If Sheamus wins the battle royal, that might be the lamest way ever to unify two titles. I agree. I do want to see them unified though, having both is a bit superfluous. I miss the days of the US title being a fashion accessory for Ambrose. I was perfectly fine with that. The US title has a rich history but a poor future.

Prior to Sheamus' title win, I would agree, but since he's won it, it's come across to me as a much more important thing, that I'm hoping should the titles get unified, he'd keep the US. Belt looks a lot better, at any rate.

It really looks like thats the direction they are going with Sheamus. Give it to Cesaro I say.

I think they should keep the two titles separate, with the US Title being just below the IC TItle.
I thought it was neat how they could hype the US Title match for the 4th of July. If only they would make it important more than once a year.
I think the WWE's title picture should match Punch-Out's:
US Title=minor circuit IC Title=major circuit World title=world circuit

Can someone tell me why are they wasting big matches on goddamn Battleground? Because they might WANT people to watch Battleground? Honestly, it's looking like a damn good card at the moment.

The card does look good. But you'd think matches like Ambrose/Rollins and Jericho/Bray would be kept for a big event like Summer Slam.

Perhaps, but I think this goes a way towards trying to resolve the catch-22 of booking these lesser PPVs. The only way they're ever going to matter is if they put high quality, much anticipated matches on there.

Also, I'm pretty damn sure that Ambrose/Rollins is going to end in a no contest or Rollins wins via DQ because of Ambrose going batshit insane on him and ignoring the ref.
BAM! Street Fight for Summerslam.

I think we're getting Jericho/Wyatt & Ambrose/Rollins rematches at Summerslam. I'm not particularly fond of immediate PPV rematches, but, for these two feuds, I'm perfectly happy with it.

I'm sticking to my guns and not ordering this PPV, I'm waiting for Summerslam but atm it looks like Summerslam will be a bunch of rematches. Don't know why WWE are giving these matches away on this PPV unless they have some other plans. I doubt that though.

For what it is worth, if I was booking creatively rather than looking at financial logic Id have had Miz facing Y2J instead (cue creepy interference by the Wyatts to set up Summerslam vs Jericho)
And billed a Tag match as the Final official match up for the Shield against Rollins & Orton (that way saving Ambrose v Rollins until Summerslam)
This would mean I also have Cena v Kane as the Championship match by default.
I know it wouldn't make the best business sense but it would build up a few high profile Summerslam matches by keeping them fresh.

Look at this way.
They're setting the stage for Paige/AJ, Bray/Jericho and Rollins/Ambrose to have more personal matches at Summerslam.
...I don't know what that means for Battleground though. I'm guessing the road agents can book a multi-PPV series of matches.

"Come on WWE who is going to pay and watch this crap" 2) WWE adds big matches to Battleground? "Come on WWE why are you wasting this match on a B-PPV and not save it for Summerslam" Sometimes you can't win.

I get what you're saying but to me it's not: "They should happen on SummerSlam not that B-show". I've said that Rollins vs Ambrose and Wyatt vs Jericho should be SummerSlam matches not because they shouldn't be on a B-show but because I know damn well that it's a situation where if these feuds are blown off so soon it's a waste of potential and if they're NOT blown off at Battleground we're in for indecisive clusterf**ks and re-treads of the same matches at SummerSlam. How's that for a one (long ass) sentence explanation?

I imagine the only way I'm watching this show is I have nothing else to do that night - outside of Usos / Wyatts nothing on it really interests me (I love Rollins and Ambrose, but it's like with the Hardys, I really just have no desire to see them fight). Especially that main event, that just sounds awful.
That being said, if there's any justice in this world Bo will win the battle royal. Though I'd say more likely based on the build is it comes down to Kofi and Cesaro and Kofi wins it then fights off Cesaro trying to murder him again afterward.
