The first ranks amongst my 10 favourite horror movies of all time and the second one while not up to par with the first is a decently entertaining sequel....and nothing else....THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE I TELL YA!

They made a sequel to Jarhead?

I would hope for someone with actual talent in making good movies. Apologies if that sounds harsh, but Don Michael Paul's track record isn't much of a jaw dropper (for good reasons).
He wrote and directed Half Past Dead. He wrote and directed Who's Your Caddy. Those two films alone follow you around.
But, sure. If it leads to the other films being marathoned on TV so this thing can premiere, go for it. The original will continue to be better. While you're at it, remind SyFy how badly they screwed up cancelling the daggone TV show.

They made a sequel to Jarhead? Yes, they sadly did.

Oh goodie another pointless reboot to a perfectly good movie that no one asked for.
Also how the f*** could anyone make a sequel to Jarhead hell they might as call it Jarhead 2 Electric Boogaloo because its so downright pointless and lazy.

In the new reboot, Edgar Deems wears more than just that one damn jacket.

I've been wanting more Tremors for years. Yes the first film is above and beyond the rest but they were fun too. And I have been asking for this for years. So yeah some of us want it.

They need to stop all these stupid reboots. I'm so sick of them. Especially when Tim Burton and Rob Zombie do them.

I loved the first film and would actually like to see a remake done, but this guy doesn't sound like he'd be a good director for such a hard-to-classify film.
The beauty of Tremors was that it perfectly balanced horror, comedy and sci-fi by keeping the story small and not overly dramatic (but also not OTT wacky comedic either).

One thing I loved most about the first movie was the practical effects of the worms. a horrid mix of alien yet familiar, slimy yet dry and rough and last of all grotesquely hungry. A CGI worm is going to look like shit unless they dump a ton of money into it. And a direct to TV/DVD/VOD movie isn't going to get that sort of budget. I expect shitty "plastic smooth" worms and people die in the equally crappy "cloud of CGI blood"

El Blanco had a bit of "Sin Cara Shirt" going on at times.
