That's the first time I've ever seen Punk where he sounds truly happy, lol. Usually it's like this snarky half-happiness thing.

Of course he won't, he's not a wrestler.... He's a sports entertainer , he'll put on sports entertainment matches.

Uh....the reason he's on the red carpet at a music award ceremony? That's a stretch, considering how many musicians he's close friends with. And not for being CM punk, but for being Phil. Unless Phil worked as a concert promoter before taking up wrestling, then he met and befriended these musicians through WWE's exposure as CM Punk. If you're a celebrity who's a big fan of another celebrity it's much easier to meet them. Pretty sure him and Lars Frederiksen have been friends long before CM punk blew up as a "celebrity", considering Lars is the front man for Rancid, one of the biggest punk bands out there, I would imagine it wasn't hard for Phil to network out from there.

Not a single word that came out of his mouth sounded genuine.
Though at this point, I don't really care either way.

I'm in tears. That was the most heartfelt and sincere retirement statement of all time.

The dude looks great and seems so happy. Bitter sweet but I'm super glad he is in a better place now.

I never asked him personally to do anything, so don't say he did what he did for me. Besides, we all know he did it for himself. So so long, Punk! Stay gone PLEASE.

Punk in a suit, clean shaven, a wedding ring, and sporting The Macklemore Haircut. I am so conflicted

Not sure I see the big deal that makes him so bad for saying things that have been said 1,000,000 times before and gone back on 998,000 times (all excluding Terry Funk. I cannot deal in numbers that high) and admitting that he'll never live that down should something change.

It's almost like a half joke statement is being taken entirely too seriously.
That or people aren't picking up on his body language, the guy was joking around in a non-arsey way.

Why do you keep calling him Phil? Seriously? Because, I am not referring to the character known as CM punk.

Jesus, why is this still happening? The guy is retired from Pro Wrestling, whether it's temporary or permanent. He clearly doesn't give a shot what anyone thinks about his career, how or why he left, so what's the point of this constant nagging? It's also fairly disturbing to see ANYONE in this day and age with the opinion that wrestlers owe fans anything. They entertain us for as long as they are able. Some people are fans of one person, others aren't. The fact is, though, that the vessel through which they entertain us is hell on their bodies and people have ended up crippled because of it, so why hold it against someone if he wants to get out before that happens to him? HE made his millions, the WWE didn't just hand it over. Punk, like Bryan, had to overcome a LOT to get where he did within a company like WWE.
