Kelly Holcomb is worshiped in Cleveland for being the starting QB in the only playoff game in modern Browns history on essentially two broken legs.
And that he wasn't Tim Couch.

Tommy Herr, So Taguchi, Tom Pagnozzi, Willie McGee. Willie McGee is obscure?! Is that true? When I think of obscure Cardinals, I think of guys like Brian Jordan (Played in NFL and MLB), Kiko Calero (Funny name), Ray King (Portly lefty outa the bullpen), Todd Worrell (forgotten closer), Jose Oquendo (funny batting stance; may not count either), Steve Lake (RBI Baseball), Bob Tewksbury (flash in the pan for a couple of years), etc. Nationally and to casual sports fans, I'd say he is, not with baseball die hards though and definitely not in the Midwest.

NFL: Merton Hanks(and his neck), Christian Okoye, Ickey Woods
NBA: Sam Perkins, Wally World, Xavier McDaniel also Mickael Pietrus, Only because of the time I played my brother in either NBA 2K7 or 8 and I let him pick my team He picked Golden State I put Pietrus in the starting line up and he dropped 83 points. It was ridiculous he was hitting absolutely everything.
MLS: Stern John
Also I love players with ridiculous names like Coco Crisp, God Shamgod and Ron Tugnutt.

Manute Bol is my favorite NBA player ever for some reason. Dude was awesome.
Other favorites include:
NBA: Fred Hoiberg Oliver Miller
NFL: Bam Morris Byron Hanspard Rodney Thomas Leeland McElroy
NCAA Football:
Rohan Marley. That dude was the prototype for the Polamalu style SS even though he played as an undersized LB.

Seriously one of the best PGs of the 80s. A guy who for several years averaged over 18 PPG 9 RPG 8 APG and 3.5 SPG... you never hear his name mentioned ever. Played for some really bad teams.

I also liked Alan Ogg because of his name. Not that obscure, but I always liked B.J. Armstrong.

Pokey Reese and Mark Bellhorn. Pokey Reese is also a favorite of mine. He played minor league ball here in West Virginia and I got his autograph at a game back then. Big fan of Pokey. As for other obscure (to a lot of people anyway), Chuck Person, Jacque Vaughn, Herman Moore, Robert Porcher, Kenny Lofton (even though I'm a Tigers fan), T.J. Ford, Calbert Cheaney, Jason Williams and Mike Maroth.

Nick Anderson deserves to have his numbered retired by the Magic. Orlando fans can tell you this, but outside of that group I don't ever hear him mentioned. He scored 50 points off the bench once! The Finals will always haunt his legacy, but Anderson is to this day my #1 basketball star, and of all the basketball games I watched there's only one that stands out crystal clear all these years later, and its because of him. Shaq's return to Orlando in 1998.
Jump to 6:33 if you want to see my fav moment in Magic fandom.
Bo Outlaw was pretty good too, and I always liked Danny Shays. Def not one you ever see anyone say that about lol.
Wow, don't watch much bball anymore so missed that last month he was put into the Magic Hall of Fame! Watching his speech now.
