZW challenging newly crowned CZW World Tag Team Champions Philly's Most Wanted of Blk Jeez and Joker to a title match in January.[150] On January 7, 2011 at "From Small Beginnings Come Great Things" Philly's Most Wanted retained the CZW World Tag Team Championships against the Briscoe Brothers in a no contest. The Briscoes then challenged Philly's Most Wanted to a no disqualification rematch. On February 12, 2011 at "Twelve: The Twelfth Anniversary Event" The Briscoe Brothers defeated Philly's Most Wanted to become the new CZW World Tag Team Champions. They lost the title back to Philly's Most Wanted on May 14, 2011. The Briscoes returned to CZW again on November 10, 2012, facing Dave and Jake Crist in a losing effort.

54. Stone Cold Steve Austin & Dude Love Stone Cold Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels won the WWF Tag Team Championships from Owen Hart and The British Bulldog, but Michaels was injured and could no longer compete. Mankind tried to replace him, but Austin said he wanted "nothing to do with a freak" and resigned himself to facing Hart and the Bulldog alone the next week. Halfway into the match, however, Foley debuted a new persona known as Dude Love who suddenly appeared and helped Austin take the victory, becoming the new Tag Team Champions. The following week in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Dude teamed with Austin, and Mankind's longtime nemesis, The Undertaker, to face Bret Hart, Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith, members of villainous anti-American stable, the Hart Foundation, in a USA vs. Canada Flag Match—the first match of its kind broadcast on Raw. The Hart Foundation ultimately won the match due to assistance from another Foundation member, Brian Pillman. Austin and Dude vacated their tag team titles when Austin suffered a (legitimate) serious neck injury at the hands of Owen Hart at SummerSlam.

53. The Briscos When Jack Brisco returned to Florida, he began teaming with his brother Jerry, who he had trained in professional wrestling. He also continued competing as a singles wrestler, winning the NWA Florida Television Championship on November 27, 1970. On February 16, 1971, the Briscos teamed up to win the NWA Florida Tag Team Championship. They dropped the belts the next month to Dory Funk, Jr. and Terry Funk and regained them from the Funks in April. The Briscos had an extensive feud with Funks. Nine days after Jack won his final TV Title, the Briscos won the tag titles again. After visits to Memphis, Texas, and Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling, they went back to Florida to once again to win several more championships. In 1977, they defeated Bob Orton, Jr. and Bob Roop for the NWA Florida Tag Team Championship. They lost the title to Ox Baker and "Superstar" Billy Graham and soon regained it in a rematch. On January 25, 1978, they won the belts again by defeating Ivan Koloff and Mr. Saito. While holding these belts, they also won the NWA Florida United States Tag Team Championship on February 21, from Mike Graham and Steve Keirn. They dropped the United States tag belts back to Graham and Keirn but soon regained them. They were defeated for the United States title by Killer Karl Kox and Bobby Duncum, and were again successful in regaining it in a rematch. The same thing happened when the Briscos faced Mr. Saito and Mr. Sato that year: they lost the belts and quickly won them back. The Briscos also defeated Saito and Sato to regain the NWA Florida Tag Team Championship. The following year, another victory over Saito and Sato earned the Briscos their final United States Tag Team Championship reign. The Briscos also had success in Georgia Championship Wrestling, where they won the NWA Georgia Tag Team Championship twice. They competed in a tournament for the tag team belts and finished in second place after a loss to the Funks. They defeated the Funks for the belts two months later. On November 25, 1979, the Briscos defeated Austin Idol and The Masked Superstar to win the belts a second time. Jack gave up his share of the title, however, to Ole Anderson. In a third Florida stint and after Jack lost the tag titles with his partner Jimmy Garvin, the Briscos won the belts for a final time. The Briscos won a tournament to win their first reign as NWA North American Tag Team Champions, defeating Assassin #1 and Bobby Jaggers in the finals. They lost the belts to the Funks on January 9, 1982, and regained them in a rematch one week later. The Briscos then went to Puerto Rico and won the WWC North American Tag Team Championship from Los Pastores (better known as The Bushwhackers) on August 8, holding it for six weeks before dropping it to The Fabulous Kangaroos. The Briscos won the Mid-Atlantic version of the NWA World Tag Team Championship three times. As heels, they beat Ricky Steamboat and Jay Youngblood for the belts on June 18, 1983. This set up a rivalry in which the belts switched hands several times. Steamboat and Youngblood regained the belts on October 3, but the Briscos won them back on October 21. They held the title for a little over a month before dropping it back to Steamboat and Youngblood. The Briscos again won the belts the following year, from Wahoo McDaniel and Mark Youngblood.

52. The Fabulous Ones Steve Keirn and Stan Lane were first brought together in early 1982. Jerry Lawler and Jerry Jarrett decided to give the two ”Pretty boys” a big push right off the bat, shooting a couple of music videos starring Lane and Keirn set to ZZ Top’s "Sharp Dressed Man" and Billy Squier’s "Everybody Wants You" while wearing top hats, sequin tuxedos and the like. This was one of the first times where music videos were used to get a wrestler ”over” (popular) in pro wrestling, a practice more common today. The CWA bookers also persuaded local hero The "Fabulous" Jackie Fargo to lend his endorsement to The Fabulous Ones (earning them the nickname ”Fargo’s Fabulous Ones”), which gave the team instant credibility in the South. The original plan for the Fabulous Ones was for them to dispatch the New York Dolls, then turn heel on Lawler and Dundee and be managed by Jim Cornette, but because of the overwhelming popularity of Lane and Keirn those plans were quickly changed. Their first feud was against Jimmy Hart’s team of “Dream Machine” Troy Graham and Rick McGraw. Hart countered the promotional push of the Fabulous Ones by producing similar videos for Graham and McGraw – dubbing them the “New York Dolls” and dressing them up in tuxedos and top hats like Lane and Keirn. The Fabulous Ones and the Dolls fought week in and week out in the Mid-South Coliseum until the Fabulous Ones were able to beat the Dolls decisively. In the early days the Fabulous Ones also feuded with the original version of The Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey, Randy Rose and Norvell Austin) including a series of unsuccessful challenges for the Express’ Southern Tag Team Championship. Once the Midnight Express lost their titles the Fabulous Ones started to gain victories over the trio both in regular tag and in 8 man tag team matches On October 25, 1982 Lane and Keirn defeated Bobby Eaton and Sweet Brown Sugar to win the Southern Tag Team Championship, the first titles that the Fabulous Ones held as a team. By this time the Fabulous Ones were a major draw in the CWA and with the Fabulous Ones holding the main tag team title in the promotion they only got more over. The Fabulous Ones’ popularity came not just from their wrestling skills but also from their charisma and sex appeal that made them especially popular with the female fans. Lane and Keirn’s first run with the titles lasted just under a month as they lost the titles to Bobby Eaton and the Dream Machine on November 22 but would regain them from the makeshift team only a week later on November 29. After dealing with Jimmy Hart’s stable the Fabulous Ones suddenly got a whole different team challenging them for the gold. Luke Williams and Jonathan Boyd (The Sheepherders) had entered the CWA in the fall of 1982 and soon came head to head with the Fabulous Ones. The Fabulous Ones / Sheepherder feud stands as one of the most memorable and bloody feuds. A feud that would rage on in several promotions between 1982 and 1987. The “pretty boy”, well polished Fabulous Ones and the ugly, brawling savage Sheepherders made for the perfect opponents and repeatedly drew big gates all over the country. The matches started out pretty evenly with the Fabulous Ones and the Sheepherders splitting the decisions but soon turned brutal and often without a definite winner. In December, 1982 the Sheepherders won the Southern Tag Team Championship from Lane and Keirn which only turned the intensity of the matches up a notch. Between late December and Mid February the two teams traded the belts back and forth 4 times with the Fabulous Ones ending up with possession of them in the end. On March 28 the Sheepherders wrestled their last match in the Mid-South Coliseum before leaving the CWA giving the Fabulous Ones (Kayfabe) credit for running them out of Memphis. After the feud with the Sheepherders ended the CWA sought to copy the success of that feud by having the Fabulous Ones face another team in the same mold as the Sheepherders: the Moondogs, in this case Rex and Spot. On April 4 the Moondogs won the Southern tag-team title in their usual brutal fashion but were unable to keep the titles for long as the Fabulous Ones