The network could have been more successful or as successful if it had been made available on cable and dish? Is the fact that it Is not on cable a factor is some of you not subscribing?

Definitely more viewers tho they would make much less % of the subscription $ which could mean less $ going to WWE

No cable or satellite company would've picked them up if they were planning on moving the PPV's there.

So going the Netflix route was their only option?

With the PPV's it would have never picked up nor would WWE sell it like that. They way subscriber fees contracts work there is no way at all it would work.
To put that in perspective....one cable company pays ESPN (Disney) $5.28 per TV subscriber (whether they get the channel or not) per month....they have 2.8 million tv subscribers...you do the math and that's just one channel. Granted that channel is far and away the most expensive but how much would WWE want to cover all that lost ppv revenue to themselves and make it worthwhile and how much would cable/satellite companies be willing to pay per subscriber. I imagine those 2 totals would never even get close to consider.

The Netflix format is way, way better for wrestling, in general. I can't just sit and watch wrestling all day, but dredging up an old PPV from the 90's is pretty fun.
