Can't believe I have to endure a month of Adrian Chiles. Seriously ITV, piss off. He's the best they could do? Oh come on, like the rest of us you are just waiting for Roy Keane to finally snap...

Try not to be sucked in by Qualifying form. I remember backing the Serbia and Montenegro team in Germany 2006, because they had really solid defence during qualifying.
Come World Cup. Wins: 0, draws: 0, loses: 3... goals against: 10! 10 in three matches!
Boy I felt stupid.

I know I laughed when Adrian pointed out Keane missed out on a champions league final, I was expecting fire after that.

Even that won't ruin the World Cup for me I really can't wait! I'm surprised that so many people think England will struggle to get out the group, I know we always make it hard so ourselves but if we're switched on we could make it out without a loss. Uruguay aren't that great, one of there first choice centre halves has just been released by West Bro & they were poor against Northern Ireland over the weekend I think for overall winner, I favour one of the big South American teams, leaning more toward Argentina tbh with Aguerro shining. Might have a cheeky few quid on each

SBS and probably it's secondary channel SBS2 will be once again showing the event into Australia.
Don't know the announcer line up.. Hopefully Martin Tyler will be going much of the matches again.

I see Rossi has been left out of Italy's final squad. Great news for England. Sad for Rossi though. He has rotten luck with major international tournaments. This is three in a row where he's been close but not quite there.

Marco Reus down and injured.
Too many injuries to great players. This is getting bad.

I find it interesting that Sports Illustrated and ESPN The Magazine have the same finals (Brazil/Argentina), but opposite results (SI's backing Argentina, ESPN Brazil).
As for me, I'll lose my damn mind if the US somehow escapes group play (ESPECIALLY if it includes a win over Ghana), but outside of the usual patriotism, I'm pulling for Argentina. I do have a few sleeper picks, namely Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland advancing to the Knockout Round. I think B&H looked good in qualifiers, and Switzerland, despite not really being worthy of a top 8 seed, is a very talented side. If nothing else, I could see them doing some damage in group play.

Funny you say "this time", since they haven't missed a World Cup in over 30 years.

I was hoping that during a Champions League match, Chiles would say something dumb, Keane would take a deep breath and lunge for him The camera shot would switch to "ITV One Currently Experiencing Technical Issues", then a testcard screen, followed by a jump cut back to the studio where Keane would have Chiles in a chokehold, holding him hostage and demanding they replace him with someone more qualified.

England vs Honduras suspended after 22 minutes at 0-0 because of a thunderstorm. Match stopped for 30 minutes.
