Sorry to any Rangers or Canadiens fans, but whoever represents the Western Conference in the Finals is hoisting the Stanley Cup. Montreal or New York are lambs being led to slaughter against the Blackhawks or Kings.

No NHL playoff team has ever reached the Stanley Cup Finals after going 7 games in the first 2 rounds. Kings are really playing with fire IMO.

You never trade the best player in the world unless you get the 2nd and 3rd best player in the world. Especially one who is only 26. Edmonton trading Gretzky nearly killed the Oilers and nearly got them moved in Houston (it started a huge domino effect).
Anywho firing Sherro depresses me. Sherro whose team never missed the playoffs under his watch with 8 straight post season appearances, two Stanley cup final appearances, and one Stanley Cup win gets fired because his team got swept in the confernce finals last year and one win away from advancing to the conferencing finals. Expectations are way to f***ing high in Pittsburgh. Cup or Bust mentality is really stupid to have in the NHL considering the NHL is the most parity major league in all of sports. Like honestly who the f*** predicted NYR or Montreal will be advancing to the cup finals this year? Who the f*** predicted an 8th seeded team to win a cup? Or every f***ing Cinderella cup finals run? Or how 8 different teams won the cup in 8 years?
Anyways this news really depresses me because if Sherro gets fired for that then why the f*** is Kevin Lowe still employed?!?!?!?

Here is the list of teams that went 7 games in first 2 rounds and won:
1993 Leafs
2002 Leafs/Avalanche
2003 Wild
2009 Hurricanes
2012 Rangers
2014 Rangers
2014 Kings barring an epic collapse
None won round 3

Would have to be a really epic collapse, since it's 4-0 and we've had a keeper chased.

Well, after Colorado and Anaheim and St. Louis dominated the West headlines- LA-Chicago again is an amazing letdown for those of us that wanted something new

Quick makes a mistake, and the Ducks are on the board.

Not excited for the West Finals. Chicago's won enough, and LA basically waits until April to get going. 6 elimination games in the first 2 rounds? That is playing with fire. The Kings are going to get burned at some point.

Quick makes a mistake, and the Ducks are on the board. Did he make a mistake or was he taking a nap?

Already tired of hearing about how no team can stand up to their might and they will win the next 7 cups and blah, blah, blah.

I'm not excited about the Kings myself. They're essentially this era's Devils.
To me, it's the satisfaction that at least one of these teams HAS to lose.

Well assuming the Kings win I like all 4 teams remaining. I just like the Hawks the least because of Chelsea Dagger. I didn't mind that song for years but I just got annoyed by it this year for some reason. That's my pity reason of not liking a team. Also Patrick Kane annoys me but he's on my playoff pool. Dammit you were my first round pick and I was excited you were still available considering I drew 12 out of 12 in the draft order!

I want to see a goalie duel between Quick and Henrik. That'd just be boss. Price would be ok. Crawford is the odd man out, while great he isn't in that league. Henrik being the best overall as he just seems to play the game at his own speed. Everything he does seems cool, collected, and calm. Then you have Quick whose every move seems almost frenzied.
