Dear God, RVD jobbing to Adrian Neville? RVD, please retire. I don't care if you're jobbing to Barrett and Cesaro on Raw, but when you start jobbing to rookies on NXT, it's time to call it a day. From what I've seen of Neville he really isn't anything great, just a guy that can't make up his mind whether to have an indie spotfest or a WWE style match. Dude wouldn't even sniff the IC/US titles on the main roster.

I think you actually have them confused as I cannot remember Neville going indie spotfest or RVD do anything worth remembering in the last decade.

Yeah, the only real flippy thing Neville does is the Red Arrow, and that's impressive because of his size

Charlotte beat Natalya and it didn't make Natalya look bad, it made Charlotte look that much better and maybe that fits for this match, we won't be able to tell until it airs.

Was Younger refing on the show, do we know? He ref'd the Big Cas/Lefort match and the opening dark match. He wasn't bad either. Very vocal.

Dude wouldn't even sniff the IC/US titles on the main roster. Adrian Neville is about the furthest thing from "indie spotfest" there is. Yes Neville does flips and can fly, but his stuff generally makes sense in his matches. He doesn't do stuff just for the sake of doing it aside from a flashy high flying finisher that not a lot of people could pull off. Neville is one of a small group of wrestlers these days that are proficient at all things in the ring. I'd say his promos are also improving greatly. I think in Neville's case, he may be in the process of being groomed as the RVD-esque high flyer of the roster and Rob probably thought nothing of putting him over. Say what you will about Neville (a 10 year pro) being a rookie, but Rob Van Dam and the majority of the roster likely consider him a peer worth building up. I also think that you're completely wrong about Neville not "sniffing the IC/US titles on the main roster", but we shall see. Edit: One other thought I have to add to this piece of business. NXT is basically the Triple H show. He runs everything from top to bottom. Neville got signed after William Regal showed Hunter a match involving Neville from New Japan. Neville wouldn't be in the position he is right now if one of the most influential people in WWE didn't see something in him. When Vince hands the full operations of the company over to Hunter and Steph, guys like Neville will be much more prominent, and will more than likely be the standard of what an athlete employed by WWE should be.
