I was really hoping for a great big All-Star season because for the love of God, it's your fifteenth year on the air and 30th season in total! I'm willing to give this a fair shake, but this looks kinda dumb so far.

So they're unemployed by choice? There's gonna be some interesting personalities on that tribe.

Sometimes this show, ERRRR, Jeff Probst, really out thinks himself. If the season is great then that'll be awesome, but it will be overcoming a lame concept.

I kinda like it. DOn't think a teacher qualifies as blue collar if I heard correctly. If anything there will be A LOT of personality.

They're stretching their asses off, looking for twists.

It's not a terrible idea. They've selected tribes based on race before, which got huge backlash before it aired

I don't know if I am the only one, but with the exception of Philippines over Caramoan, I tend to enjoy the Spring seasons more than the Fall ones in the same television year (SEP-MAY) So I expect good things since this was lackluster

Ultimately, I don't love the twist, since it smacks of another random social experiment season like Fiji or Cook Islands or even Cagayan, where the gimmicky division of tribes ultimately doesn't end up mattering all that much to the actual game itself. But as long as it's a fairly traditional season (i.e., no Redemption Island or specially powered idols), I don't have any problems with this twist whatsoever. This is only a way to add some flavor to the otherwise dry early portion of the game, I think.

okay I just laughed while lurking on survivorsucks about next season. Someone left the comment of "Watching the no-collars go through withdrawl will be fun."
February can't come soon enough

Nat won. As she should. Though she took an unneeded risk in saving jax. It might possibly of gone complete landslide without Baylor/missy being on the tribal to auto vote their loved one.
Keith didn't play that good of a game, imo. Good at challenges, but really drug along as a pawn. He never really was responsible for him avoiding his own lynch outside the immunities. Had he and Natalie been up there together and he won, it would of been out of spite.
Jax upset that other's "succeeding in being fake" when she/jon did it in several times while they "sat in the middle" was lol.
Final tribal: - I tire of people asking the same questions.. (re: Jon/Josh). Lack of attention. How easy would it of been to say "What OTHER move were you responsible for, just so we know you aren't relying on the one decision to carry you to a million dollars?"
- People also need to get over being lied to. Happens every season and someone is always shocked/hurt by it.
- People also need to stop trying to use "played the game with integrity" during final tribal. I cannot think of a single instance that has worked where they didn't get called out on it.
- Reeds summation was a bit overboard. Not really a fan of people using it as a platform to vent their frustrations with how they weren't able to make it to the end.
Overall.. This season was fun for me. Lots of "which way will this go" for me. And the moment I thought the next few weeks were going to be dull, bam, blindsides start happening.
To me, Jon was the clear favorite the moment Jon/Jeremy went out. Had no one done anything, I would be complaining about no one doing anything to stop it. Natalie pulled the trigger where so many past players failed. Want an example? Rob. The last 6-7 episodes were very predictable. Even though rob deserved the win, it made me lose interest. Its like they were handing him a million dollars.
This is in the upper 50% for me.
BTW... did they have a fan vote winner? I don't remember seeing it.
New Season: I love survivor every season. So will be watching regardless.
This isn't that gimmicky to me, tho. Just a specific player pool they are pulling from. Tho I can see the free spirits not getting a shelter together in time, I don't really think it will be that different than a standard season.

And as far as next season there should be a tribe swap/dissolving of a tribe somewhere down the line so the gimmick probably wont be around all that long

No fan vote because I guess Sprint isn't making much ad money from those horrible smartphones they pawned off on the 'phone a loved one at home' reward challenges. Which wouldn't really make sense in a Blood v Water season anyways.
I had to agree with Natalie's final jury opening when she said that Jax and Missy should have voted her out if they wanted to win. I think her saying that was all kinds of awesome, simultaneously getting Keith's vote ("you were the better player if only you played better" lol) and telling the rest of the jury that Natalie as Sole Survivor made the only sense since it was her hail mary Immunity Idol save to Jax that outplayed Jon's wife enough to where she felt beholden to save Natalie in spite of knowing that she probably wouldn't win sitting next to her. Brilliant.
But she kinda took a Boston Rob route since she's an Amazing Race alum and is more used to these reality tv games, still where it backfired on Nadia it worked in Natalie's favor so I can't really criticize the win too much. They had their chance to get her eliminated multiple times, especially the penultimate tribal council and I sorta blame the 'let's have all females in the final 3!!11 Yay Girlz Powahhh!11' mentality that Jaclyn and Missy fell into quite a bit for that blunder.
Next season should be interesting. I'm hazarding a guess that the white collars will dominate if they haven't all been taken out pre-merge.

I could *not* stop laughing at Alec's listening face. I swear, the editors left those shots on him a beat or two longer because of how stupid he looked.

I could *not* stop laughing at Alec's listening face. I swear, the editors left those shots on him a beat or two longer because of how stupid he looked. my mom and i were doing his inner dialogue throughout the whole final tribal. things that went through his head: "isn't it weird when like, you do laundry, and you swear you put a pair of socks in, but you only get one sock back? like, where does the other one go?' "for a long time i thought i was on Lost, but i didn't see a smoke monster, or Hurley." (reed goes on about missy being an evil stepmom) "speaking of stepmoms, isn't it weird when you're like, in the shower, and then your stepmom joins you for no reason?"
