I remember thinking Sable was smoking hot. I see the 90's stuff now and she's actually kind of hideous. On the flip side, Sunny and Tori seem even hotter. I never got into Sable that much. I just didn't see what others saw I guess. I mean Sunny was way hotter.

I might not have ever actually looked at Sable's face until a couple weeks ago.

I can safely say this about the vast majority of the Attitude Era. for every Austin vs. McMahon or Triple H vs. Cactus Jack or Rock promo there was about 10 Big Show Casket Rides or Jerry Lawler acting like his skeevy perv self.

DX: A bunch of greasy guys in their 30s yelling "Suck It". If you met guys like them at the bar, you would hate them. sorta how I felt about 2006-onwards DX.

Watching those Double J Jeff Jarrett introductory vignettes from RAW in 1993 again (first time was actually when they first aired with me being 8 years old at the time) and although I read the Wrestlecrap induction on Double J...it doesn't prepare you how completely hilarious it comes across in its stupidity. Seriously the logic in this "The corrupt country music industry won't give me a fair chance. So I'll become famous by wrestling in the WWF which will make the country music industry notice me and pave my way for a great singer!" Just . OK, this is more of a case of "I remember this being indifferent towards...now it kinda sucks", but didn't know where else to post it.

WCW
I'd probably say ECW too but I haven't watched any of that on the Network

My main memory of those vignettes was that they were constantly aired for months on end.

Or DOA matches. God, did those guys suck. I watched Over the Edge 98 last night, and almost tapped out in the first match: DOA vs. LOD 2000

I actually thought she was WAYYY hotter when she came back post brand split. MILF Sable was much hotter than she was during the Attitude Era, IMO.

honestly War Games matches are not as cool as i remember them being.... yeah I remember liking the 98 one cause there would be an individual winner, but the whole thing was an illogical clusterf*** that made no sense

If you had a match that 'dangerous,' the least you can do is have blood. The 96 one was really good b/c it basically kickstarted Crow Sting, NWO was only a few months old and you had NWO vs. Horsemen/WCW. It was the perfect feud, but again, no blood.

ECW and their explicit use of the F-word on PPVs got old really quick. (I'm looking at you, Rhino.) Joel Gertner and his "waiting in line at the BMV" length introductions, too.
Spike Dudley, however, gets a pass. Especially his retort to Rhino at Massacre On 34th Street.

I really hate the way WWE is trying to rewrite history and make "DX Invades Nitro" some sort of classic and seminal moment. At the time, it was just a dumb, unfunny subplot running through a normal Attitude Era RAW. Real highlights of the show: Owen Hart turned on Ken Shamrock and joined the Nation, and Austin defended the WWF title against TAFKA Goldust with Brisco as the ref.

I still like it, but I think ECW might best be left to "best of" compilations I'm actually really enjoying watching the old hardcore tv shows. Of the dozen ive seen, most have been great. Losing the original music hurts it overall though

The best of Raws that took place during the Attitude Era. Seriously I don't think there was a match that lasted longer than 5 minutes on Raw back then. I could just imagine how much material the writers/bookers would go through if Raw was another hour longer back in the Attitude era. WWF would have needed a WCW sized roster.

Jake Roberts was actually kinda boring from a pure wrestling stand-point. I never noticed this back in the day. he did a short clothesline and the DDT and punches. I can't remember anything else that ever happened in a Jake Roberts match

Real highlights of the show: Owen Hart turned on Ken Shamrock and joined the Nation, and Austin defended the WWF title against TAFKA Goldust with Brisco as the ref. considering what Goldust and Owen were used as in the Attitude Era, and the fact Owen's turn on Shamrock was to battle DX I'd say WWE either considers that a seminal moment, a DX is cooler and more edgy than the NWO thing, or that's what they intended it to be at the time.

I distinctly recall thinking the Kennel from Hell match sounded like an awesome idea as a kid. kinda glad I never actually saw it back then, in hindsight.

I would highly recommend picking up Mick Foley's "Hard Knocks and Cheap Pops" dvd, where the KFH match is an extra feature, and has some absolutely Hilarious alternate commentary by Foley and Kevin Kelly, where they act like that match was Flair/Steamboat. Best way to watch that match.
