On the one hand, I'm glad he finally moved on from the Green moniker.
On the other hand, after his Ashes explanation for staying Green, this feels weird. Also, I hate that outfit and feel, just like the current look for the new Worker Ant, it's ugly and doesn't quite gel with Fire's outfit.

On the one hand, I'm glad he finally moved on from the Green moniker. On the other hand, after his Ashes explanation for staying Green, this feels weird. Also, I hate that outfit and feel, just like the current look for the new Worker Ant, it's ugly and doesn't quite gel with Fire's outfit. I agree with this, the timing feels INCREDIBLY awkward.
I don't mind Green finding a new identity, but right with AssailANT becoming Worker? It feels like it's taking away from his Thunder. And there was absolutely no Build for it. Why Silver Ant? Why now? Why would you have that moment with Equinox III where he basically embraced the Green Ant name just to throw it away for "Silver Ant"?
I mean maybe I'll get used to it... but for right now, it just doesn't make sense to me. Timing just felt way off

I am dead set against Green's name change. It no longer meant "rookie", he'd made it his own. It's not like there's isn't enough ant-confusion for the casual observer without this shit.
I would rather they had pulled the plug on making him the new Worker rather than changing their mind at this rate. At least it would have made sense and had been foreshadowed rather than out of left field like this.
Like CJB, I can get used to it, I just don't see the point. At all.