regained the titles in an equally brutal match only 3 weeks later. After disposing of the Moondogs the Fabulous Ones began to feud with a team they had faced early on in their career, Bobby Eaton and Duke Myers. Jimmy Hart’s team won the Southern Tag-Team Title but did not hold them for long before they ended up around the waist of Lane and Keirn once more. After the Fabulous Ones dropped the Southern Titles to The Grapplers (Tony Anthony and Len Denton) the team did not immediately regain the gold; instead, the Fabulous Ones would spend the rest of the year in the mid card until finally winning their seventh from the Bruise Brothers (Troy Graham and Porkchop Cash, not Ron and Don Harris) on November 29. Around the turn of the year the Fabulous Ones and the CWA parted ways with the duo looking to cash in their success in other territories. The first place the Fabulous Ones show up after leaving Memphis is in Southwest Championship Wrestling from San Antonio, Texas. The Fabulous Ones supposedly won a tournament in Australia to become the first ever SWCW World Tag Team Champions. In reality, there was no tournament; it was just a way to reignite the feud between the Fabulous Ones and the Sheepherders who had been with the SWCW for a while. On March 4, 1984, the Sheepherders defeated the Fabulous Ones for the SWCW gold ending Keirn and Lane’s brief stay in Texas. The Fabulous Ones wrestled in the AWA in 1984 until early 1985. Keirn and Lane had great success in the AWA feuding with wrestlers such as Jesse Ventura, Bockwinkel, Saito, Heenan, and the Road Warriors but left the promotion after the Road Warriors went against Verne Gagne's orders and did not drop the AWA world tag team titles to the Fabs when they were told to. After failing to catch on in Texas and leaving the AWA, the Fabulous Ones returned ”home” to Memphis and were immediately thrust into the tag team title chase. On October 8 the Fabs defeated first the Nightmares then the Dirty White Boys before losing to Rick Rude and King Kong Bundy in a one night tournament to crown new Southern Tag Team Champions. Keirn and Lane soon got their revenge by winning their 8th Southern Tag Team title from Bundy and Rude on October 22. The team held on to the gold for a little over 6 weeks before losing it to the team of Don Bass and Roger Smith, also known as the Interns. On February 17, 1985 the Fabulous Ones regained the Southern Tag-Team championship from the Interns before launching into a feud with the PYT Express (Koko Ware and Norvell Austin), a team that like the Fabulous Ones played on the “Pretty Boy” gimmick. On April 15 the PYT Express won the gold through underhanded means and continued to fend off the Fabulous Ones through various “shady” tactics until they were stripped of the gold in June. After the PYT Express left the area Keirn and Lane easily won the Southern Tag Team Title once more defeating Ron Sexton and Billy Travis in a tournament final. Next for the Fabulous Ones was the return of an old Nemesis, the Sheepherders – in this case Rip Morgan and Jonathan Boyd teaming up as the “Kiwi Sheepherders”. Boyd and Morgan quickly made a mark on Memphis by beating the Fabulous Ones for Southern Tag Team Championship on June 17, 1985. The team was soon stripped of the titles due to excessive cheating but had the titles returned to them when Boyd and Morgan threatened to sue CWA management over the incident. Instead of taking the titles from the Sheepherders by stripping them the Fabulous Ones took the Southern tag team titles from them the old fashioned way – 4 times in a row between September 5 and October 12. The Fabulous Ones won what would turn out to be their last Southern Tag Team Championship on October 12, their 15th Southern Title all together. Few realized that an era in Memphis wrestling was ending when Bill Dundee and Dutch Mantel beat the Fabulous Ones for the titles on November 11. On April 19, 1986 the Fabulous Ones participated in the first ever Jim Crockett Sr. Memorial Cup held in the New Orleans, LA Superdome but lost in the first round to the Fantastics (Bobby Fulton and Tommy Rogers), a team that oddly enough was a carbon copy ripoff of them!. On April 20 the Fabulous Ones was part of “WrestleRock”, A stadium show held at the MetroDome in Minneapolis, MN. Keirn and Lane lost to the team of Mike Rotunda and Barry Windham (who previously worked as the US Express in the WWF) They then started working for Championship Wrestling from Florida, the territory where both men had made their debut. In a turn of events that mirrored their time with SWCW the Fabulous Ones “won” the NWA Florida United States Tag Team Championship in a fictitious tournament that supposedly took place in Portland, OR. Just like in the SWCW the team supposedly beat the Sheepherders in the tournament final and just like in the SWCW the Fabulous Ones immediately started feuding with the Sheepherders over the gold. On October 7 the Sheepherders ended the Fabulous Ones’ first reign with the NWA Florida United States Tag Team Championship and would keep them away from the Fabs until Lane and Keirn finally got the better of them on November 30 where they regained the belts. After losing the Florida US Tag Team title to Kareem Muhammad and Hacksaw Higgins After dropping the Florida titles and the promotion folding briefly Keirn and Lane returned to the territory that they were most successful in, Memphis. In Memphis they once again became entangled in a feud with the Sheeperhders in a rivalry that up until this point seemed like it would never end. In what would turn out to the last series of matches between the Sheepherders and the Fabulous Ones the Fabs dominated the matches and once again “Ran off” the Sheepherders. The feud with the Sheepherders turned out to be the last moment of glory for the Fabulous Ones as their 5 year run together was about to come to an end. Early in 1987 Dennis Condrey left Jim Crockett Promotions, abandoning the Midnight Express when they were scheduled to appear at an event in Los Angeles as he changed his plane ticket to go elsewhere in order to drop out of sight. Manager Jim Cornette brought in a man that Bobby Eaton was familiar with, having feuded with him extensively in Memphis – Stan Lane. When Lane joined Eaton to form the new Midnight Express it put the final nail in the coffin of the Fabulous Ones, ending their 5 year run. Keirn, meanwhile, would run a wrestling school in Florida, which he trained future superstars like Mike Awesome, Dennis Knight, Diamond Dallas Page, and Dustin Rhodes, to name a few. When Lane left World Championship Wrestling in late 1990, he reunited with Steve Keirn, working as the Fabulous Ones in their old stomping grounds in Memphis, which was now known as the United States Wrestling Association, this time with Jim Cornette as their manager. On January 7, 1991, The Fabs won the tag-team titles from Tony Anthony and Doug Gilbert. They held on to the titles for approximately three weeks before a match against Jerry Lawler and Jeff Jarrett got out of control and the titles were held up, before losing the rematch, and the titles, to Lawler and Jarrett a week later. After leaving the USWA later that year, the Fabulous Ones disbanded in May 1991, after Keirn signed with the World Wrestling Federation, while Lane and Cornette later started Smoky Mountain Wrestling in October 1991, and formed The Heavenly Bodies with Tom Prichard in 1992. Since then, The Fabs only teamed sporadically, most notably in 1995 where the duo competed in the “Best of Memphis” Tag-Team tournament which they won by beating Tommy Rich and Doug Gilbert in the finals. Since then the Fabulous Ones only reunite on special occasions. Keirn retired from active competition in 2001, after a tour with New Japan Pro Wrestling, while Lane retired four years later. The Fabulous Ones have often been credited with being the innovators of the "Pretty Boy" gimmick for tag teams and one of the first teams to popularize the use of music videos to help make them popular. With the success of the Fabulous Ones it wasn't long before promoters all over the country started to imitate their formula; even the Memphis promoters used the formula again and again with success. The first team to emulate the Fabulous Ones' formula was The Rock 'n' Roll Express, a fact admitted to by Jerry Lawler, and later on The Fantastics (who were originally billed as "The Fantastic Ones). Other teams have used the "fun loving pretty boy" gimmick but none more successfully than The Rockers, a team that started out in Memphis as the "Midnight Rockers" but soon rose to national stardom first in the AWA and then in the WWF. The 1997 Extreme Championship Wrestling comedy act team of "Dancin'" Stevie Richards and the Blue Meanie used numerous names, going by "the Fabulous Ones" most extensively before adding members and becoming the Blue World Order. They were also a main inspiration for other promotions. WCW created the team of Lenny and Lodi, while WWE modeled several teams after the Fabulous Ones. The Dicks (Chad Dick and James Dick), The Heart Throbs, Well Dunn, and the team of Billy and Chuck were all inspired by the Fabulous Ones. In recent times, videos of The Fabulous Ones have become running gags on the WWE online comedy show Are You Serious?, where co-host Josh Mathews often cites them as the precursor to Road Dogg's tag team, the New Age Outlaws. They have also been the subject of a comedy article on Cracked.com.

