So I was out shopping this afternoon and saw/bought this! {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}  with my Crash doll photobombing in the background Needless to say it was an instant purchase by the name. Damn fine beverage as well, to get me ready for Raw later (that hopefully I will keep awake for this week, damn time differences...) and bonus not sure if serious video game Cena |

Is it just me, or is that Cena model a HUGE step up from recent WWE games? No, it is. New technology plus the fact it's not just THQ rehashing the same game over and over means that we might be getting the first new WWE game in years. |

For comparison, 2K14 Cena: Lolz. Looks like a square-jawed Burgess Meredith. I mentioned it in the WWE games thread, but it appears that the new Cena actually has his own facial normalmap. Which he should, seeing as how this (A) Isn't an open-world sandbox game with thousands of fictional characters, and (B) Isn't a PS2 series anymore. Character models in the old games tended to look very samey, even people with different racial backgrounds (Booker T had the same face shape as Miz who had the same face shape as Mysterio who had the same face shape as Tajiri), since the THQ models didn't have basic human features like cheekbones, dimples, lips and brows. What a difference it makes when you get a dev team that gives a damn. |
