Oh boy... lol well that didn't take long To be fair, it's been three months. I've only listened to a couple of Jericho's podcasts but he doesn't seem to be a very direct and challenging interviewer. I wonder if he'll challenge DeMott on any of the things he's been accused of or whether it'll be an hour of them agreeing, "yeah, kids are too soft in this business these days."

Yeah, just saw he's having DeMott on. Because Jericho involving himself in this went so well for him last time.

I really enjoyed Jesse Ventura last week. What a great podcast guest. I would happily listen to a part 2 of that one. OF course Kevin Owens was a great one too. Enjoyed Owens as well, just come across as a down to earth guy who loves his family and enjoys wrestling. Just listened to the Finn Balor one so i'm late on that but damn did not know he was 33. Way good shape for someone that spent all that time in Japan and don't look beat up.

So has anyone listened to Demott? I assume it was just him saying it was all lies and blaming the internet and maybe talking about how different things were "back in the day"?

So has anyone listened to Demott? I assume it was just him saying it was all lies and blaming the internet and maybe talking about how different things were "back in the day"? Listened to it, they really didn't touch on it too much and Jericho basically just let Demott give his side of the story. Not a bad listen and they aren't combatative about anything. He tells his side of the story and neither comes off poorly. I would say that it is a really good listen and he admits to things and neither trashes anyone over agreeing or not agreeing. It is a basic Jericho podcast in that he lets Demott tell the story and he give a few comments. No hard hitting questions or anything. If you listen to Jericho it is in the same style of every podcast he's ever done. If you enoy his usual ones you will probably enjoy this as well. If you prefer the Stone Cold style then it would be best to skip. To shorten it up a bit, paraphrase and to give you best I can remember: Jericho mentioned he's known Demott for years from Japan and Mexico which is why he took up for him. Demott said that he believes wrestling is extremely grueling and in order to make it you have to be able to be pushed mentally and physically. Said that some would complain about working out 5 days a week, especially after having a late night due to work. Said that they have to understand that once you become a wrestler you are going to have nights like that. Jericho mentioned wrestling in Buffalo one night, travelling right after to Wilkes-Barre, arriving there and getting a last second notice that you have a 6am meeting. Being expected to be at that meeting at 6am and still be there at your expected time at the taping/arena. Jericho said that he has never seen Demott train anyone and took his back because he knew him for a long time and believes he is a good guy. Said that he knew the hell he went through while training and didn't think much of the complaints due to his experiences because compared to what he, and others he knew like Lance, went through the complaints didn't seem that bad. Demott said that he pushed people based upon how he felt they needed to be pushed physically and mentally in order to make it. Wanted the Developmental Center to be a place that if you made it there then you could make it anywhere. Said that he tried to push them and that apparently what he did wasn't acceptable. Despite that he is still proud of his work at developmental because he has had a lot of people he trained and helped through developmental and feels that it was a minority of workers who complained about him. Said that while he said stuff that was negative (I won't post profanities) that it wasn't constantly blasting them. That he was doing that to push them mentally and not baby them. That he feels if a director told an actor to stop acting like a "p-word" on set they wouldn't walk off, they would go back and nail the scene to prove the director wrong. He doesn't feel he pushed them to hard or abused them. Said the "jelly donut" incident was supposed to be fun and basically just build morale. Said that ever since he was involved in wrestling they have always done things like that and had a very different sense of humor in the wrestling world. Looking back probably wasn't the best idea but it wasn't done to humiliate anyone, just to have fun. Surprised him when the complaint came about it because it came out 4 years after it happened. Demott said he felt that the ones who always complained wouldn't make it in wrestling and were the ones who didn't last. Said he was always the "bad guy" or mean guy in camp and he was OK with that. Mentioned Full Metal Jacket and said that he looked at it like a drill sergeant. That its OK to be that guy and he feels that because he was the bad guy he got more of a rep of being that guy because of who he was. Doesn't feel any ill will towards HHH and doesn't feel there is any animosity. Understands why he had to leave and holds no bad feelings about anything. Really likes the performance center and NXT and loves watching the guys there and seeing guys he helped train succeed. Said he would like to show people he isn't a bad guy. Jericho said that he still thinks Demott is a good guy and considers him a friend. Demott said that the people in NXT need to be patient and that they have a full-time job and considers them as part of the full-time (or main) roster. Guys like Zayn, Owens and Uhaa Nation had to work twice as hard to make it in NXT because they came in with reputations they had to live up to. Thinks the opportunity is there for anyone in NXT if you really want to then you have the opportunity there to make it. Jericho ended it saying that he considers Demott a friend and glad he was able to give him a chance to tell his side of the story or at least what Demott thinks what happened "in his mind.

That he feels if a director told an actor to stop acting like a "p-word" on set they wouldn't walk off, they would go back and nail the scene to prove the director wrong. So unbelievably dumb. Demott's sole film credit is The Waterboy, no idea how he thinks a film set is supposed to work. Not sure if a director calling an actor a racial slur would really bring out their best performance you know?

An actor could get complimented and still walk off set.

The DeMott podcast was not my favorite. I get where they are coming from, but that doesn't mean they're right.
Vanilla Ice was a fun interview. So was Renee Young.
I just finished listening to Khali. He was adamant that he could still work a one hour match. Well OK then.

I listened to the Vanilla Ice one last week, was a lot more interesting than I had expected it to be. He's a cooler dude now than he was way back when I was in high school.
I'll only listen to Khali if Ranjin is there doing his old "The Great Khali says..." bit.

Listing to the Big Show one now. Once again Paul Wight is engaging and charming and I wonder why WWE writers have to ruin every single talent who has any level of charisma.

Show making fun of the creative team, and how sometimes he can't remember "Am I a good guy or a bad guy today?" has to be one of the most upfront reasons why this company is in the shape it is.
Of course, Big Show is a fun dude. Loved that story about his rib on Vince, and how the Boss got him back.

Just listened to today's with Tyson and Nattie, great Hart family stories in this one especially the creative meeting the night before the Vince/Bret match at Mania.

The Tyson and Nattie episode is stellar. For those that normally don't do Jericho's podcast, this is one to catch anyways. Just great stories.