51. The Age of the Fall The Age of the Fall was a professional wrestling stable, primarily in Ring of Honor and its sister promotion Full Impact Pro, but also in other independent promotions such as Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. For months leading into the ROH return to Chicago there were cryptic messages on a blog and website of a stable entering ROH that was code named "Project 161." Jimmy Jacobs was one of the names mentioned who could be behind this along with Adam Pearce and a few other Chicago based ROH wrestlers. At one point, posts related to Project 161 flooded the ROH message board, but ROH booker Gabe Sapolsky claimed these were actually fans' doing. Many fans noted that an upcoming Pay Per View taping would be the 161st ROH show, and it was no coincidence that the stable stated they would appear at the show. After making a successful return to ROH, Jimmy Jacobs, the returning Necro Butcher and the debuting Tyler Black violently attacked the Briscoe Brothers right after a brutal ladder match with Kevin Steen and El Generico. This meant Jimmy Jacobs was indeed behind Project 161. Jay Briscoe was hung upside from the rigging that was used to hoist the titles from the ladder match. This was a disgusting scene as the blood of Jay Briscoe dripped onto Jimmy Jacobs as he announced the beginning of The Age of the Fall. The angle was so controversial that ROH decided to remove the footage from the pay-per view that was being taped at the event. However, the footage was also heavily requested by ROH fans, so it was shown on the ROH Videowire for the week of September 15. Also, a "blood edit" of their debut is featured on the DVD of the event, Man Up. Later on in the event, Tyler Black and Jack Evans faced off in a non-PPV match until both Jimmy Jacobs and Necro Butcher got involved. The Irish Airborne entered the ring to save Jack Evans, which lead to a six-man tag between The Age of the Fall and the makeshift three-man team of Jack Evans and the Irish Airborne. The match battled to a no-contest as Necro Butcher punched out the referee during the middle of the match. The day after their debut, their website, which now redirected to Ageofthefall.com revealed that all the blog entries had been written by Black. In an interview with the German website www.genickbruch.com, Jacobs revealed there would be more people involved. A woman named Allison Wonderland would also become a follower of Jacobs on November 30, debuting in Dayton during a 4-Way Tag Team Scramble. At Unscripted III, Jimmy Jacobs gained arguably the greatest victory of his career, defeating former ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson with his new finisher, the End Time. At Final Battle 2007 on December 30, 2007, Jacobs and Tyler Black defeated the Briscoe Brothers to win the ROH World Tag Team Championship. At January 25's Breakout, Jacobs teamed with the returning Joey Matthews, the newest member of The Age of the Fall, in a losing effort against Roderick Strong and Rocky Romero of the No Remorse Corps. The following night at Without Remorse, Jacobs and Black lost the ROH World Tag Team Championship to the No Remorse Corps' Davey Richards and Rocky Romero in an Ultimate Endurance match involving Brent Albright and B.J. Whitmer of The Hangmen 3, and Austin Aries and Bryan Danielson. On February 22 at Eye of the Storm, Jacobs introduced Zach Gowen as the newest member of the group. Following the announcement the two of them were defeated by the Vulture Squad of Jigsaw and Ruckus. The group at this time had an open invitation for Austin Aries to join them, writing blogs and posting YouTube videos about and directed at him. Tammy Sytch had made a counter offer to Aries of her services (including offering money and sex) against him joining the group. On March 29, 2008 at Supercard Of Honor III, Jacobs and Black defeated The Briscoes in a Relaxed Rules Match when Jacobs countered the springboard Doomsday Device into The End Time. Rain accompanied the group to the ring along with Lacey, showing the first (and to date only) time an AOTF member in Full Impact Pro was recognized in ROH. A contributing factor to this appearance was that the show was in Florida where Rain lives. Prior to the match, Jacobs referenced to a 'homeless man' who was shown on camera, saying he had bought him a ticket so he could enjoy the show. The man in question was Mr. Milo Beasley, also a member of AOTF in FIP, but he was neither named or acknowledged as being part of the group. During the match he was driven through a table by a legdrop off a balcony after saving AOTF from suffering the move. Later in the show, AOTF approached Aries after his match, again making the offer for him to join them. Aries left the ring with Lacey, who was going to 'convince' him, rejecting Tammy Sytch's offer (who came out to try to stop Aries leaving with Lacey). Black and Jacobs then held Sytch to allow Rain to slap her, before The Briscoes ran in to make the save. At ROH's Take No Prisoners pay-per-view, Black pinned Delirious to win a Four Corner Survival match which also involved Go Shiozaki and Claudio Castagnoli. This earned Black a ROH World Championship match in the show's main event. During the broadcast Jacobs 'interrupted' the broadcast, repeatedly seen speaking alongside Gowen and Wonderland to 'followers' of AOTF. In a Philadelphia Street Fight The Briscoe Brothers (with Daizee Haze) were victorious over Butcher and Matthews (with Lacey). Black was defeated by champion Nigel McGuinness in the championship match. Many called Black's effort a breakout star performance, which had the crowd fully supporting the usually hated AOTF member. At Return Engagement on April 19, Lacey left the group, siding with Austin Aries romantically. Aries also turned down the invitation into the group. Jacobs, heartbroken by Lacey leaving him, broke down in the ring to the chants of "Cry, Jimmy, Cry!" from fans and being covered with streamers. Later in the show Jacobs showed signs of a mental breakdown as he hit himself in the head with his trademark spike, to the concern of his fellow group members. The main event was changed as Jacobs pulled out. The Vulture Squad (Ruckus, Jigsaw and Jack Evans) were then beaten by the combination of Matthews, Black and Gowen (who replaced Jacobs). Post match Jacobs called out Aries and the two brawled, before Aries was jumped by Black, Matthews and Gowen. Jacobs went to attack Aries with his spike, but he stopped when Lacey begged him not to. The AOTF would later ambush Lacey outside of an exercise business in a video posted on their website, where Jacobs produced his spike from his cane before the video cut off. After the video was posted, Lacey was not seen in ROH, SHIMMER or anywhere in wrestling. On the June 5, 2008 edition of the ROH Video Wire, Austin Aries stated in a sit down interview with Dave Prazak that Lacey would not be returning to Ring of Honor as a result of the Age Of The Fall's ambush. In August 2008 the Wrestling Observer confirmed Lacey had quit wrestling to return to school, so the "ambush" served both to further the feud between Jacobs and Aries, and to write Lacey out of the storyline completely. On June 6, Black and Jacobs recaptured the ROH World Tag Team Championship in a one-night tournament in Hartford, Connecticut at Up for Grabs. They defeated Delirious and Pelle Primeau, Austin Aries and Bryan Danielson via DQ, and Kevin Steen and El Generico en route to beginning their second reign. The following night in Philadelphia at Respect Is Earned II, they defeated Aries and Danielson to retain the titles when Black pinned Danielson with the phoenix splash. On June 27 in Dayton, Ohio at Battle For Supremacy, Black and Matthews were defeated by Kevin Steen and El Generico when Steen pinned Matthews following the Package Piledriver. Necro Butcher defeated Austin Aries in a "Relaxed Rules" match. After sending Butcher through a table Aries told him to stop doing Jacobs's dirty work for him. Aries then refused to fight back, and after taking a beating was put away with a chair shot to the head. The next night, June 28, at Vendetta II in Chicago Ridge, Illinois, Aries pinned Jacobs in a "Relaxed Rules" match. During this match, MsChif interfered by blinding Aries with her green mist and was officially made a member of the stable in the group's next blog entry. Stipulations for this match said the winner would pick the loser's match for the next Chicago Ridge event, and Aries picked a No Disqualification match between Jacobs and Necro Butcher. Also during this event Butcher and Black defeated Steen and Generico when Butcher pinned Steen with a roll up after a chair shot to the face from Black. At this time, AOTF members Matthews and Gowen were not booked for further ROH events. Although neither has been officially written out or removed from the stable, it is considered they are former members due to no longer being on the ROH roster or on shows. On July 25, in Toronto Black and Jacobs were defeated by Austin Aries and Jay Bricoe in a Non-Title NO DQ Match. The bout featured involvement from Mark Briscoe and Necro Butcher; Jacobs ordered Butcher to stab Aries in the eye with a spike but Necro threw it down instead and walked off. Briscoe eventually pinned Black following a springboard Doomsday Device. The next night, July 26, 2008 in Detroit MI, Bryan Danielson defeated Black via referee stoppage after repeated elbow strikes to the head. During this match Black used a turnbuckle powerbomb that actually broke the top turnbuckle off the corner, breaking the top rope. This forced staff to switch the bottom rope for the top, meaning the rest of the show was worked with no bottom rope. Jacobs would brawl with Aries at various moments during the entire show which culminated in a fist fight on top of a 20 foot ladder. Necro Butcher walked out and tipped it over sending them both crashing through a table below. On August 1, 2008 in Manassas, VA Black and Jacobs retained the ROH World Tag Team Championships defeating Go Shiozaki and Naomichi Marufuji while Roderick Strong pinned Necro Butcher in a Relaxed Rules Match. The next night, August 2, 2008 in New York City, Austin Aries defeated Jacobs and Butcher in a Three Way Dance when he pinned Jacobs with a brainbuster / 450° splash combination. Despite entering together, Jacobs and Butcher would argue during the match; Aries hit Butcher in the back with a chair and threw it to Jacobs. Butcher turned around and assumed it had been