My GF thinks he's boring and dumb. He isn't attractive, which for her is the majority of the points deducted. But also she doesn't get hyped over running kicks and running suicide dives, which I admit are half of his matches. He's not fun to watch because he's not a badass, basically. She agrees with heels that call him a troll. I'll give her until Summerslam but if she doesn't get with it, I'm gone. I had a girlfriend who was like this once when it came to wrestlers looks. So for a week I watched shows she liked -- everything ranging from CW bullshit to Parenthood to American Idol, etc.-- making surface comments about people's appearances and attractiveness and worth until she just lost her shit and said: "Why the f*** does it matter what they look like?" To which I answered: "So, you think judging a character or performer's worth or appeal purely on physical traits is what, exactly?" And she, not at the time realizing it, replied: "No! It's stupid and shallow and meaningless!" She never said anything stupidly shallow about "hot wrestlers" again, or devalued the ones who were supposedly not. Oh, I broke up with her soon after, too, she eventually dated some idiot, and had an ugly baby. So the universe returned to spectacular balance.

I don't like the stupid beard and I wish he'd shave it off.
There, that's literally the only negative thing I can say about Bryan.

Ok some people dislike Daniel Bryan. But what about Daniel Bryan the human being?? We don't talk about his gimmick, we don't talk about his work, we don't talk about his promos, we don't talk about his look, we don't talk about his political ideas, his religion or aspirations in life. Can we all agree that Daniel Bryan the man is a good human being? I mean he didn't rape children or killed animals, I think we can all agree that he's a good human being? Or a human being at all?

I'm surprised Boo! hasn't shown up in this thread yet. I don't dislike him as much as his fans who prefer to shut down debate and name-call whenever someone dares to suggest that maybe he's not as mainstream and over as Coca-Cola or McDonalds yet. Even very moderate criticism on here gets the same reaction as you'd get from my little sister if you said you thought One Direction weren't very good.

His in-ring work is amazing, but I never liked his mic work.

I like him, but I am not a fan of how theyre using Brie and Him being married IRL in the storylines and stuff. I feel like it cheapens him, to me anyways. I like him as a lone wolf style guy, whenever someone gets paired up with a manager/valet/etc. I feel it kinda cheap even if theyre married/an item IRL. I think Bryan is fantastic tho If they didn't want to acknowledge their relationship, they shouldn't have put Bryan on Total Divas. I see nothing wrong with Brie and Bryan's marriage being included in angles. Aside from not being able to "market" Bryan as eye candy for women and gay men or do romantic angles with the Divas, I don't see their relationship being acknowledged on screen as a detriment. It's to his detriment because, to me at least, anything involving a Bella twin is nearly definitely going to be incredibly lame!

I'm fan of the guy. But he's definitely not above criticism.
Hopefully with his neck getting worked on, he'll finally stop doing the Chris Benoit Memorial Headbutt.

Even very moderate criticism on here gets the same reaction as you'd get from my little sister if you said you thought One Direction weren't very good. Hmmm, I remember you saying that how over he was with the live crowd and the hostile reactions to his poor booking were irrelevant and didn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, it was all down to Bryan not making as much money for WWE as Batista which isn't quite the same as what you're saying now. While I said crowds in open revolt due to Daniel Bryan situation would weaken WWE's negotiating position with the TV companies as advertisers don't want to be associated with a product that's viewed that negatively. I don't think that's shutting down debate or name calling. I'm guessing recent stock-market reaction to the new TV deal and JR's comments about TNA back-up how important live crowds are. www.tnainsider.com/jim-ross-blasts-impact-zone-fans/I've cherry picked the example below as I quoted you on the subject directly, sorry I know that's not really fair (especially as I cut off the part of my response) and you made plenty of valid points elsewhere. officialfan.proboards.com/thread/490753/crowd-royal-rumble

This is true, I just dislike romantic angles in wrestling. I disliked the whole AJ Lee thing too so, idk. It doesnt deter from him but seeing him on stage standing around while brie does the yes chants, is just annoying to me. But then again, if I married a fine piece like one of the bellas id probably parade it around too

I'm not a fan. Sure, the guy can work in the ring, no doubt about that. However I just am not a fan. I appreciate his hard work and determination to get where he is at this point. I like a good, well written story like Bryan has gone through and it was cool to see him win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. In fact, it was a cool moment having him stand on the turnbuckles and see the fans interact with him as he was doing his YES! chants. Nothing against Daniel Bryan, he's a cool guy and has talents that aren't seen in today's WWE. But at the end of the day, like I said, I think he's a outstanding worker and in-ring performer, but Daniel Bryan doesn't do anything for me.

There's multiple people on here who like to say that Bryan's catch phrase is over, and he isn't, which is just... ridiculous. I do wonder if they're the same people who say 'anyone would get over with the Ryback push' despite countless wrestlers proving that isn't true at all.
