And sad to see Alan Hansen doing his last broadcast before retiring. I'm biased but I've always liked him as a pundit. Now the Liverpool legend on the BBC is Mark Lawrenson and I've had more entertaining shits.

Just amazing. It's finally over, and what a match it was.
Messi should've been Player of the Tournament... that Argentina team didn't belong, yet he may be treated like a goat.

So this means Germany will not only be the #1 team next ranking, but they also have a spot in the 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia. Lets see in 3 years if they win that one as well.

Great World Cup, sad that it's over....but at least it means we're just a month away from the new Premier League season. May it get here quickly!

So... see you all next October for the first bunch of Oceania qualifiers? Hello? New Zealand will win it, and then pull a Mr. Kennedy and be stupid enough to be goaded into putting their qualifier on the line and then lose it.

Messi was the only reason really that Argentina was in the finals. He was like Elway on the Broncos for years. Yes, in team sports, one player can get you to the finals, but they can't get you the title in the end. Messi in a way did deserve the Golden Ball for getting the team all the way to the finals on his back, but it is still going to be an empty trophy for him as he would much rather have that other trophy in a heartbeat.

Argentinan coach started his interview by giving excuses and saying the result is only secondary. Yet, had they won, we would've never heard the end of it.
And so the best team in the tournament takes it home. Amazing World Cup with an amazing winner.