Jacobs who had struck him and delivered a punch to the face and a chair shot of his own before leaving the ring and heading to the back. In the show's main event, Black would be pinned by ROH World Champion Nigel McGuiness following two straight lariats in a Four Man Elimination Match that also included Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli. On August 15, 2008 in Cleveland, Ohio, Delirious joined the stable, having changed from his usual 'crazy' antics since being turned down by Daizee Haze (and thus heart broken). Jacobs and Wonderland came out during his match with Rhett Titus, encouraging him to beat down Titus even more. After the match Daizee Haze came out tried to convince Delirious not to join, but failed as he left with his new stablemates. Later in the night Delirious and Jacobs were defeated by the Briscoes in a tag team match, while Aries defeated Black in a 1-on-1 match. The next night, August 16, 2008 in Chicago Ridge, Delirious attacked his scheduled partner Pelle Primeau, and attack which ROH's website has described as 'career ending'. Daizee Haze attempted again to convince Delirious to stop, but was attacked by MsChif who used the Desecrater to lay her out. In the main event, Jacobs defeated Necro Butcher in a no disqualification match after Aries ran in to help Butcher, who was being double teamed by Black and Jacobs. Jacobs was preparing to do a move off of the top rope to Necro Butcher, who was being held down on a table by Black, when Aries ran in and tried to stop Jacobs but got powerbombed off the top rope through the table with Butcher lying on it for the 3 count. On September 13, 2008 in Tokyo, Japan Black and Jacobs successfully defended the ROH World Tag Team Championships, defeating Jay and Mark Briscoe when Jacobs forced Mark Briscoe to submit to the End Time. The next night, September 14, 2008 also in Tokyo, Japan the two would lose their respective singles matches. Austin Aries defeated Black via submission with the Last Chancery, post match Jacobs joined Black in attacking Aries before promising to cause chaos in Japan and to win the ROH World title. Black and Jacobs would also attack the Briscoes Brothers after their match, Jacobs again cutting a promo making promises. Jacobs however would lose to Nigel McGuiness in the main event where McGuiness' ROH World Championship was on the line. On September 19, 2008 in Boston, Ma as part of ROH Pay Per View taping Austin Aries defeated Delirious via Submission with the Last Chancery after Delirious was distracted by Jacobs demanding Delirious continue to assault Aries. Post match Jacobs put Aries through a table with a back Senton splash off the top rope. In the main event, Kevin Steen and El Generico defeated Jacobs and Black to capture the ROH World Tag Team Championships. The next night, September 20, 2008 at Glory by Honor VII in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Austin Aries and The Briscoes defeated Necro Butcher (who was fighting alone with no partners), and the team of Black, Jacobs and Delirious, in a Steel Cage Warfare match. The Briscoes were the last team remaining after the match was left down to them against Black and Jacobs. During the contest, Delirious attacked Daizee Haze (who on a ROH Video Wire had stated she wanted to get her friend Delirious back) with a spike when she tried to convince him to stop and leave the group. On October 24, in Danbury, CT, Necro Butcher defeated Delirious and Mark Briscoe in a No DQ Three Way Dance when he pinned Delirious following a Tiger Driver. Later on The Latin American Xchange defeated Black and Jacobs, Chris Hero and Davey Richards and ROH World Tag Team Champions Kevin Steen and El Generico in the company's first ever 30 Minute Four Team Iron Man match. On October 25, in Edison, NJ, Jimmy Jacobs defeated Austin Aries in an Anything Goes match with The End Time after Delirious and debuting member Brodie Lee came to assist him. The team of Lee and Delirious then defeated Cheech and Cloudy. Later on Tyler Black defeated Jerry Lynn. On November 7, 2008 in Montreal, Quebec Necro Butcher defeated Brodie Lee via DQ when Jacobs and Black ran down and attacked him. Afterward all three beat Necro down and left him laying. Later on Jerry Lynn pinned Delirious with the Cradle Piledriver, and Austin Aries and Bryan Danielson defeated Jacobs and Black when Aries forced Jacobs to submit the Last Chancery. Post match there was dissension between AotF members when Jacobs blamed Black for the loss, then the two left the ring without exchanging words. On November 8, 2008 in Markham, Ontario Rhett Titus and Kenny King defeated Delirious and Brodie Lee via Count Out after they beat and chased Titus to the back with King remaining the legal man in the ring. Later on Austin Aries defeated Jacobs in a Dog Collar match via submission with a chain-assisted Last Chancery. Tyler Black attempted to give assistance but Jacobs sent him back to the locker room. Also Bryan Danielson defeated Black and Kenny Omega in a Three Way Dance when he forced Omega to submit to the Cattle Mutilation. On November 21, 2008 in Dayton, Ohio ROH World Tag Team Champions Kevin Steen and El Generico defeated Jacobs and Delirious to retain while Austin Aries defeated Black and ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness in a non-title Three Way Dance by pinning Black. On November 22, 2008 in Chicago Ridge, IL Delirious pinned Rhett Titus with the Shadows Over Hell and post-match beat him down further and destroyed his Top of the Class trophy. On the same night MsChif pinned Sara Del Rey with the Desecrator to retain her SHIMMER Championship and Austin Aries defeated Jimmy Jacobs in an "I Quit" match with a crossface while striking him in the face with his own spike to win their feud. Lacey returned to oppose Tyler Black and after almost throwing in the towel for Aries, she, at the end of the match, prevented Black from throwing in his towel for Jacobs, who therefore was forced to verbally submit to Aries. After the match Jacobs screamed at Black, who then left the ring and went to the back by himself. Later in the show's main event the returning Samoa Joe defeated Black via submission with the rear naked choke. On December 5, 2008 in Collinsville, Illinois, Jacobs and Delirious fought Necro Butcher and Ace Steel in a tag team match, which they lost due to an interference from Daizee Haze. Haze convinced Delirious not spike Necro which led to Steel and Butcher winning the match as a result. Later that night, Austin Aries told Tyler Black that he didn't know why he still hung around with Jacobs, and that he could be a star and popular with the fans if Jacobs wasn't stopping him. The two had a match which Black won with a small package driver. Both men received standing ovations from the crowd. On December 6, 2008 in Nashville, Tennessee, Delirious defeated Alex Payne with the Shadows Over Hell while Jacobs and Black fought Aries and Necro to a double count-out in a tag team match. At Final Battle 2008 on December 27, Austin Aries defeated Tyler Black to become the number one contender to the ROH World Championship after Jacobs went down to ringside and distracted him. Afterward, Black was attacked by both Jacobs and Aries. On January 16, 2009 in Manassas, Va, Necro Butcher pinned Delirious with the Tiger Driver. Near the end of the bout Jimmy Jacobs had handed Delirious his spike but Daizee Haze came out and convinced him to hand it over to her leading to his loss. Later, Jacobs pinned Bryan Danielson with a cradle pin off an attempted Triangle Choke hold. On January 17, 2009 in Edison, NJ, Delirious defeated Necro Butcher, Damien Wayne, and Sean Denny in a Four Corners Survival Match when he pinned Denny with Shadows over Hell. Later Jay Briscoe defeated Jacobs and Austin Aries in a Three Way Dance when he pinned Jacobs with a roll up after Jacobs accidentally speared Aries. On March 13, 2009 in Collinsville, IL, Delirious turned on Jacobs and broke away from the stable. The following night in Indianapolis, IN, Jacobs defeated Delirious in a No Disqualification match with the End Time. After several months of little activity it was believed that the Age of the Fall had disbanded. Jimmy Jacobs was even announced as being the former leader of the Age of the Fall. However on June 26, 2009 in Detroit, MI, after Tyler Black had defeated Jimmy Jacobs in a steel cage match, over a dozen men dressed in black clothing and black masks climbed into the cage and attacked Black. While the chaos ensued Jimmy Jacobs proclaimed that the Age of the Fall was not over, it had just begun. Jimmy Jacobs was then carried out of the arena by the Age of the Fall members. The following night in Chicago Ridge, IL, after KENTA had defeated Black, Jacobs and his followers attacked again and tried to hang him by his ankles upside down above the ring. Kevin Steen, El Generico and Delirious ran in to make the save and in the end Jacobs wound up hanging above the ring with Black declaring that the Age of the Fall had died. On February 16, 2008, at Redefined the stable crossed over to ROH's sister promotion Full Impact Pro (FIP) when Black recruited Lacey and her longtime tag team partner Rain (both of whom in FIP were members of the group YRR [Young, Rich, and Ready for Action]) to the stable. On May 30 at In Full Force, Mr. Milo Beasley and Leva Bates joined the stable. So far Rain is the only member of the FIP AOTF who has also made an appearance in ROH for the group. AOTF, particularly Tyler Black, has been feuding with The YRR stable over their use of numbers tactics to gain an advantage. Black and Jacobs were unsuccessful at winning the FIP Tag Team Championship in tag-team and 2 out of 3 falls tag team matches due to outside interference from YRR members. The duo of Bates and Rain were however successful in defeating a female team representing the YRR. The feud ended after the 2 out of 3 falls match, and a one on one match between Rain and Mercedes Martinez (hired by the YRR to take out Rain) where Martinez squashed Rain, and gave similar beatings to Bates and Beasley. On October 11, at Impact of Honor 2 Black defeated Erick Stevens to become the number one contender for the FIP World Heavyweight Championship, held at the time by Go Shiozaki, after using God's Last Gift. Also on the show, MsChif defended her SHIMMER Championship, defeating Rain. Not only was this a match between two AOTF members, the first in the group's history (both women remain in the stable), but the first SHIMMER title defense of MsChif's reign outside of SHIMMER events. On December 20, Black defeated Shiozaki to win the FIP World Heavyweight Championship. On July 6, 2008 at Life During Wartime in Reseda, California, Jacobs and Black defeated the team of El Generico (substituting for Jack Evans) and Roderick Strong to win the PWG World Tag Team Championship. On August 31, 2008 The Young Bucks (Nick and Matt Jackson) defeated Black and Jacobs to capture the titles. On February 19, 2010 Black and Jacobs reunited and defeated The House of Truth to capture the AAW Tag Team Championship. However they have never referred to themselves as the Age of the Fall. On September 24, 2010, Black and Jacobs lost the titles back to The House of Truth.

