Now science is even trying to make the herbivore dinosaurs uncool?

This is clearly false.
I watched the documentary "Dinosaucers" and I don't remember seeing feathers on any of them.

I read this about a week ago on I f***ing love science. And I though it was interesting that the herbivores had not yet been discovered to have feathers. All science aside the kid in me who loved Jurassic Park refuses to acknowledge feathers on a dino anything.

Science has to spoil everything. Couldn't they just leave Dinosaurs as cool looking, without adding feathers to them

Feather placement would be a deal breaker here. If they had slick, boss ass feathers... Awesome. If they had horrid, chicken like feathers... Not awesome. These scientists need to do their damn job and start bringing them back to life so we can get some accurate information here.

Yeah feathered dinos can be badass.
We have to keep in mind that the majority of our depictions of dinosaurs amounts to little more than stretching muscle and skin over their skeletons. So feathered or not dinosaurs did not look exactly like artists have drawn them. Mainly because they don't really account for say any layers of fat in specific areas.

If we manage to clone dinosaurs in the future,we're gonna have to trim all their feathers. I will not stand for wimpy dinosaurs.

So almost all of the additions to the true science of dinosaurs, though fascinating always really bums me out at the same time. Giant birds just don't carry the same integrity as the raptors from Jurassic park.

Well that's not very scary... More like a...6 ft turkey. Real velociraptors looked nothing like the movie And in the book, Malcolm pointed this out and pretty much criticized Hammond for creating monsters for profit. Hammond was a businessman first, not an advocate for scientific accuracy. Giant scaly reptiles sell more tickets than Big Bird.

Feathers or not, I would say dinosaurs would be pretty intimidating, though I actually embrace feathered dinos.
Even though it actually probably weighed less than an African bull elephant, T-Rex still had the strongest bite we've EVER found an animal in existence to possess. Human biting force is less than 1000 Newtons. T-Rex biting forces would have likely exceeded 37,000 Newtons, going into the 50,000+ range quite possibly, per tooth. The only thing that gives it any competition is if you go with relative bite strength, where stuff like black piranhas may rank higher. If anything, Jurassic Park downplayed its abilities. I don't think anyone's going to think of him as Big Bird, feathers or not.

Plus, there was a grain of truth in my silly Zeb reference post too-- raptors, the birds of prey kind, are cool as hell looking.
