I actually like both, depending upon the person. Curly can be nice because it's more of a natural look, and can also imply a certain "wild" side. Straight can be quite sexy as well, and is more managable and better to run one's finger's through.
It's really just a roll of the dice.

I chose curly, assuming you would know this did not mean Slightly Electrocuted Hair, also know as Cheap 70's Perm Hair. But a little wave is nice.