50. Minnesota Wrecking Crew Gene Anderson formed the original Minnesota Wrecking Crew with Lars Anderson in 1966. They wrestled throughout the country in the late 60's until Lars left to live in Hawaii. In 1969 Gene then brought in Alan Rogowski, and renamed him Ole Anderson. They dominated tag team wrestling in the 1970s, winning the NWA World Tag Team Titles 8 times. Over those years, Lars Anderson was on occasion brought back in as part of this team. When Gene stopped wrestling in 1981 to manage, the team was disbanded. In 1985, Ole reformed the Crew with Arn Anderson (his kayfabe nephew) as his partner. They won the NWA National Tag Team Titles and were members of the original Four Horsemen as the Wrecking Crew. They disbanded in 1987 when Ole was kicked out of the Horsemen. Arn and Ole revived the Wrecking Crew in 1990 but it lasted for only a few months before Ole retired. In 2001 in Ohio Valley Wrestling, Brock Lesnar and Shelton Benjamin (once teammates on the University of Minnesota wrestling team) formed the Minnesota Stretching Crew in honor of the Wrecking Crew. More recently, independent women wrestlers Lacey and Rain have started using the name Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew in homage to the Andersons' classic tag team.

49. AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels Styles and Daniels were originally linked together in TNA through the Vince Russo-led faction known as Sports Entertainment Xtreme. Daniels was a member of the X-Division trio assembled by Russo known as Triple X, along with Low Ki and Elix Skipper, whereas Styles was the on-again, off-again centerpiece of the group. However, particular interaction between the two was limited at the time, and their association faded out following the dissolution of SEX. Their first notable interactions came throughout their feuds for the TNA X Division Championship. They feuded for most of 2005 over the title, with Styles as the fan favorite cornerstone of the division and Daniels as a villain driven by jealousy and ego. To add backstory to Daniels' motivation, reference was occasionally made to the first match the two ever had against one another back in October 2001 before the inception of TNA. Some of the most notable matches between the two include the series of three way matches they had with Samoa Joe: their three-way main event match for the title at Unbreakable in particular is still widely considered one of the top matches in the company's history. Things changed, however, after Samoa Joe critically injured Daniels at the Genesis pay-per-view in November 2005, leaving Daniels with a major concussion. After his return from the injury, Daniels seemed to turn into a fan favorite, and came to the assistance of Styles at Turning Point, after Styles lost the X Title to Joe, when Joe tried to injure Styles the same way he injured Daniels. On the New Year's Eve episode of TNA Impact!, Daniels again saved Styles when a singles match with James Storm of America's Most Wanted went awry. This led to a match for the NWA World Tag Team Championship with AMW later that night on a midnight special, which AMW won after considerable interference. From that point on, Daniels and Styles continued their feud with Samoa Joe. Their newfound friendship, however, was threatened at Final Resolution 2006 when Styles threw in the towel on Daniels' behalf, ending their X Division Title bout when Joe refused to let go of a Coquina Clutch and Daniels refused to tap out. After two three-ways between them, including an Ultimate X match at Destination X 2006 where Daniels won the title after Joe couldn't climb the X structure, Styles and Daniels solidified their friendship. After Daniels lost the title back to Samoa Joe in April 2006, though, the two began teaming up more, partially as part of a larger grouping of fan favorites who were opposing Planet Jarrett. As part of this large feuds, the two began to specifically team up often in a series of title matches against America's Most Wanted, then the NWA World Tag Team Champions. Part of this feud between the teams featured the idea that Styles and Daniels kept getting screwed by the interference from Gail Kim. They finally won a title match, and the titles, when they brought Sirelda to keep Gail Kim from interfering in the match. In July 2006, amidst storyline criticism of the two as a team, Styles and Daniels produced a series of envelopes containing contracts with every tag team in TNA to prove that they are fighting champions. Konnan interrupted them from the Spanish announce table and accused them of not having The Latin American Xchange (LAX) within their contracts, and called them racist. Styles quickly pulled out LAX's envelope and the team came down to the Spanish announce table to have Konnan sign it. They were ambushed by Homicide and Hernandez and beaten down, with Daniels being busted open. Konnan then signed the contract using Daniels blood, sealing the team's title defense against LAX at Hard Justice 2006. At the event, Styles and Daniels successfully defended the titles. On the August 24 edition of TNA Impact!, Styles and Daniels defended their tag titles against Hernandez and Homicide in a rematch of Hard Justice 2006 in a Border Brawl match. They subsequently lost them after interference from Konnan. The next week on the August 31 episode of Impact!, Styles and Daniels used their rematch clause for No Surrender 2006 in the first-ever tag team Ultimate X match against LAX, a match which they won and became two-time NWA World Tag Team Champions. At Bound for Glory 2006, Styles and Daniels lost their titles to LAX in a Six Sides of Steel match. At Genesis 2006 they had their final falling out after Daniels got involved in Styles' match against Christian Cage and accidentally cost him the bout. The team had what was billed as their last match against The Naturals on the November 23 show, winning. Although Styles and Daniels would both turn villainous since, the team did not officially reform, as by the time Daniels turned, Styles was already in Christian's Coalition. They would only team up twice in matches before Daniels headed the revival of his former stable Triple X. One of those times included the July 5 edition of Impact!, when Styles and Daniels briefly joined forces once again to participate in a three-way tag match against LAX and then-Tag Team Champions Team 3D, for both the tag team titles and a spot in the Victory Road 2007 "Match of Champions".[14] The team lost, however. At the 2007 No Surrender event, they did work together throughout much of a 10-team tag team gauntlet match despite being on separate teams - Styles and his Christian Coalition tag team partner Tomko would end up winning that match, and their ensuing match against Team Pacman for the TNA World Tag Team Championship. Styles and Daniels' next appearance together would be on the first weekly two-hour Impact! on October 4 with Triple X and Christian's Coalition teaming up in the 8-man tag team main event against LAX, Junior Fatu, and Samoa Joe. They would come up short when Triple X's Senshi was pinned after taking a Muscle Buster from Joe. Since then, A.J. Styles and Tomko joined the Angle Alliance and Christopher Daniels was (kayfabe) fired from TNA (returning a month later as the masked face Curry Man), ending all chance of the two teaming up for the time being. That lasted until the last Impact before the Lockdown 2009 pay-per-view (by which time the Curry Man persona had also been fired as well), when Jeff Jarrett reinstated Daniels to join the team of Jarrett, Styles, and Samoa Joe against the Kurt Angle-captained Main Event Mafia in the Lethal Lockdown match. Styles would pin Booker T at Lockdown after a shot from Jarrett's guitar, winning the match for their team. From there, they would team together on occasion in resistance efforts against the Main Event Mafia, until A.J. won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at No Surrender and Daniels eventually became a title contender along with Samoa Joe. As mistrust developed thanks to a mysterious assailant attacking Styles and Joe stirring the pot, the two would fall out once again, Daniels this time turning into the bitter villain. Tomko would be revealed as the attacker, and Styles would turn rogue himself thanks to the influence of Ric Flair, but the two had yet to team together again before Daniels was released from TNA in early April. Daniels returned to TNA again on the March 31, 2011, edition of Impact! as a face, wanting to avenge A.J. Styles, after he was injured by Bully Ray. On the April 21 edition of Impact!, Daniels was officially named a member of Styles' stable, Fortune, who he'd worked alongside at Lockdown, and they would wrestle their first match back together on the May 5 edition of Impact!, where they defeated Bully Ray and Gunner. They teamed up again on the May 26th edition of Impact Wrestling, defeating Tommy Dreamer (who turned heel the previous week) and Bully Ray in a Street Fight. Following A.J.'s victory over him at July 10's Destination X pay-per-view, Daniels would spend weeks asking Styles for a rematch. Styles finally granted Daniels his request on the September 1 edition of Impact Wrestling, where Daniels managed to pick up the win. After the match, Daniels refused to shake hands with Styles. On the September 22 edition of Impact Wrestling, Daniels refused to return the favor and give Styles a rematch while making arrogant remarks about being better than him similarly to the past two weeks, which eventually led to a brawl between the two. When the two were finally separated from each other by fellow Fortune member Kazarian, Daniels kicked Styles in the groin, completing his latest heel turn and ending the duo's latest alliance.

