To go back further - Saba Simba.
The Booker T angle going into WMXIX is probably the most top-card offensive thing they've done.

Melanie Pillman the day after Brian passed away, that is all.

As a long time fan, WWE's blatant revisionist history borders on offensive sometimes. There have been many, many times I've watched a documentary or something and said "No, that's not what actually happened at all!" It's a pretty big insult to those who have been watching for more than a few years.

Eddie. Not because they used that for a payoff, because I'm okay with that as long as you only do it once(see Bret vs Benoit). My issue with it was the gross overexposure every week multiple times a week for half a year. No pun intended, but you can only beat a dead horse so much before it becomes disgusting.

Not going to try to think of an "oh-so-clever" snark answer.
It's Eddiesploitation, it'll probably always be Eddiesploitation.

*Black babyface gets told that people like him shouldn't be world champion* *Black babyface loses title match* EAD WWE. But yeah, it was pretty rough. The Trish thing didn't bother me because it was probably the best way to turn Trish, who to that point was a heel with a lot of heat, face, making a genuinely uncomfortable, despicable way to treat her, that the "sex kitten" character she had still had dignity and deserved more than she was getting from Vince.

That the Con Man was never world champion I mean he was a sight to see and I believe the whole world would just look at him too

It's a pretty big insult to those who have been watching for more than a few years. We're dealing with carnies, and history is written by the victors. It sucks, but if WCW won, you'd be seeing DVDs about how Austin was trying too hard to be cool and that Terra Ryzin never amounted to shit. "Stuck a thousand socks down his drawers, never put asses in the seats."

Vince wanted to remove WWE from any negative press, I guess he was in jackass mode that night, but the things he asked like 'How will you now support your kids?' or 'So, Brian had a problem with painkillers through out his life'. This was Vince's first death on his roster at the time so I'd like to think it was down to that and not knowing what to do, but I somehow doubt it.

See, this is why they can't get good sponsors, and WWE was hoping for that big increase and they thought because live sports was getting big money, that they could do the same. And in all honesty, they probably could have done the same, if it wasn't for the fact that many people are embarrassed to be seen 50 feet near anything WWE. And I know sadly we all have had those moments where something really stupid is going on, and someone we know walks in and thinks we're insane because we watch this stuff.
And what really bugs me, what really just drives me up the wall is people who accept the shit and say, it's just wrestling, turn your brain off. No, I want to keep my brain on and I'd like to see something good and interesting instead of a guy spiking someone's coffee and then someone gets thrown up on. But, if they had Daniel Bryan vs Cesaro, and a lot more stuff like that and it was dramatic and it was this excellent piece of work, I can honestly see WWE getting better sponsors and more money, because you put on something like that and any person who doesn't like wrestling can at least appreciate what's going on with a match like that.
Anyway, the Pillman's wife thing was really tasteless because they were doing backflips trying to convince people that they weren't complacent. They ask her how she didn't know about his problems even though he works for them on a regular basis. The Katie Vick thing though I feel is the "jump the shark" moment for professional wrestling as a whole, and that was even after everything Mark Henry did in 1999.

The most offensive thing the WWE has done? Change wrestling to something else it is now.
Where is the blading, the violence, the bullying, the real storylines filled with cursing and emotions, the putting women in danger and having men wrestle to win their favor, etc?
The old school carny aspect is what first made wrestling special and the WWE is taking that away.

Which makes it all the more deplorable.

Honestly, I'd say that the way WWE has most offended me personally throughout the years is by assuming that I, as a wrestling fan, must enjoy the lowest of the low-brow humor like fake vomit and feces getting dumped on people.

*Black babyface gets told that people like him shouldn't be world champion* *Black babyface loses title match* EAD WWE. This. Great storyline if Booker won. But of course, bizarrely, he didn't.

Not much offends me. Certainly nothing done on a scripted wrestling show.
