The promo where he just started speaking in Tongue in the UK was pretty amazing if you ask me.
I disagree... I thought that was a great promo up until he started the speaking in tongues stuff which took me right the hell out of it.

I just thought it really showed how insane Bray Wyatt could get. How the guy can be so calm, cool, and collected, and then the next minute just completely lose his shit.
I do get how people could dislike it though, but if we're talking about memorability, well, that may be one of his most memorable promo moments.

So most of his great promos happened on NXT or Smackdown? If you want a memorable one from RAW, the FIRST TIME he did the whole Choir thing against Cena I thought was pretty cool as well
How they followed up with it? No. Not at all. Good build to the Disappointing Cage Match though.

I don't agree with the "his promos make no sense" mindset.
First off, he's supposed to be full of shit. Not only is he a heel, he's a maniac and a cult leader.
Secondly, he sticks to a few key concepts and is pretty consistent with them.
Third, he references things he brings up in past promos, sometimes expanding on the ideas.
Even if his promos make absolutely no sense to you, it's a breath of fresh air when compared to "I'LL KICK YOUR ARSE FELLA" or "YALL DONT HAVE TO CHEER ME BUT I KNOW YALL RESPECT ME"

Wyatt bores me to tears. Dude's all sizzle and no steak, none of his promos make a lick of sense. If his first major feud was with anybody but Cena the crowd would have already started to turn on him. I really enjoyed early on this year when they were just doing run-ins and attacking people, but the whole "He's an evil cultist...SCARY!" thing is wearing really thin. Just for comparison, let's look at the Lana/Zeb segment that was also on last night. Very simple, nothing fancy, but both made their points really obvious (Rusev isn't enough of a man to face Swagger; America is stupid, weak and ineffectual) and the crowd got really into it. What I don't like about Wyatt's promos is that a cultist or any other "religious" character should NEVER be confusing. A spiritual message should be something that is either very simple ("Believe or else!") or something that is spiritually empowering. Wyatt just kind of babbles along about heroes and monsters but he doesn't actually have a real solution for any of it except randomly attacking people. Like...Cena. What was the point? Cena's moved on to bigger and better things and Wyatt is just kind of sputtering about like nothing happened. What kind of faith is that?

HHH must have taught him the art of taking a long time to say nothing.
I feel if Wyatt kept 3/4 of his normal weekly promos to 3 lines or less and only rambled on when it was important for the storyline I'd feel different. At the moment, Bray talking is essentially the equivalent of Cole shilling the WWE Network in my brain. Except Cole will shill for 30 seconds and Bray will babble for eternity. Although it's likely Cole shills for at least twice as long. Just feels like Bray takes forever.
*shrugs* We all have stuff we don't like. Bray's my cure for insomnia.

Right now, from my perspective, Ambrose and Bray are really the only two go-to "promo guys." And...that kinda sucks. It puts a lot of pressure on them to pick up the slack of guys who are booked into being shitty comedians. Given that, they're probably just going to stick with whatever got them over in the first place.

I guess I'm just a miserable bastard, but it feels so good knowing that I'm no longer alone in loathing the Bray Wyatt character. When he starts talking or makes any sort of appearance, my hand instantly reaches for the remote.
Much like Roman Reigns, I honestly don't know what they see in him. Hell, I can't think of a Bray Wyatt match I've enjoyed outside of the one he had with Daniel Bryan at the Royal Rumble. For me, the whole gimmick is just flat-out annoying.
Vince Russo loves him. That should tell you everything you need to know.

... It's starting isn't it? This must be how Reigns fans feel. It "started" as soon as some of us decided that we don't really enjoy Bray's promos. What I'm saying isn't anything new. I've been saying his promos are kind of weak for a long time now. It's not because of his speaking ability. The content is just sorely lacking.

Eh. Has anyone really cut an intentionally memorable promo lately? I can't think of any. I got nothing since Punk left. There probably have been many great promos since then (look at Ambrose for example), but none immediately pop up in my head. The most immediate promo I can think of is Punk's "arms too short to box with God" promo.

They may not be tripping over their words like Miz (another promo fav here for some reason) but I don't find them even remotely convincing.

It's more-so the volume of it, Bray has always had his detractors but now the ball is gaining momentum. I have to disagree with the idea that the content of his promos is lacking though, I personally always get something out of them and feel they make sense 95% of the time. Though Bray is my favourite thing in wrestling right now so I'm completely biased.