48. reDRagon On December 16 at Final Battle 2012: Doomsday, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish (known as reDRagon) faced the reformed American Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) in a losing effort. At the following iPPV, 11th Anniversary Show on March 2, 2013, O'Reilly and Fish defeated the Briscoe Brothers for the ROH World Tag Team Championship. The same month, they successfully defended the championship against Alabama Attitude (Corey Hollis and Mike Posey), before retaining it at Best in the World 2013 in June in a three-way match against the C & C Wrestle Factory (Caprice Coleman and Cedric Alexander) and S.C.U.M. (Cliff Compton and Rhett Titus). They lost the title to the Forever Hooligans (Alex Koslov and Rocky Romero) on July 27, but regained the title from the American Wolves on August 17. Over the next several months reDRagon successfully defended the championship against teams including the C & C Wrestle Factory, the Forever Hooligans, and Jay Lethal and Michael Elgin. They retained the championship against Outlaw, Inc. (Homicide and Eddie Kingston) at Final Battle 2013 in December and Adrenaline Rush (ACH and TaDarius Thomas) at the 12th Anniversary Show in February 2014. On March 8, 2014, reDRagon lost the title to The Young Bucks.

47. Latin American Xchange LAX emerged from the breakup of 4Live Kru (newly added member Kip James), which was the result of Konnan being tired of the shenanigans between B.G. James and Kip James. When Kip was permitted into the stable, it was the last straw. At Turning Point in 2005, Konnan attacked Kip and B.G. with a chair, signaling that stable's end. Throughout December, "Bullet" Bob Armstrong, B.G. James' father, tried to get 4Live Kru back together. On the December 31, 2005 episode of TNA Impact!, Bullet Bob encountered Konnan, who expressed himself like he had a change of heart and was willing to talk. Later in the show, however, two other Latino wrestlers, the returning Apolo and the debuting Homicide, ambushed Bullet Bob backstage at Konnan's command. As a result, a feud began between LAX and the James Gang, who sought revenge for the attack. The feud between LAX and the James Gang continued through January 2006. At Against All Odds on February 12, 2006, Apolo and Homicide were scheduled to wrestle the James Gang. Apolo, however, had been released from TNA earlier that month for no-showing an event. His departure was explained on-screen by Konnan, who simply stated that the LAX was expanding, then introduced Apolo's replacement, the debuting Machete. Homicide and Machete went on to lose to the James Gang. On the March 18, 2006 episode of Impact, Homicide and Machete lost to Shark Boy and Norman Smiley after Konnan inadvertently hit Machete with his slapjack. After the match, Konnan tore off Machete's Puerto Rican t-shirt and threw him out of the stable. On the March 31 episode of TNA Xplosion, Konnan justified why he fired Machete, pointing to Machete's loss to Shark Boy. Later that evening, Konnan introduced the newest member of the LAX, the returning Hernandez. Hernandez and Homicide teamed together in a loss to Chris Sabin and Jay Lethal. LAX were next involved in an angle where they refused to wrestle, claiming that Latinos were "discriminated" against in TNA. The storyline borrowed heavily from the current controversy surrounding illegal immigration. During this time Konnan established a "border" around the Spanish announcer area (where he provided Spanish commentary alongside Moody Jack Meléndez) and denied entry to non-Latino individuals (they usually used the derogatory term Gringo when referring to American wrestlers or non-Latino wrestlers in general). LAX often jumped any wrestler(s) who wander too close to the area. On the June 29 episode of Impact!, Jim Cornette declared that LAX's work stoppage would mean a "check stoppage". Homicide would wrestle on the July 6 episode, with the stipulation that LAX have a special Spanish ring entrance, announced by Melendez. Konnan later made an offer to Ron "The Truth" Killings to join LAX. After Killings denied the offer, LAX assaulted him. LAX also attempted to give Sonjay Dutt a similar beating after one of Dutt's matches, but Killings interfered and made the save; this led to a tag team match at Victory Road between Homicide and Hernandez and Killings and Dutt. Hernandez picked up the victory for LAX after applying the Border Toss on Dutt. On the July 20 episode of Impact!, the NWA World Tag Team Champions A.J. Styles and Christopher Daniels made an open challenge in which they offered any team on the TNA roster a contract to face them for the titles, including LAX, who would then proceed to attack the champions, causing both of them to bleed, and then signed the contract with Daniels' blood. On the August 24 episode of Impact!, LAX would defeat Styles and Daniels in a Border Brawl to win the NWA World Tag Team Championship. LAX lost the title back to Styles and Daniels at No Surrender in the first ever tag team Ultimate X match, but were granted a rematch after assaulting Styles in Mexico City. LAX regained the title in a Six Sides of Steel match at Bound for Glory, after Homicide performed Da Gringo Killa on Styles, while Konnan strangled Daniels with a coathanger from outside the cage. On the October 19 edition of Impact! LAX started a feud with America's Most Wanted (James Storm and Chris Harris) by attacking them after the four of them had lost an eight man tag team match against Styles, Daniels and the James Gang. The assault ended with Hernandez applying the Border Toss on AMW's manager Gail Kim. During the November 16 episode of Impact!, LAX nearly burned the American flag, as they promised one week earlier, but were stopped by Petey Williams. After stealing a victory over America's Most Wanted at Genesis Konnan told Homicide to use Da Gringo Killa on Gail Kim. Petey Williams made the save, and TNA Management Director Jim Cornette stripped them of the Titles for "conduct extremely disrespectful to TNA and its fans". Despite the then-recently increased recognition of good and bad guy characters by the TNA audience and the rising extremism at the time of the "anti-American" actions of the LAX, the decision to forcibly remove the titles from the legitimate tag team champions actually infuriated the fans in the arena and stirred up some unsavory chants directed at Cornette. LAX refused to return the belts, hired a lawyer, and (kayfabe) threatened to sue TNA for violating their First Amendment rights. At that point, Cornette backed down and reinstated LAX as NWA World Tag Team Champions. On the next episode of Impact! they were placed in a match against Kurt Angle and Petey Williams with Cornette stating that he could not strip them of the titles but he could make them defend it. Throughout the broadcast LAX took out James Storm and Chris Harris, as well as Petey Williams right before the title match. LAX seemed to have the advantage on Angle when Samoa Joe came out to tag with Angle. Angle and Joe both proceeded to apply their respective submission holds and made both Homicide and Hernandez tap, thus apparently winning the NWA World Tag Team Championships. But soon after the bell sounded Cornette and LAX's lawyer appeared with the lawyer stating Joe was not signed to the contract and the match must be declared a disqualification on Angle to end the show. At Turning Point, LAX defeated America's Most Wanted in a flag match after they managed to hang the Mexican Flag, making the LAX the first non-American team to win a flag match on American soil. They had another victory over America's Most Wanted on December 14 in a "Titles vs. Career" match after James Storm deliberately hit Chris Harris with a beer bottle. The loss forced AMW to disband. On the January 4, 2007 edition of Impact!, Homicide and Brother Runt competed in a "Lucha Callejera", or Street Fight. The match ended with Hernandez interfering when he applied a Border Toss on Runt, throwing him into a propped-up ladder. Then LAX entered into a feud against Team 3D. At Final Resolution, LAX retained their tag championship by disqualification against Team 3D, when an apparently drunk Brother Runt came out and jumped off the top rope with a headbutt on Homicide. Konnan was not with LAX; he was injured recovering from hip replacement surgery. The television storyline cover for the surgery's necessity was a Team 3D "sniper attack". He would later be scheduled to have kidney replacement surgery, as well. LAX and 3D met again on Impact! the same week, LAX