All I know is that I get overly sensitive to supposedly normal things that are too anthropomorphized since I got my daughter a talking toy parrot for Christmas that was clearly possessed Chuckie-style. Seriously, that talking toy parrot said something to my wife and I when we were putting it together Christmas morning that clearly wasn't on its list of programmed phrases and it said it at a time that could not have made it any clearer that it meant to say it. See, we were sitting on the floor in our room putting it and its stand together right after waking up. My wife was still only wearing the T-shirt she wore to bed when she picked the bird up and turned it upside down to put something onto its claws. This placed the toy's face in a position where it was pointed at my wife's uncovered bajingo (remember, only a T-shirt). It was at this point that the bird said something that was not in its list of programmed phrases. What did it say? "Ooh, gross!" That's right. Not only was it possessed; it was possessed by a gay spirit. After that point I became leery of anything that seemed too human-like. You are aware that everybody stopped paying attention once you mentioned your wifes cooch was uncovered right?

Don't ever talk smack about The Fry Guys again. Jay Leno would like a word with you.

I mean it in the way that sooo many people use it for anything remotely different or peculiar in the slightest bit And you did make a fun post with a good point. "Creepy" is one of those overused words everyone seems to use, but I know you were only using it as an example here

The box with a generic face just lacks imagination and is just stupid. I agree, although considering it veers a little into Uncanny Valley territory with its weird ass smile, I can see how some would be unnerved.

Why are we ragging on Mac Tonight? As a kid I wondered why he wasn't the official mascot, he was way cooler than Ronald.

The box was just a really weird and off picture. Once they animated it and basically just showed it as "fast food minion" it just became uncreative. My exact complaints on it. The still images were creepy as sin, but seeing it animated has me thinking that it's just annoying. And really really stupid.
