Awesome...I'd love to see them live someday. I've seen very little ska live. I'd also really like to see Streetlight Manifesto...they're probably my favourite ska band. Them and Edna's Goldfish, but they're not around anymore.

Them and Edna's Goldfish, but they're not around anymore. Edna's is Really good, sadly their not around anymore Streetlight is becoming a new Scene band and is getting a lot of negative feedback from the hardcore Ska-kids, especially since they completly covered Keasby Nights, since the original was so badass kinda like Cena. Everybody loved Keasby Nights by Catch 22(Cena freestyling rapping) and than when tomas kaloneky started Streetlight everybody was like "Yeah cool, the original Catch Singer is back"(Cena turning face). than they comeplelty re-recorded an album that should have never been touched (SUPER-CENA) and now a lot of people don't like them. me personally, i wish they would release new stuff, but I would still go see them live. even though theirs a rediculous amounts of Scenesters that go see them

Yeah...scenesters piss me off no matter what genre they happen to be showing up to. I hate it when people are only into a band for scene cred. It just makes me feel sad.
In any case, yeah...Keasby Nights was absolutely great. I actually didn't mind it too much that Streetlight covered it...but to each his own.
I'd still love to go see them live someday.
"Point/Counterpoint" is one of the most fun songs I've ever listened to.

I remeber when everything went numb came out Point/Counterpoint was my favorite song, in fact i might listen to that now
But see I'm hardcore Catch 22 fan, reguardless of how crappy they are. it will always be CXXII>SLM to me, but i admit I like the newer version of Dear Sergio*which my band covered actually* by Streetlight (Or Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution, whichever you prefer)

Point/Counterpoint is just such a blast to sing along to, and the lyrics are great. Yeah, old school C22 is great...always will be. But I still love me some Streetlight.
As for Edna's Goldfish, I just wish they'd been around long enough for me to actually go see them. They were probably the first ska band I really got into...always dug their sound.
"Purple" is probably my favourite track by them.

After Dub came Rocksteady, which is Dub music, except slowed down a little bit and added lyrics. mostly about love and freindship and Unity. but once the Jamacian Govt started becoming all corrupt that when REGGAE began. mostly because Reggae was more political and focused on Religion more than love and Peace, but still maintained the slow upbeat sound. ......

Second Wave Ska came right after the big punk movement in England happened. Before than Jamacian Immagrints came in Droves to england and began working with a lot of the skinheads (blue collar ORIGINAL SKINHEADS) and they began playing their own form of Reggae, which approproatly was called "Skinhead Reggae". a lot of the punkers left over began mixing in with the mods and Skinheads that were playing this music, and 2-tone (Second Wave Ska) started. www.myspace.com/madnessofficialthis band, Madness along with Bands like The Specials, Bad Manners, The English beat and several others began the 2-tone label and began putting out their own form of ska. It was very biug (or so i've been told) in england and hit a little bit in America. 3rd Wave ska is what we hear now. its bands that enjoyed all the flavors of ska, but Mostly combined it with more American Punk bands and came up with Ska-Punk, Ska-core and so on. than their are trad ska revival bands that play the older sounds. and i could go on and on. But anyhow Edna's would be a Ska-Punk Band their dude. Figured i would just teach rather than flame

Definitely appreciate the fact that you're actually not an ass. I run into too many of those people on the internets. Not always directed at me...but regardless...there are way too many people that just immediately flame instead of educating someone on what they like.
You totally win points.
Now if only you'd grow some hair.

How the hell could it cost you a senior picture?
And what the f*** is up with someone who'd break up with you over your hair? That's amazingly lame.
