Howdy Ho, Recently I have read on the forums a lot about wrestling newz sites, which refers to faulty websites that promote news stories, but are seen in low regard. This year I began posting wrestling columns, which is far different from writing news as no information is mentioned of what will happen, but rather just analyzes events already performed, some of which can have happened as many as fifty or more years ago. However these columns are often written on the same sites that have news stories. So my question is how do you determine what is a newz site and what is a respectable wrestling website? Regardless of replies I am going to post, where I am going to post, but wanted to get some feedback on what exactly is considered legitimate on the IWC. I have my opinion on the matter, but a lot of the sites I feel are legitmiate, I write for and do not want this post to come off as an advertisement, That's what my sig is for Feel free to use specific websites as examples of either legitimate or newz sites.

PWInsider is very legit. I've gotten news from them since earlier this year. No, they aren't always right, but they are accurate and reliable much more than not.

As much as I despise the guy that runs it, The Observer is where a TON of the "newz" sites get their info from.
A "newz" site is one that never credits it sources and posts "rumors" that have little basis in fact.

Accurate wrestling news begins and ends with The Observer.

4 sites are the best suppliers of wrestling information:
The Observer The Torch The Insider WWE.com
I know people will laugh at the last one because at times they try to work fans, but if something legit happens and it comes from WWE.com, it's usually true. The other sites don't use worked angles as much as wwe.com, but they also have the third hand information, which sometimes is true and sometimes is blown out of proportion. Usually the latter.
