I like Lashley's reign so far also, he's got a mouthpiece cutting promos for him and he destroys folks. I could be wrong but I don't think TNA ever had a champ booked like that.

So, am I crazy, or is Lashley pretty awesome lately based on these spoilers? I've not seen any of his stuff in TNA because I'm kinda boycotting TNA due to the Dixie angle but I get the impression that Lashley is over and having good matches (even if he is possibly being carried to them). For once in their lives, TNA is really protecting a worker and booking them to their strengths. Lashley rarely if ever speaks a word (because he suffers from a terrible condition called baby voice) and they give him plenty of chances to just flat out overpower folks since nobody else is close to the same build as him. Are the matches actually any good? I'm tempted to look them up. I always saw something in Lashley even when WWE was overpushing him.

Lashley is the best booked character in wrestling.
He looks like a bad ass, wins clean as a heel, and has MVP do all his talking for him. Perfect way to use him.

Abyss had a cup of coffee as NWA champion, but he and James Mitchell had that dynamic for quite a while. Maybe that's what Abyss needs to get his character back in gear.

The fans seem to give him heat, and the matches seem to have some good spots in them. They're also giving him a constant run of challengers, which is nice. TNA doing something right? Preposterous.

So we're getting f***in' Gunner vs Lashley for the title at Bound for Glory, right?

I definitely have no complaints about how TNA is using Lashley at the moment, and how hard he's working too.

I read on another board that the crowd was chanting "we want wrestling" and "change the channel" during a Rockstar Spud comedy segment, but did not see that posted here.
Is there anyone that can confirm/deny the accuracy of that?

Seeing that Impacts last night on Spike could be and probably will be its last, Kenny King just delivered the final nail in the coffin with that promo.

EY - even though he's mainly been a comedy character - was booked right as the champion. They took this guy that no one took seriously and made him a serious champion who beat all comers and wasn't afraid to defend his belt. Anytime, anywhere. It's how Bryan should have been booked when he won the title, but he was weighed down instantly by f***ing Kane shit.

The full open is far worse than you got Andrew. Impact September 25th opening: MVP cut a promo saying Lashley was going to destroy MVP tonight. He then called out Chris Melendez, who he said was making headlines lately. They tried to recruit Melendez to be their bag carrier. He turned them down and King ripped him calling him "peg leg" and said he was going to teach him some respect. They have a match. Melendez pinned him with a sunset flip but was laid out. King. King said he was the star here not Melendez. He said Melendez was laying there just like he laid there when he had his leg blown off in Iraq. He said he wasn't a hero but a cripple and tried to remove his prosthetic leg. Mr. Anderson hit the ring for the save. TNA! TNA! TNA!

With that move, I'm sure TNA could scrap this years Bound for Glory because the McMahons are likely to go after TNA and its relate trademarks.

I love the idea that after all of that, the last visual we could ever see on Impact is Manik coming out in new gear. It's like the Suicide outfit is all that's been holding TNA together all these years.
Seeing as this is likely the last televised Impact before Bound For Glory, you'd figure they'd... Y'know, announce something for the show, but it doesn't seem like it.