retained the titles when Hernandez used the slapjack to score a pinfall over Brother Ray. In mid-February, Machete returned to TNA and to the LAX, although he was not recognized as part of the TNA roster, in an enforcer/bodyguard role, seen with a Puerto Rican flag bandanna over the lower part of his face, pushing the wheelchair-laden Konnan to the ringside area so he could continue managing Homicide and Hernandez during matches. The team revealed even more of a mean streak in the wake of Konnan's injury. The LAX formed an alliance with Alex Shelley, as they would attack the family and friends of Team 3D as Shelley videotaped the assaults, which included Brother Ray's real-life uncle, Brother Devon's trainer Johnny Rodz, and Brother Runt. In the February 23 episode of Impact!, the teams faced each other in a "Belting Pot" lumberjack match, in which both teams had a group of leather strap-armed followers that would act as lumberjacks in the match. LAX was supported by a group of "Latino Nation" members and Team 3D had a group of "Italian Family" mobsters behind them (this angle was used to promote Brother Ray's Italian roots). Team 3D won that match after the leader of the Italian mobsters (Sopranos star Steve Schirripa) interfered. The teams met again at Destination X in a Ghetto Brawl, and the match was won by LAX. Later that week, the teams faced each other again a six man tag match, in what would end up being another victory for LAX and Shelley. The LAX would claim to rob the legacy of Team 3D, until Team 3D with their honorary WWE, WCW and ECW tag team championships in tow, would challenge LAX at Lockdown. LAX accepted, under the condition that the Six Sides of Steel would be electrified, a match that played into the LAX's favor with its Mexican wrestling heritage. Before the event, LAX kidnapped Brother Runt and shot him with a tazer gun to antagonize Team 3D. At Lockdown, LAX lost to Team 3D as they were defeated in the Electrified Steel Cage match to lose the NWA World Tag Team Championships. At Sacrifice, LAX failed to regain the World Tag Team Title in a Triple Threat Tag Team match against Team 3D and Scott Steiner and Tomko, although neither LAX member was involved in the decision. Despite Konnan quitting at the June 19 Impact! tapings, Homicide and Hernandez remained in TNA to continue on as LAX. On the July 26, 2007 edition of Impact!, LAX became heroes by attacking the Voodoo Kin Mafia for disgracing the Puerto Rican flag. At Hard Justice, LAX beat VKM. VKM originally beat LAX when Kip James pinned Hernandez with the Fameasser, however Hector Guerrero, the one Latin American who LAX had actually feuded with (although loosely) during Konnan's tenure as the leader, showed the referee that VKM had used powder to win. After a restart Homicide pinned Kip with a roll-up. At the following pay-per-view, Bound for Glory, LAX defeated Elix Skipper and Senshi in an Ultimate X Match to become number one contender to the TNA World Tag Team Championship. They were, however, unsuccessful in their attempt to become tag team champions to A.J. Styles and Tomko on an episode of Impact!. In the weeks following, the stable was aided by a heavily clothed, masked figure whom, at Final Resolution was revealed as Salinas. At the 2008 Destination X pay-per-view in March, LAX got back in the title picture by defeating The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) and The Rock 'n Rave Infection (Jimmy Rave and Lance Hoyt) in a number one contender's match. On the May 1 episode of Impact!, LAX asked Hector Guerrero to be their advisor, which he accepted. On the May 11 pay-per-view Sacrifice, LAX won the vacant TNA Tag Title after defeating Team 3D in the "Deuces Wild" tournament final with help from Guerrero. Afterward, Team 3D attacked Hector and left him beaten, creating another feud between LAX and Team 3D. After defeating 3D to retain the tag straps, they would find themselves in a feud with Beer Money, Inc. (James Storm, Robert Roode and their manager, Jacqueline). Beer Money whipped all four members of LAX with belts, resulting in a Fans' Revenge match being booked for the tag titles at Victory Road. After defeating Beer Money, Inc. at Victory Road, LAX fought them once again for the TNA World Tag Team Championships at Hard Justice this time in a regular two-on-two match. Beer Money, Inc. claimed victory in the match when Roode crashed a beer bottle over Homicide's head, allowing Storm to gain the pinfall, thus ending LAX's four month reign as champions. At No Surrender, LAX was once again defeated by Beer Money, Inc. when they met for a championship rematch. Before the match, Jacqueline was revealed to have attacked Salinas backstage, and as a result she had to be rushed to the hospital. This was done to write her out of the LAX and their feud with Beer Money on-screen, and explain her departure from TNA shortly before the pay-per-view. On the September 25 episode of Impact! Homicide, Hernandez and Guerrero fought Roode, Storm and Jacqueline in a six person "Loser's manager leaves town" match. Beer Money, Inc. won the match when Roode pinned Hernandez and as a result of the match Guerrero could no longer manage Homicide and Hernandez in TNA. At Bound for Glory IV LAX competed in a four team Monster's Ball match, but were defeated when Robert Roode pinned Hernandez after Team 3D had put him through a table covered with thumbtacks. On September 30, 2008, it was announced on Ring of Honor (ROH)'s official website that LAX would be appearing at ROH shows on October 24 and 25. On October 24 in Danbury, Connecticut LAX defeated the ROH World Tag Team Champions Kevin Steen and El Generico, The Age of the Fall (Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black) and Chris Hero and Davey Richards in a 30-minute Iron Man match. On October 25, however, they lost to the Briscoe Brothers. At Final Resolution on December 7, 2008, LAX took part in the second ever "Feast or Fired" match where both members managed to capture a briefcase containing either a shot at the World Heavyweight, X Division or Tag Team titles or a pink slip. The contents of the briefcases were revealed on the following episode of Impact! resulting in a future World Heavyweight Championship match for Hernandez and an X Division Championship opportunity for Homicide. The Latin American Xchange debuted in the International Wrestling Association on Histeria Boricua, a special event that took place on January 6, 2009. There they were booked against Los Dueños de la Malicia, a tag team composed by Noel Rodríguez and Dennis Rivera. The contest was won by Los Dueños de la Malicia, with Rodríguez pinning Homicide following a distraction on the outside of the ring. On the January 15, 2009 edition of Impact! Hernandez cashed in his Feast or Fired opportunity and challenged Sting for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Hernandez won via disqualification after the rest of The Main Event Mafia interfered in the match and therefore the belt stayed with Sting. On the January 29 edition of Impact! Mick Foley announced that due to winning the first match via disqualification Hernandez will get a rematch for the title down the road. On the July 16 edition of Impact! Homicide cashed in his "Feast or Fired" briefcase to win the X Division Championship from Suicide. After Hernandez returned from a neck surgery on the July 23 edition of Impact! the team went inactive as both he and Homicide began concentrating on their singles careers. On the September 10 edition of Impact! Homicide turned on Hernandez and joined the heel faction World Elite effectively ending the partnership between the two. On the March 22, 2010, edition of Impact! there were signs of reconciliation between the former members of LAX as Homicide came out to check on Hernandez, as he was being helped by medics after he had been laid out by his new World Tag Team Championship partner Matt Morgan. However, on August 19, 2010, Homicide was released from TNA. On March 17, 2013, LAX reunited, when Homicide returned to TNA to take part in the tapings of the 10 Reunion One Night Only pay-per-view, during which he and Hernandez wrestled in a three-way tag team match, which was won by Team 3D and also included Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels and Kazarian). Two days later, LAX defeated The Disciples of the New Church (Sinn and Slash) at the tapings of the Hardcore Justice 2 pay-per-view. LAX made their debut in Jersey All Pro Wrestling on June 9, 2007. They defeated Azriel and Jay Lethal and won the JAPW