I don't think I've actually read them all the way through but I've skimmed through it a few times when I wasn't sure about something. I had lurked for a few months before I joined anyway. So I couldn't name all the stuff, I got the important ones down.
1. No embedding videos owned by WWE 2. No politics/religion topics (anything super big like elections/new pope will be posted by mods) 3. No flamebaiting/trolling/being a dick 4. Don't ask about custom titles 5. ? 6. Profit!
Not like I post anything that controversial anyways, so unless I'm completely oblivious about a rule I'm violating (which is completely possible) I should be fine.

I've read it upon joining and revisit it every once and a while.

*takes the rulebook, walks into the Mods' bathroom. Lights the book on fire, then drops it in the toilet. Then drops a lit cherry bomb in the toilet and walks out.*
But yeah, I try to keep up to date.

Are you guys sure you read every single rule? Because some of you have just agreed to have your mouths sewn onto somebody else's rear end. And like wise another person's mouth will be sewn on to your rear end.

That cherry bomb went straight down the toilet like a motherf***er.

Have you ever thought about putting something like This post breaks Rule # or This user was warned for this post in posts that break the rules?

Have you ever thought about putting something like This post breaks Rule # or This user was warned for this post in posts that break the rules? We make notes when we modify posts for things like embedding WWE-owned content from youtube. That's if we can salvage the post. More often than not however, for something that involves flaming for example, we have to remove the post.

I read through them every few months, basically just to make sure nothing has changed when I wasn't paying attention

I never read any of them besides the big 4 that are posted everywhere (no religion, no politics, no porn, no embedded videos from unofficial hosts), the forum seems civil enough and the mods aren't too uptight so I don't worry about it. Kind of miffed about the no religion rule though, I would love a fantasy booking thread for the old testament.

Got my first bollocking about a month ago on here, It was unintentional and I did apologise for it.
I have read them and for most part it seems common sence.
Even if Politics and Religion were not banned topics here I would still avoid them anyway as these are things I don't like getting involved in.

I read them every so often to keep up to date, plus being a decent human being helps avoid scrapes like certain words which are banned.

I like that people are pretty honest about it. I obviously read them when I joined, and have several times since then, due to being part of the process when deciding on new rules when needed or when some rules were relaxed due to proboards relaxing on certain things and the rules getting outmoded.
That said, most of you people are pretty good eggs, and most of those who aren't either get banned or eventually burn out when you realize no one wants to put up with that shit.

We make notes when we modify posts for things like embedding WWE-owned content from youtube. That's if we can salvage the post. More often than not however, for something that involves flaming for example, we have to remove the post. I haven't modded/admined/etc too much on Proboards, so I'm not sure on if they have an official warning system. The first (fairly nice sized) forum I admin/modded was on IPB (at that time, and not the free forums, the paid for version) and had a really great warning system. Loved it. Hated it (when I was on the admin part) when a mod would forget to click the "PM/E-Mail Member" box though, because then even though there was a note over why warned, the member didn't get it. -edit- I got off track of what I was originally going to say. That forum was an e-fed community (not an e-fed a place for e-fed owners, and e-fed players to meet up and such) so most of the rules broken revolved around over advertising your fed and such, so it was more common to leave the post, but replace the content with a message explaining why the post was edited.

Hell, they're the reason why I joined. I saw the bans on religious/political talk and flaming, which the last forum I frequented had both of in spades, and a light shone down on this place with Ode To Joy playing in the background.