Tag Team Championship. Their first defense was on September 8, 2007, against Low Ki and Samoa Joe. LAX defended the title on December 8 against BLKOUT (Eddie Kingston & Slyk Wagner Brown) and Low Ki & Teddy Hart, on February 16, 2008 against The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin), March 8 against Samoa Joe & Teddy Hart, April 19 against t The Rock 'n Rave Infection (Jimmy Rave & Lance Hoyt), May 31 against The Heavy Hitters (Havok & Monsta Mack), June 28 against The SAT (Joel Maximo & Jose Maximo), . On 2008, LAX appeared at Jersey All Pro Wrestling Beat the Odds and Basebrawl event. They retained the titles against The Heavy Hitters (Havok & Monsta Mack) on September 19 and against Balls Mahoney and Nunzio on September 20. LAX lost the title On November 15 to FBI (Nunzio & Tracy Smoothers). Their last JAPW match was on December 13, 2008, defeating The Briscoe Brothers. Also, on October 27, 2007, Homicide defeated Low Ki to win the Heavyweight title. The same night, The Latin American Exchange (Hernandez & Homicide) & The Strong Style Thugs (B-Boy & Low Ki) wrestled against BLKOUT (Eddie Kingston, Joker, Ruckus, Sabian & Slyk Wagner Brown) for both titles. However, the match ended when Low Ki covered Homicide, winning the Heavyweight title. On 2007, LAX appeared in United Wrestling Federation as part of Rock 'n' Roll Express Tag Team Tournament from July 19 to July 21. They defeated The Diamonds In The Rough (David Young & Elix Skipper) and Team Macktion (Kirby Mack & TJ Mack). However, they lost in the finals against The Steiner Brothers (Rick Steiner & Scott Steiner). Due to this, LAX wrestled against The Naturals (Andy Douglas & Chase Stevens) in the Loser's Final match, but they lost. LAX returned on September 21 and 22. First day, Team Slaughter (Dustin Rhodes, Kirby Mack, Rick Steiner, Scott Steiner & TJ Mack) defeat Team JBL (CW Anderson, Elix Skipper, Hernandez, Homicide & Steve Corino) in a War Games. Second day, The Steiner Brothers defeated them again. LAX made their debut as team in Ring of Honor on October 24, 2008, The Return of the 187. LAX won an Iron Team including at El Generico & Kevin Steen and Sweet 'n' Sour Inc. (Chris Hero & Davey Richards) and The Age Of The Fall (Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black), with 2-0-1-1. Next day, at Ring of Homicide 2, they were defeated by The Briscoe Brothers. On March 1, 2011, Ring of Honor announced that LAX would reunite at the promotion's Manhattan Mayhem IV event on March 19 in Manhattan, New York, where they would take on the ROH World Tag Team Champions, the Kings of Wrestling of Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli. On March 19 LAX was defeated in their return match by the Kings of Wrestling. On November 15, 2013, LAX competed in a tournament to crown the first House of Glory Tag Team Champions. LAX defeated Anthony Nese and Ricky Reyes in the first round and Fire Ant and Jigsaw in the semi finals, before losing to The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) in the finals.

46. Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel After both having runs in WWE's developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling, Slater and Gabriel debuted on the first season of WWE NXT. Their partnership began on the June 7, 2010 Viewer's Choice edition of Raw, when they, along with the rest of the season 1 rookies (Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Skip Sheffield, Darren Young, Daniel Bryan, and Michael Tarver), debuted during the main event between WWE Champion John Cena and CM Punk sporting matching armbands with the letter N. Season 1 winner Wade Barrett led the group in an attack on Cena, Punk, Luke Gallows, Jerry Lawler, Matt Striker, Justin Roberts, and other WWE personnel around the ring, as well as destroying everything at ringside, including the announce table and the ring itself. Barrett named the group The Nexus. A week later, the group explained their actions as retribution for the poor treatment they received from WWE management during their time on NXT. The attack was also to threaten WWE into giving the remaining six members (sans Daniel Bryan, who had been released from WWE) contracts. Raw General Manager Bret Hart declined the demand and fired Barrett. When Hart then ordered the whole Raw roster to stand guard at the ringside and stage areas during the main event, Nexus attacked Hart backstage by forcing him into a limousine and crashing it into other vehicles. The group then spent the next few weeks attacking various WWE figures, such as Hall of Famer Ricky Steamboat and WWE Chairman Vince McMahon who tried to take credit for Nexus' actions. When Bret Hart was removed in favor of a new anonymous Raw General Manager, the Nexus were given contracts. The Nexus were in the main event of SummerSlam, losing a 7-on-7 elimination tag team match against Team WWE (John Cena, Edge, Chris Jericho, Bret Hart, John Morrison, R-Truth and a returning Daniel Bryan). The group then went through some changes, leading to the removal of Darren Young and the additions of Husky Harris and Michael McGillicutty. On the October 25 edition of RAW, Slater and Gabriel won their first WWE Tag Team Championship by beating John Cena and David Otunga after Wade Barrett ordered Otunga to lie down and let Slater pin him. Gabriel and Slater held the championship for nearly two months, before losing it to Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov in a four-way elimination match also involving The Usos and Mark Henry and Yoshi Tatsu on the December 6 episode of RAW. Gabriel and Slater received a rematch for the championship at the TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs on December 19, but lost by disqualification when Nexus member Michael McGillicutty interfered. Soon after, Barrett was ousted as the Nexus leader and CM Punk became the new leader of the group, dubbing them The New Nexus. Punk demanded backstage that Slater and Gabriel beat each other with kendo sticks as per their initiation into The New Nexus. But after hesitating to attack one another, the two dropped their weapons and refused to join the group. Slater and Gabriel moved to the SmackDown brand where they rejoined Wade Barrett along with Ezekiel Jackson to form The Corre when the four of them attacked The Big Show on January 14, 2011 airing of SmackDown and started a feud with him. After winning a non-title match against the champions Kozlov and Marella on the February 4 episode of SmackDown, Gabriel and Slater received a match for the WWE Tag Team Championship two weeks later, but lost via disqualification when the other members of The Corre interfered. They received a rematch at the Elimination Chamber PPV on February 20 and defeated Marella and Kozlov to win the championship for the second time. The following night on RAW, Gabriel and Slater lost the championship to John Cena and The Miz, but won the titles back minutes later after Barrett invoked The Corre's rematch clause and The Miz turned on Cena, giving Slater and Gabriel their third championship. Things took a turn for the worse for the Corre when the group was soundly beaten at WrestleMania XXVII in a 8-man tag team match against Santino, Kofi Kingston, Big Show, and Kane in under 2 minutes. One day later, the Corre attacked John Cena and The Rock, but the duo overwhelmed them. On the April 22 edition of SmackDown, Slater and Gabriel lost the tag team titles to the team of Big Show and Kane. After Ezekiel Jackson was exiled from The Corre, Slater and Gabriel walked away from the group a few weeks later on the June 10 edition of SmackDown, disbanding the stable. After they parted ways with Barrett, they went on to win matches in the following weeks over likes of The Usos. On the July 8 edition of SmackDown, The Usos defeated Slater and Gabriel, after which Slater and Gabriel showed tension between one another. On the July 15 edition of SmackDown, Slater and Gabriel faced each other in a match, before which Slater said he was tired of sharing his spotlight with Gabriel and that he should be on top of the WWE. Gabriel won the match. They wrestled their last match as a team at a house show on July 16, losing to Big Show and Kane. They then both competed in the SmackDown Money In The Bank ladder match at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view, which was won by Daniel Bryan. Slater and Gabriel faced off again on the December 22 edition of Superstars and December 28 edition of NXT Redemption with Gabriel getting the pinfall over Slater once again.
